Nice cab ride through Puglia, the railway is in very good condition and fast. Visited also this wonderful region in 2018, there are very nice cities there, like Bari, Brindisi, Polignano, Monopoli and Lecce, all along this line. Interessantissimo anche questo video per me che vivo a Bari. In vita mia, ho viaggiato in treno, partendo da Bari ma sempre verso il nord e, quindi, percorrendo l'Adriatica. Mi mancava, quindi, la conoscenza della linea verso Lecce e questo video ci voleva proprio. Grazie mille.
Prendo spesso l'8801 da Ferrara fino a Lecce. Sarebbe bello vedere un video da Bologna Centrale a Lecce (Direttrice Adriatica). La linea ogni tanto è costiera. Ottimo video.

Credo che ci sia un errore, quella indicata come la tangenziale di Lecce è in realtà Viale della Repubblica. Il sovrappasso della tangenziale (s.s.694)invece è al km 146,9. Bellissimo video.
Come segnalato i km sono 150, comunque 1 ora e 54 minuti per un regionale che fa’ 15 fermate prima di Lecce non mi sembra male…cinquanta anni fa il treno più’ veloce da Bari a Lecce impiegava 1 ora e 48 minuti con la sola fermata di Brindisi….
Tra l'altro Frecciarossa o col regionale veloce ci metti 1:20, che diminuirà di altri 20 minuti appena finiranno di portare anche la tratta Bari - Brindisi a 200 km/h, mentre quella velocità è già operativa da Brindisi a Lecce
Sino agli anni Novanta la linea ferroviaria Bari - Lecce era un solo binario e non elettrificata, in più era funzionante regolarmente la Stazione di Tuturano (l'unica Frazione di Brindisi). Questo lo si può vedere negli storici video del Canale RUclips aloisius1950, cui il signore ha ripreso nel 1995.

By the way, your cab view videos are of very high quality and truly relaxing. I just watched the one shot in Cinque Terre. Are you personally driving railway engines all over Italy? That would be a very impressive job. But even if you do not and obtain the videos from someone else, they are very pleasant and satisfying to watch, particularly for someone who grew up near a railway in Eastern Europe. In the 19th century the roads were divided into sections of 4-5 km in length, those buildings were used for the accommodation of the managers and for the garage of the vehicles used for the maintenance of the assigned stretch of road. Can't tell excatly for Italy but they are planned in Croatia - they plan to have thermal cameras to check if there are overheating axles or brakes to preventively monitor the (primarily cargo).trains.

As Zvonimir said, it checks that trains respect the loading gauge, i.e. that no load is sticking out of it, that there are no overheating axles, no overhating brakes, and so on and so forth

@@RailRelaxation That was a jocular/mildly sarcastic question. I knew full well that winters there are very mild, especially when compared to ours. By the way, your cab view videos are of very high quality and truly relaxing. I just watched the one shot in Cinque Terre. Are you personally driving railway engines all over Italy? That would be a very impressive job. But even if you do not and obtain the videos from someone else, they are very pleasant and satisfying to watch, particularly for someone who grew up near a railway in Eastern Europe. I will subscribe in case you have others coming. Congratulations!
@Fierbepere I know about the question, but for me coming from Brazil, even winters in South Italy are quite harsh 😉. I am glad that you like the videos on the channel. In the 19th century the roads were divided into sections of 4-5 km in length, those buildings were used for the accommodation of the managers and for the garage of the vehicles used for the maintenance of the assigned stretch of road. The ones you find on the sides of the railways served similar functions.

Can't tell excatly for Italy but they are planned in Croatia - they plan to have thermal cameras to check if there are overheating axles or brakes to preventively monitor the (primarily cargo).trains.
Take a look at this video on Gotthard tunnel, around 4 minutes they show one of their measurement portals, I would assume this would be similar system:

As Zvonimir said, it checks that trains respect the loading gauge, i.e. that no load is sticking out of it, that there are no overheating axles, no overhating brakes, and so on and so forth
