    Thanks for sharing this tip. I find myself constantly fiddling with the adjustments but never this one for some reason. Feel so much better now that I turn the lumbar down more. The only thing I wish it had was some neck support so I could lean back in it more.

    No question this is the best chair ever created, but it has to be adjusted right or it will be uncomfortable. When I sat in one at the showroom floor in NYC I was stunned. It was so crazy comfortable. Most chairs just hurt me. But this was amazing. When I finally bought one I was disappointed at how uncomfortable it felt. Only after mastering the adjustments could I find that perfect zone, the one I felt on the showroom floor. Now I cannot sit in anything else.

    Even at the highest lumbar setting (70+ turns), the Embody does not hurt my back or feel like a rock. Lumbar support is not my issue. However, the Embody hurts my neck because although I know how to actually change the backfit adjustment, I cannot figure out which adjustment is right for the shape of my back. Matching the backfit to my S curve is not as intuitive as I hoped. I did get the Herman Miller footrest because the HM website claims the footrest helps distribute the torso weight on the spine but this isn't really helping much with my issue. Any tips? Thank you.

      man from philly Hey man from philly, what sort of neck pain are you experiencing? I think neck pain from any chair would likely have more to do with overall workspace ergonomics, monitor placement, etc.
      Do you have a curvy spine or is it more flat? The best way to adjust the Embody is to try to rotate the knob back until you feel the back rest is supporting your entire spine. I would suspect you may have turned the knob too far backwards. Increasing your lumbar curve may cause you to increase your cervical curve as well, which may cause the muscles to tighten.
      I'd try easing off the lumbar a bit, see how that works.

    Can't get comfortable no matter what I do. Lumbar soars my back.

    I got the Logitech embody brand new for $1100 shipped brand new. I love everything about my new chair and have no complaints other than the blue back color which I have to admit was one of the reasons I got that version to begin with. Lol.

    How's the chair? Still using it? Are plastic pieces in the back bothering you after hours of sitting? Thanks

      Hi I still have it. It's pretty old at this point and the seat has started to feel like it's sinking. It's still comfortable though.

    Any advice for adjusting the chair if you have pain between your shoulder blades? I'm about 6' 3"

      In my experience that type of pain is due to tight muscles between the shoulders, perhaps from slouching or forward shoulder posture also known as upper crossed syndrome. You may consider reclining in the chair more to reduce forward shoulder posture. Besides that tip I don't know if a chair adjustment will relieve your discomfort. Stretching your pec minor and subscapularis along with strengthening your rhomboids and lower traps may help reduce upper crossed syndrome. Fixing that sort of posture takes time though.

      Shady E I just have the regular fabric and it seems to do ok. I don't have experience with the upgraded fabric.

    Plot twist - embody chair doesn’t have lumbar support adjustment 😱

    • @AlexWiant
      @AlexWiant  3 года назад

      It has adjustments for your lumbar curve. Perhaps it's not like a traditional lumbar support however you can certainly adjust the chair to support your lower back.
