Dead Man's Party and Weird Science are their most known songs. You... almost, certainly know the work of the singer. He is Danny Elfman, who has done loads of movie soundtracks. Batman, Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, the Simpsons theme, the Tales From The Crypt theme, etc, etc, etc.
Btw the Little Girls song was to troll the culture of the time of old rich men with "18" year olds on their arms. He was talking shit about them publicly, basically declaring those people pedophiles.
They are one of the most talented bands of the 80's with several grate songs try "Grey matter" "who do you want to be today" "nothing bad ever happens to me" only a lad" are just a few of the dope tunes!!
Older Oingo Bingo, like Nothing To Fear, Insects, Grey Matter, No Spill Blood... That shit is Dope....
Great songs by O.B......
Grey Matter
If We Get The Room
Out Of Control
Life Underground
We Close Our Eyes
and of course
Wild Sex (In The Working Class)
Danny Elfman, so creative and Oingo Boingo great fun. Cheers RRT.
That beat though, haha, the one playing where you thank the peeps for the likes, shares, comments and donations is so fire! I don’t know what it is, but I love that bouncy beat. And ah, Oingo Boingo, finally digging into the new wave era that I love so much. They’re a fun band and killer reaction, as usual won’t expect any less from you sir. Other suggestions I’d say Simple Minds, The Cars, The Fixx, Split Endz, too many to choose.
The age of new wave music....it was fun and lyrics were to amuse. Some suggestions from that era:
The Cars
The English Beat
Billy Idol
Berlin
Elivs Costello
Joe Jackson
The Motels
The Church
Depeshemode
Timbuck 3
The Go Gos
Eurythmics
Josie Cotton
The Polecats
Psychedelic Furs
Violent Fems
Suicidal Tendencies
Talking Heads
Romeo Void
B52s
Dramarama
Echo and the Bunnymen
The Dead Kennedys
Blondie
Kim Wild
Anyone have any other suggestions? I had mucho fun clubbing and dancing to New Wave Music...I traveled for my job and went to clubs all over the East Coast. I loved this music and you could dress outlandishly and wear crazy makeup. Miss those days! 🖤💟💜💛💖💝💞❣💚💙
The Pyramid Club, on the Lower East Side, is still rockin' it. Of those bands? Cars, EB, EC, JJ, Eurythmics,PF,TH,B52s,DK,Blondie. I don't think ST and DK are New Wave. West coast punk. Peace.
The Cure, Tubeway Army, Souxie and the Banshees
@@shanesmith2853 Very good choices...💜✌
@@TheOriginalFILIBUSTA I was trying to remember what I listened to in those days, of that genre. Yeah, ST and DK were WC punk....are you old enough to remember the zero people from those days...it was a stylised way of dressing...like punk but more artistic and fantasy...that was from the West Coast
They Might Be Giants.
You should react to Stay (including the music video)! Also, no, Danny isn't a Pedo, he made fun of them in Little Girls.
A lot of the early Boingo songs are intentionally satirical. It’s satire on society, capitalism, political views, affluence, etc. listen to songs like Only A Lad, Nothing Bad Ever Happens To Me, On The Outside, Nasty Habits, Ain’t This The Life.
Great song!
Living in L.A. in the 80s, Oingo Boingo were a staple in the somewhat underground music scene. Saw they lots of times live and every one of those performances were mind-boggling. They leaned heavy on spookier themes and did an annual Halloween show somewhere in the area. Those shows became legendary. Here are links to a couple of live performances you might love. Huge band. Killer energy. 3 hour shows. Danny Elfman went on to become a film composer and has done the scores for tons of big films, including almost everything Tim Burton has directed.

The Halloween shows were in Irvine at the amphitheater.
Good on you man. Dead Mans Party is another good one. Maybe some Fat Chance Hotel from Public Image Limited from back in the day.
Yes, Pil another great band.
Little Girls is not from Danny Elfman's perspective. He was making fun of old (usually rich) guys whose girlfriends are way too young because he found it creepy.
This song has nothing to do with that song or that topic, it's just about being depressed and getting tired of seeing the same things every day but seeing no way out of the loop.
Let's be honest, most people don't get Oingo Boingo and Danny Elfman, including Danny. He sold out a long time ago.
Not sure about the copping a plea here, sounds pretty straightforward... he's a shut-in, bored to death and wants out, but there's nowhere to go (and it's frightening out there).
I could be wrong too. *shrug*
Michael Free idk either just having fun ✌️
If you really want to understand Boingo you need to look deeper into the band....really listen to the music it's a huge band musically. Just saying...
Just happened on your video as I was looking around for reactions to this song. So far as I can tell you're the only one. As for "Little Girls" it was apparently inspired by a news article, and part of a thought exercise for Danny, the singer. Mostly the point of the song is to be weird and off putting, and maybe just see if any one took the dark humor too seriously and would upset some one. Back then that kind of thing could get you attention that sold records. As for Private Life what I get out of the song is that it's about some one who is stuck in side all the time, and longs to escape out into the normal world, but feels powerless to do so.
Hey, I know this is a five year old video but just a heads up the song little girls isn’t actually about pedophilia.
It’s about these 50 year old men that keep dating 20 to 25 year old women and he’s just going hard on them. It is kinda sad when you see that, right?
But yeah, the song is NOT a defense of pedophilia.
Thanks ✌️
Gotta realize that he/Danny Elfman/Oingo Boingo was from the 80’s early video days and you said it about anything goes in videos back then. His music was a mix of new wave and sca. It’s still hard for me to realize that Elfman went on to do soundtrack music for so many great and quirky movies!
Not one of Oingo Boingo's better songs but Danny Elfman is A Genius when it comes to music..The song Little Girls isn't a perverted song, it's about how Danny's girlfriend, at the time was so very little..And he loved her, so he was singing about her..You must listen to Dead man's party ,Stay, Just another day, among other Oingo Boingo songs..as I'm Sure You will Most Likely "Love" them...Also, Devo is A Great Band too😊They are Both considered as Punk, New Wave or Alternative Bands...Thank You RRT✌
Danny is a genius. Musical savant. He does mostly movie soundtracks now.
Totally disagree. One of Danny's best tunes
Whats up bud lets go
Also I went try to start a discussion on your new channel... so if it gets it kicked off maybe you can skip my Metal Church request to the front of the line...If not You are still my favorite Reaction Channel
EZisme i e done metal church recently
@@themightyfp I know but these are from first album from 1984 with differnt singer
Gwar - Immortal Corruptor
Aurora - Running with the Wolves
Cat Clyde - Mama Said
Talking Heads - Life During Wartime, and Psycho Killer
I know Danny personally...and NO, he's not into "little Girls".
sarah daw 😃 good to know ✌️
My friend April knows him too. She used to date Jerry from Devo, and used to hang with all the new wave bands in the 80’s. She can definitely concur that Danny is no pedo. He just a brilliant composer/musician/singer...
Yeah, he just likes dark and disturbing subject matter.
PLEASE React to the band METAL CHURCH... Either the song Gods of Wrath or the song Metal Church...or even better do a double reaction to both lol.... LOVE THIS CHANNEL
You should check out the video for Oingo Boingo's song Dead Man's Party. The band made a cameo appearance in the movie Back to School with Rodney Dangerfield. In fact, you should watch the movie Back to School if you've never seen it, it's very funny. I got to watch some of the movie scenes being filmed because they were filmed in my hometown at the UW campus. Danny Elfman's music career gained huge prominence over the years doing movie soundtracks.
I had forgot to mention I. You last Boingo video that you hit the nail on the head when you brought up Weird Science. They did the theme song for that movie. Also, if you ever watched the movie Back To School, with Rodney Dangerfield, Oingo Boingo is in that film performing Dead Man’s Party.
Danny also did the theme songs for The Simpsons, and Tales From The Crypt. I’m sure peeps let you know what’s up with him and Tim Burton.
I neither like or dislike Oingo Boingo. The video was typical 1980s. I thought Devo and The B-52s were more fun bands. Danny Elfman and Mark Mothersbaugh (Devo) became more known for their movie/TV soundtracks.
Oingo Bongo kicked ass live and sounded much better with the guitars turned up.
Check out the Boingo Alive album where they re-recorded two cds worth of previously released material live on a soundstage. The guitars are turned up and the sound is punchy.
If you like Oingo Boingo you might want to check out a band called Fishbone too. My personal favorite album of their's is called "The Reality of My Surroundings".
Porter Band - Garage
HAHAHA ..Yeah man if you've on dope tripping..SURE DOPE..Where is my spoon..damn it ..!!!
Tubeway Army - Down in the Park
Wtf were these guys on? Weird ass song, but it is honestly the epitome of an 80s new wave song.
Sounds like the Cars and that's ok. Now you need to do some Cars / Just what I Needed , Sounds like this but much better trust me . If that was dope . Cars are much better .
Double RT if you liked this try some Cars / Just what I needed . You will trip how much they sound alike.
Got to listen to Boston foreplay/long time or cool the engine
Lololol .........heres a really..unique band for you, they're hilarious,
Hogscraper - Sons of Adam
Just remember who scarred you afterwards ;) lolol
I love you
Never occurred to me that this is another pedo song... And then Elfman goes to Hollywood, where pedos are welcome? Or maybe he's just weird/creative? Oingo Boing was a weird band, Simpsons has a weird theme song (TV theme songs need lyrics that explain the show's premise, everyone knew that back in the day), Weird Science has weird right in the title... I don't know what's going on :)
You are so wrong...
