    This guy is great ~ thanks for a well done and well described video! Now, how would you like to make me one and I'll pay you for it as I no longer have the patience, sufficient tools or physical strength, due to health related problems, to make one. I really want to juice with this method in the hopes of trying to feel better with proper nutrition.

    Amazing!! This is exactly what I was looking for... was just telling my dad there's gotta be a way to make a Welles press for much less than what it cost. Thanks so much!

    These skills should be taught to EVERY student in school. Easily as important as any science or math class and far more practical. To think of all the money we waste buying ridiculous stuff we could make ourselves. And when we make it ourselves we can custom tailor it to our exact needs making it far more valuable to us.

    I was planning one out in my head when I decided to see if anyone had already made one. Very nice, easy to understand video instruction. Mine would have been much more expensive as I was thinking I needed steel plates and 5/8" rod. I downsized from a house to a small apartment and no longer have many tools. Also disabled and need to sit to work. But I think I can make something.. "One of these days."

    Wow you blew my mind. I just googled this and when I started my project you had not made your video. I have a 15 ton Shop press that I have been using for car maintenance in the garage. I wanted an 8 ton but when I had it delivered they delivered a 15 ton (total over kill) I rang the delivery place and they thought I would be using it solely for car maintenance and had no idea that I would be using it for juicing in the future. They thought they were doing me a favor as the 8 ton was out of stock. LOL. Thank you so much for the specs sheet and an awesome awesome awesome video. I pressed juice in it the other day for the first time. The press component was nothing close to your standard and I will have to make version 2 according to your specs with some of your ideas. Yet again thank you!!! Kind Regards Wayne

    • @MaxMakerChannel
      @MaxMakerChannel  5 лет назад

      Wow. With 16 tons you can squeeze a huge area! Make it bigger if you can. That way you get more produce in a flatter fabric bundle. Reduces the load on the filter fabric and saves you from doing multiple presses.

    BIG WINNER! - but don't forget to include some pulp - for fiber and chewing sense. To do this naturally, takes a vat to squeeze in, and then agitation and pouring - possibly in multiple passes, with addition of a concentrated source of natural Vit C like Ascerola to maintain the strength. Just add Stevia for great taste.

    Took the thoughts right out of my head, excellent video! I was looking into buying a hydraulic juice press but they are so expensive for such a simple concept. Subscribed
    I'm planning on modifying a gastronorm that I picked up cheaply for the tray and considering fabricating a simple surround for the lower half to cover up the jack and make it a little bit more aesthetically pleasing.

    Take the pulp and add it to a food dehydrator to make fruit or vegetable powder. Drying time will be super fast since you’ve removed the liquid and it will easily be powdered in any grinder.

    Two things I notice with this build: 1) you need to make sure the base plate that is attached to the head of the jack is level, 2) I would probably counter sink the bottom nuts so that the entire unit sits flat so the the forces from the jack does not BEND the base. I avoided the metal container and plunger and just place the materials in a ziplock bag with a hole at the bottom and slant the entire unit to allow drainage.

    I was thinking about making one of these recently and here you are making one. Now I don't have to do anymore thinking but follow your design. however I want to make the plate a big bigger so I can put a larger sized batch in there. one thing you can do which they do with these two step juicers you pay 2000 dollars for is put more than one wrapped bag in at a time so you can juice more at once. good job and thanks for the excellent video.

    The parts: Threaded rod and the top and bottom wood plates are easy to get locally. Even the jack is available in many hardware stores. What is needed is the pans. That is something not available that you used tools to make that most people don't have and don't have the work area to do it even if they had the tools.
    I have to comment on your voice and attitude. Its very unique. Its positive of course but its also so much more. It sounds engenius. People get inspired by voices like yours. You should teach courses. Your voice and attitude is gold. Its positive without sounding unrealistic. Its just the perfect balance. I believe you would connect with the masses like very few others.

    Nice build! The only thing I would have changed would have been to fit a hose bib handle with a rod to the open close valve of the hydraulic jack since I think it would last longer and allow more of a turning angle. Also it might help to make the plastic press plate slightly concave to help keep the material from squeezing out the sides. Great job and very useful.

    • @MaxMakerChannel
      @MaxMakerChannel  7 лет назад

      +The Robotics Code Depot Thanks! How would you male the plastic concave?

    • @theroboticscodedepot7736
      @theroboticscodedepot7736 7 лет назад

      Best way would be to use a CNC router if you have access to one. But just slightly concave otherwise the center stuff would not get compressed as much.
