    I'm so very happy I came across your video. I was so much in pain walking, my nerve from top buttocks all the way to my below the knee. I did all the exercise as you directed. Thank God after a week or 2, I'm able to walk normal. Minimal pain as that occurs, I just do my exercise. It works. God bless you.

    I was suffering from a terrible case of pes anserine bursitis for the past 7 years. Got treatment by several doctors and chiropractors and orthopaedics and even physical therapists, but unfortunately nobody was able to detect the problem, let alone treat it. I always thought I had an mcl tear or some ligament issue but a week ago, I found your videos on PAB and for the first time ever, I could relate and recognise the pain areas. I followed your exercises and a week later I'm a whole new person. I can walk. Sleep without pain. I'm overwhelmed and super grateful to you.
    Today I watched this video for my father who's suffering from sciatica and I hope it'll help him just as much as your videos helped me. You're truly a blessing.
    Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart 😊❤

    I have watched soooo many videos on this subject, since I'm currently suffering badly and this, by far, is the most helpful. You've presented this information so usefully and have offered the best explanation both for the likely causes of it as well as the route out of it and I'm extremely grateful, thank you!

      I second this!! He makes the most sense and he’s absolutely right about working on activating the glutes and core! I’ve had this yucky sciatica for 6 years or more, I just didn’t know what it was. It’s been getting worse. My glutes and core are extremely weak. I’m working those first!!

    Excellent video. 64 year old guy here, who has worked physically hard all my life, from professional drywall hanging, truck mechanics, home renovations, and other et cetera. My lower back muscles are likely over developed. I've had on-and-off problems with sciatica for decades.
    -Started in my 30 . . . ding!
    -Switches back and forth from leg to leg . . . ding!
    -Shots relieve it for a few months, then it comes back . . . ding!
    -Completely pain free just sitting around the house . . . ding!
    -Over-the-counter meds don't touch it . . . ding!
    -Chiropractic crunching had no effect or made it worse . . . ding!
    Thanks for the great information. I've begun working through your exercise playlist.

    I slipped over many months ago and hurt my back. From there I fell over trying to get up from the toilet. I think that's when I did the most damage. The pain has gotten so bad that I cannot walk unassisted or even shower myself. I haven't been to a Dr because I am in a foreign country without insurance. Anyway I think the problem is definitely sciatica as I have had prolapsed discs in the past. I am hoping with rest the inflammation will be reduced. I am taking tramadol which doesn't seem to even put a dent in the pain. This is the best video I have watched in regards to sciatica. Thanks so much.

    I am so glad that I found your channel! The way you explain things and the information you provide has been truly invaluable; And even though, it can't replace seeing a doctor in person and getting an actual diagnosis, it's helped to pinpoint and make sense of where my pain/sensations are coming from. There are so many, "physicians" out there that just won't impart knowledge because they want to make some easy money off someone who is none the wiser. Thank you sir! I’m 77 years old with scoliosis. I have two Harrington rods in my back full length of my back in 2000. About five days ago, I woke up with pain that wouldn’t allow me to walk at all. It was the worst pain I have ever felt in my life. I take pain relievers just so I can move and do things I need to do. I’ve got an appointment with the doctor so I will ask about it first. But I need to mask it temporarily because I can’t take it. It goes all the way down to my leg to my feet ankles. The pain that’s in the lower part of my leg actually causes the front of my leg and the side of my leg down to the ankle hurt like hell.
    When I take something to help with the pain, it helps so I can do things that I have to do are very important. I have to feed my dog at a certain time because he’s diabetic and I need to give him insulin. I get up two hours prior and move around with some pain meds and it will fade well enough for me to take care of my little dog. After about two hours it is back full bore of pain again. I take some Tylenol, it fades it a little bit. Well you know what I’m talking about.
    Where I live in California you can’t just call up your doctors office and say can I come in tomorrow? It’s likely to be a week or two. Thank you for your time.

    • @epmanualphysicaltherapy

      Hey Dan, sciatica is often caused by muscle imbalances. The abductor and adductor muscles can contribute to this muscle imbalance and is not recommended initially. Doctor . I live in Chicago I sit for living over 5 years sometimes up 12 hours ... I don’t longer work sitting that long but still. Today has been a year since the pain started. They did 3 mri. Hip, lower back and sacroiliac joint. Hip and SJ shows no abnormalities, but lower back shoes disc dehydration and annular tear L5 S1 . My pain started like in my groin. Lower abdomen like pinched and needles after a dull ache pain while sitting working. Also like pain around my genitals left side, then like causing pooping and clicking in different part of my hip and down the leg. When I lift my leg up. Laying face down a bad pain flares up where leg and glute meets. I tried piriformis injections steroids and didn’t work. Nothing helps the pain doctor thinks the L5 S1 finding is not the cause of the pain .. what I should do ? I wush I could find someone with some relief

    NO, My MD, told me my symptoms were not consistent with the MRI, I could not walk across the street. The best chiropractor, confirmed by PT, my hips were not level, and my upper back twistef. With the first adjustment, my cognitive, vision and the urgency to urine immediately improved. All the exercises I was told to do, you say, never do.

    • @epmanualphysicaltherapy
      @epmanualphysicaltherapy  10 месяцев назад

      Hey there, sciatica is very commonly caused by a rotation or torsion in your pelvis causing your hips to not be level. The adjustments, when done correctly, can greatly improve your symptoms! The exercises we say to avoid are exercises that would aggravate sciatica symptoms if somebody is already dealing with constant pain. Some of these exercises would be beneficial after an adjustment, however, we try to guide people who are unable to receive these services. Hope this clears things up!

      Hey Eraina, the research on laser treatment is inconclusive. What we support here is addressing the root cause of the problem, rather than just trying to get rid of the pain. Can it be side of the calf... Rather than back of it?

    • @epmanualphysicaltherapy
      @epmanualphysicaltherapy  10 месяцев назад

      Hey Rashmi 👋! It is not unlikely that you could be experiencing pain in the back of your calf due to a sciatica issue but we can't 100% say as we don't fully know the extent of you diagnosis. Sciatica pain in regards to the calf shouldn't cause any swelling or redness so we'd suggest to make sure you aren't experiencing any of the two. We also recommend giving the stretches/exercises in the video a try and if your pain seems to improve then that could possibly answer your question.
      Also we'd like to leave you with some additional resources, you can access it here:

      @@epmanualphysicaltherapy thank you! I see my orthopedic doctor tomorrow just to get some referrals for rehab. I have been hobbling since COVID last July. Your videos have really helped me. Since having an x-ray of my hips we can see the osteoarthritis in my lumbar region and maybe I have been suffering sciatica this past year. I have worked on psoas and adductors like crazy. I’m better and ready to start light weight lifting again. I wish you were closer to Houston!

      My lower hip bone seems compressed to touch the tail bone especially when standing or sitting. Then I get flash of sharp pains, as if electrical shock, to the leg and foot. And I have osteoarthritis. So what is what?
