  • In this video you will see a Herman Miller Embody review. The video will help decide if the Herman Miller Embody is the best home office chair. I purchased this Herman Miller chair around 2 years ago so I have had enough time to give a good review. I have also owned a Herman Miller Aeron so I have compared Herman Miller Embody vs Herman Miller Aeron. This is the 3rd Herman Miller Embody that I have purchased. I will review the configuration of my Herman Miller Embody and talk about the things I like about it and how to make the Herman Miller Embody adjustments.

    When working from home and sitting in front of the computer for extended periods of time it is very important to have a desk chair that is supportive and comfortable. I feel that the Herman Miller Embody chair is the best chair you can buy.
    This Herman Miller chair is one of the most expensive Herman Miller desk chairs you can purchase. Prices of the Herman Miller Embody currently range from $1,100 USD to over $1,700 USD. The Herman Miller Embody is very expensive but I do think it is worth it if it falls in your budget.

      I own one for about 5 years now. LOOOVE it. Arm rest padding tho ... my left started shrinking internally after few months and not it looks like its been vacuumed in and deformed.Still soft and feels great, just looks wierd. Place i bought it from will replace it but want me to bring the chair to their service center and thats a huge issue since chair is heavy. Huge improvement over my old one that i had since 1984 (already ergonomic and shaped after human body) that still works, but this is ... amazing chair. 5 out of 5.

    Hello!
    I know it's an old video, but I recently learned that if you want to adjust your armrests away or towards you, you can slightly lift up on the armrest and reposition it! It makes it a lot easier, and you don't have to be brutal to the chair while doing so.

    I got the Logitech G Embody brand new off of eBay for $1100 shipped to my door. I knew I had to get this chair when I saw it and I’m glad I purchased it because it is so comfortable and I like the Cyan color backing.

  • @iHustleLXXXI

    I have the Logitech Embody for about 4 weeks now and it’s most definitely the most comfort chair that I have ever sat in. I bought mine brand new shipped to my door for $1100. I have been sitting in it 12hrs/ day 7 days a week and everything is as good looking as it was when I first got the chair. To be honest, it took me 2 weeks for my body to adjust to this chair. Since I’ve been sitting in the chair I have not experienced any sort of pain in my body from sitting. My Steelecase series 1 chair would hurt my tailbone after sitting in it for 3hrs. This is by far the best purchase I have ever made. Worth every penny. My only gripe and looking back I would buy the black on black colorway of the Logitech embody.

    Hi Jamey! Late comment, but recently got a regular Embody after watching your reviews and wanted to ask if there was a transition period for you in terms of getting used to the chair? I upgraded from a Sayl! I ask because I notice my hamstrings feeling pressure when sitting on the Embody and not sure if its a seat height/depth issue or a “Im not used to sitting in the Embody” issue yet. Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

      I do recall experiencing this a little bit. I would suggest playing around with the extender in different positions. Hi, very nice review!
    I have the balance fabric and the seat edge is rigid and overall even the seat after many hours is uncomfortable. The edge cuts my thighs. I tried to adjust the height and depth of the seat leaving three fingers between the edge and the back of the knee, but the situation doesn't change. Could you give me some advice? I thought I'd put a light padding under the fabric, a bit like the logitech model.

    • @JameyKocan
      @JameyKocan  3 года назад +1

      It's tough for me to give advice because I have not experienced that at all. I wonder If there are other adjustments that can be made in addition to the seat pan depth to help address the issue. I find the way the seat pan rolls at the end of the chair is super comfortable

    • @JameyKocan
      @JameyKocan  3 года назад

      I had compared the 2 at one point. I just didn’t like the mechanism of adjustment on the Human Scale vs the Embody. I think the Freedom can look cool when it’s in leather but then it gets crazy expensive.

    • @FastRedPonyCar
      @FastRedPonyCar 3 года назад

      @@JameyKocan I found a post on Reddit from a guy who's dealt the Human Scale chairs and said that there's an adjustment screw to change recline tension. I pulled the trigger on it so I should hopefully have it in about a month according to the local Human scale store. The guy in the store echoed the same sentiment about lack of adjust-ability but said by and large, most owners he's sold to have said that "it just works" as far as fitting them and feeling good. Fingers crossed that I fit into that category because they don't accept returns. I don't think any Humanscale dealer does.
      I went with it mainly because I do more reclining for gaming and watching movies in the chair than actually sitting upright at a desk. It's at a desk but I have a TV to the side with my gaming PC/Consoles connected so most of the evening in my chair is with my feet up leaned back. Not having a headrest to keep my head pointed towards the TV eventually leads to neck pain.
      I've got a pretty cheap high back office chair from office depot right now with zero adjustment, a blanket in the seat because the foam disintegrated immediately and a couple throw pillows behind me.
      Even if it's not a perfect fit, the dealer said that he's replaced arm rests on 15~20 year old (according to serial numbers) Freedoms and other than the arm rest material giving out, the rest of the chair is practically bulletproof.

I didn’t find it comfortable and I didn’t like how you make adjustments. The seat pan lifts up as it extends toward your knees and has plastic trimming. It would dig into my thighs. It’s also a more compact chair whereas the Embody has a very large seat pan that allows for many different seating positions. This is something I really value as I am sitting in it for many hours every day. Hope this helps!

The Aeron is much more narrow and does not have the same amount of adjustments as the Embody. The main issue I had with the Aeron is how the seat is shaped. Great timing for this review thanks! I just ordered the same configuration except for the color which I chose the Berry Blue Balance fabric. It's a beauty, can't wait to spend my working days on it!

      The chair promotes sitting in a way where you don't need a headrest

      Hey man I’m not sure if you said it in the video, but is the embody good for sitting for multiple hours? I am a student and spend most of my time at my desk.

      100% I’ve always worked remotely and routinely will be in the chair off and on for up to 12 hours a day

    A chair with a backrest that is too comfortable is nothing more than the pot for the plant that you will become! Of course, if you use it 8-10 hours a day, without going to the gym!
