- Put in some headphones and take a drive on the backroads of the Blue Ridge Mountains onboard this 1978 Porsche 911 SC hotrod, affectionately called the Dirty Penny. This car has a 3.0 liter SC engine with 964 cams, headers, and Supertrapp exhaust, so the sound is just incredible! Shot during Targa Carolina 2021.

These 911s are some of the best built cars ever.

That engine sounds SO SO SOOOO Fxxcking good Dude,,,
Nice 👍👍👍
Awesome 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾Air kool life 😎
I can't even count the amount of the those I've restored. Well body and frame. They are beautiful cars and surprisingly strong framed. The only thing I never like is you kinda have to give the doors more force to close than like. Other than that they are great.
Could you build me a plain Jane 70’s-80’s ?
@@deborahchesser7375 a basket case 911 can go for around 20 to 30k. The body restoration cost around 35k not including reassembly. Engine rebuild is 30k. Transmission is close to 10k. Couldn't even tell you cost of interior work. Unless you have over 200k in your bank account I would just find a nice survivor car.
Slamming doors to close them fully was completely normal with pre-1980’s cars, except luxury models.
@@timonsolus I've had several pre 80s cars and even a 58 f100. None of them had to be slammed, not even my 79 firebird with that 300lb door. What I'm talking about is only the 911s. The 944s, 928s and 968s don't have the same issue.
More Dirty Penny please!
What are the wheel and tire sizes?
Great. How many discs you have in the supertrapp top end ?
imsa horn button.....sweet......wheels?..minilites or?
Wow you really kept to the legal speed limit I bet ….
Looks like a pair of super traps ?
yes...he said this
Is this dirty penny?
work on rev matching....😉😉😉.
Not a fan of the colour, the ducktail, the yellow headlights or the yellow lettering, but it sounds really healthy when pressing on. Lovely.
Seems buddy does not know how to drive a 911.
