Thank you for the reply Ramon. I enjoy watching your videos to learn all the different techniques you use hidden in them. The repairs are great but I enjoy learning the way you approach the problem and the way you modify tools to make them work for you. Thanks my friend ❤️
If it still didnt start after the spray and hitting the gas tank. What is the next test. Do you have a video how to test ignition and do compression? Thanks
wyattoneable This was a very good example of good and bad waveform and gives you extra insurance that fuel pump needs to be replaced. Using scope is always fun.👍👍
My car is an 1991 Camry, if it works for somebody a did not have any spark, after 3 days of pulling a lot of things apart like distributor and stuff, found igniter conector broken, the one for igt signal
How do you know if it’s the crank sensor off the start of mine sound the same just won’t start my belt broke and wrap all the way around the harmonic balance but I have it all cleaned now
Hey I got a 2000 Toyota Corolla 1.8 with 98670 miles just stopped going down road new fuel pump fuse all good new crank sensor got spark got fuel cam turning so guy on utube had same problem crank crank crank nothing said the number 2 coil had spark but he said he changed it and car started right up he said it was some Toyota fail safe something I got fuel I got spark wont even start when I spray starting fluid in it what gives any ideas would a bad cam sensor cause this I'm at my wits end and thoughts driving me mad compression also good
Bill Rimmer Thank you my friend. With scopes now we can see things we could never see it before. This was a good example of good and bad fuel pump waveform. 👍👍
Ramon,my friend thanks again for another excellent and informative video. Thanks for showing a good and a bad wave form. Very helpful. Thanks again 👍👍👍 Ramon, I noticed you have some sort of portable lift under that car. Does it perform okay and would you recommend it? Just wondering thanks buddy ❤️
Intrade Motor I don’t have OBD 1 adapter for toyota I just don’t see them very often. I should probably get one. This owner comes back to me now for any repairs he needs. 👍👍
So I'm having an extremely similar problem, however my 89 Camry starts just fine when the engine is cold & I can take a small drive, but then 15 minutes later it just cranks & won't start at all for an hour or two until the engine is totally cooled again. It originally just died out on me in the middle of a road & I was stuck at an intersection, no check engine lights, no warning, no anything. So I just got done replacing the spark plugs & wires, distributor cap & rotor, then the fuel filter & fuel pump; thinking that the fuel pump & fuel filter were the main issue. I thought I had fixed it actually after having to drop my tank to change the pump since it's in a different location than the sending unit. I drove it around a nice country block & then got home, waited 15 minutes, & boom, same issue, still stuck at square 1 really, just cranking & not turning over. My last effort is going to be to buy a new EFI Main Relay, because that'll be the last thing in the fuel system to really change, & it's a cheap car anyways so I'm not going to bother digging too much further if I don't even know what the issue is. Anybody got any advice? What else could give me these symptoms?
So I’ve been trying to get my buddies 99 Camry running, he was driving it started rough idling which got worse over time then it stalled out but started back drove a lot more then went out one morning and it wouldn’t start. I changed the pump but still won’t start I’m planning on changing the fuel pressure regulator next, has spark and turning over normal
If you didn’t have original pump with connector it’s possible to swop wires and pump will change rotation and pump fuel back into fuel tank. I would check fuel pressure first
I WOULD STILL LOVE TO BUY ONE OF YOUR IGNITION PROBES FROM YOU PLEASE , NOT THE ONES FROM SNAP ON THE ONE YOU MADE THAT LOOKS AT MULTIPLE COILS AT THE SEEM TIME . THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE GREAT VIDEO THEY ARE EXTREMELY HELPFUL LOOKING FORWARD TO YOUR REPLY WITH NECESSARY INFORMATION AND THANKS AGAIN .
HELLO GOOD TO HEAR FROM YOU , HOW LONG BEFORE YOU MY MAKE SOME MORE I REALLY NEED ONE FOR MY DIAGNOSTICS I AM USING A PICO SCOPE 2204a THANKS AND WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR HELP THANK YOU .@@kyhomegarage3430
Thank you so much. So much!!!!! So it bolts to the engine or the tranny. I always thought they were mounted to front if engine and balancer had a notch to activate. Guess it gets its signal from the torque converter. Didn't except that. Thanks again.... I've been scratching my head trying to figure out HOW or where it picked up its signal.
Might behoove me to pick up a component locater manual. Darn sure it would've saved me a bunch of trouble. I tore everything from FRONT of engine to get to the balancer. Owner would have been happier, too to get his car yesterday instead of today!!!!!
J have toyota camry1992 2.2 automatic transmition. J have electric problem on the automatic gearbox. There 3 wire connected with automatic transmition. 1.neutral safety switch its connected. The other two wire don't. Fist wire is on the shifting solenoid .It's long about 12 cm but is not connected with power. J look and look and can't see where should be connected. This shifting solenoid is located behind neutral safety switch. The other cut wire is located on the right side of neutral safety switch behind the dipstik. It's long 20cm.The camry ride great in reverse very very hard sometimes drive forward .Also there is no reverse light on the back Could someone send me a link to see how is concerned the two cut wires on the automatic transmition

Nice and fast diag. Always neat to see a waveform of a bad/good fuel pump
The mech a nic thank you my friend.👍👍
Very clearly explained. Symptom...Effect...Root cause & Rectification. Waveform says it all. Very nice indeed. Thanks for taking the time.
TheGibby3340 thank you sir and thank you for watching.👍👍
Great work Ramon. Very quick diag. Nice to show us the amperage waveform as well. 👍
Dylan thank you my friend 👍👍
Thank you sir, awesome video. Will a failed crankshaft position sensor cause the fuel pump to stay off? Also no spark?
Absolutely all of the above.
Short and sweet, thanks for bringing us along!
BuddysAdventures thank you my friend I am glad you enjoyed this case study. Cheers 👍👍
If it still didnt start after the spray and hitting the gas tank. What is the next test. Do you have a video how to test ignition and do compression? Thanks
It's always nice to see the issue on a scope. I hated anything electrical in the past because I could never see it. Now I have no excuse. :)

onather great work my friend. I would love to see a video about fuel pump waveform bad and good analysis
Nidal Alrifai Thank you my friend. This was classic example what you will see on bad fuel pump or any other DC motor.👍

Great diag. Without looking at the wave form, u could b wondering if it is the pump. Confirmation is sweet!!

you can command the pump on with launch via obd1 if its obd1 i would say .

My vehicle is a 98, well.. 10/97 Toyota Camry

EFI main relay and crankshaft position sensor is a good plan.

Nice hammer by the way... 😋
👍👍👍
LM Auto Repairs it’s an old hammer from yard sale. It still gets a job done.😁😁👍

8power0 I don’t have any for sale. I just made
enough for myself. Snap on probe costs $50.00 and I just can’t beat that price.

So if you put the gas in the i take and it fo not start .its not the pump .just fuse r8ght
No. In that case check ignition and compression
10/98 Toyota Camry no spark
There is no crank sensor on the balancer. Is it back of engine by flywheel?

Where is the crankshaft sensor location?
with the distributor (under)
Should be behind harmonic balancer that’s where it is on my 01 Camry
Please i need to now we're is crank sensor for the same car on this video
together with the distributor
So
Did the car start?
Yes it did
What’s that hose you pulled out called I try mine and it broke when I tried to spray it
Pcv
Mines doesn't start with the starting fluid
Check you ignition
