I finally figured out what was messing up my views when running a mission in the editor. It's my Track IR. When I use the keys to change views with the F2, F5, F7 and F9 views, those same keys are also controlling the Track IR camera. That's why I cannot view anything! Damn, I thought I was losing my mind. So frustrating. Thanks for these tutorials. If nothing else, they make you think about what you're doing.

That trackIR default keybinding is a pain! I had the same thing... I since rehbinded my trackIR to ctrl+shift+(original)

I know this is an older video but do you have to set a flag in the action panel? why couldnt you just set an action "message to all" then have it it disappear after a few seconds?

I know this is an old video but I have a question - do I rinse and repeat if I have a row of 5 Fuel Tanks so that each tank gets a kill message? ie. 5 sep. flags?

      That's right

Everything needs to be given it's unique name, so there's no way of getting the game to "do that same thing for the others" you have to literally name the objects/groups/units (whichever you're using) with their own name, and then add a new line into the triggers that deals with them individually.
Then you could add a new line afterwards, that's basically checks in the conditions with something like:
      FuelTank1 is in TriggerZone DZ
      And
      FuelTank2 is in TriggerZone DZ
      And
      .....
      FuelTank5 is in TriggerZone DZ
then in the actions you can activate a flag that's called something like:
      SetFlag AllFuelInPosition = True

Your tutorials are excellent. They made me understand the use and the meaning of flags.I just wonder if you could also do a tutorial or include in one,the triggered actions selection in the menu of every unit.Thank you.

I appreciate your kind words very much, and it honestly makes me happy to find many people, like yourself, have understood the concepts behind things like flags from these videos. I like your suggestion, I will certainly look into making another DCS mission editor tutorial and include that idea - at least for a variety of key unit/types. There's a couple of ideas others have given me since I last made this kinda tutorial, so I'll work the all in together. Thanks again
