OKAY BUT - this showed up in my house one day and ⟟ watched it over and over till it disappeared like the rest -
All of this is in the moms head. She has so much anxiety about her kids that she goes insane and imagines what ifs. Thats why when she comes home everything is super clean and tidy. Cus in reality nothing happened. They just played games together while the babysitter slept. The world is all through her lens. She sees the world a happy perfect place. And her boss is some weirdo with ocd. And the whole boyfriend thing, shes just settling. She doesnt really want to be with him so she creates these scenarios in her head, "what if he did ____ to the kids", kinda like making excuses for herself not to be with him.

AH and it would also explain why the cat is reminiscent of the father/the wife's ex: in her manifestations of concern, she creates a disrupting force with familiar traits, but the worst ones have been amplified in her anxious mind. It's her ex, but more chaotic and more of all the things she hated about him that led her to split up with him in the first place. The embodiment of her nightmares.

Somehow you managed to capture the exact depravity I felt when I first watched this movie. Every time I have to watch it I immediately tell myself that it was a fever dream because I don't want to deal with the fact that *this* is a movie the adults in my life thought was appropriate to show to a child, and it also exists.

Black Mirror is a cat in the hat copy.
The town could be a dystopian experiment like the town in The Giver, but with different drugs and a slightly altered experiment. Scientists in northern Montana could have built this set to experiment with more frowned upon drugs like LSD or acid, or maybe going as far as DMT, with the cat as a inside agent documenting the kids live reactions and mental capacities to their environment around them collapsing in on itself. The mother and the cat could be the kids real parents put into the simulation to test their abilities under extreme levels of stress. Or it could he another instance of the truman show and this is some sort of live entertainment for the rest of the world and everyone around the kids are actors. Or maybe its just some fever dream-like movie we all for some reason remember
Couldn't be DMT... with that, the people would be dead, not hallucinating on their feet. DMT is something that needs to be microdosed, as even microdoses are potent enough to kill, which is why with DMT you're supposed to do it with another person or in a group, so they can force air into your lungs (It renders the user unconscious and unable to breathe)

Nah it's not magic. This is actually a memory, a traumatic one. Their abusive father comes back and kidnaps them, their coping mechanism is to look back on it as a big cat and it all being magic. I used to love the movie as a child, but when I watched it I always had this tingly feel telling me that something feels off, or in some scenarios in the movie it made me feel like everybody was going crazy. Really, he's commiting felonies: the parents left and a complete stranger walks (broke) into thier house , gets rid of thier nanny (assaulted), and spends hours "playing" with the kids but all his games are "naughty" . The kids don't really want to play but he just keeps going (held hostage), he knows thier personal info like he's been watching them (stalking) then pulls out a contract that says he can do all of this (enticement of minors)...then he cleans it all up before thier parents get home so they have no idea what happened to them (kidnapped) . He literally traumatizes them so badly they'll probably never tell and if they did no one would believe them......there's no other cat-people in this movie, no one knows where he came from so he'll never get caught.

I always had a theory about The Cat. You know-how Christmas has a demon known as Krampus a demon who kidnaps kids to scares them into being nice, not naughty. Well, what if The Cat is like Krampus except he is there to teach kids responsibility and how to have some fun instead of following a set of rules. We already understand why Conrad needed to learn responsibility, that was the main reason why he showed up in the first place, the second reason is because of Sally. Sally wasn't invited to Denise's birthday party and was confused about why she wasn't invited. It is simple why she wasn't invited it's because Sally is a killjoy. The Cat planed the entire invited knowing what was going to happen and how it was going to go down. He was even there to also protect the kids and Joan from Larry Quinn because he knew he was a bad person. Just like how Krampus goes out his way to teach a butch kids a lesson so does The Cat in The Hat. That's just a theory anyway.

This is the most entertaining video watched by me, of my entire life. The excruciating attention to detail and sickeningly exorbitant theorizing makes me feel like I am within a feverish dream. The most enjoyable part is the fact that I watched this horrific movie as a small child and it did, in fact, scar me.

I love how the the theorizer is able to talk about anything livht harted and make it sound dark without needing to change the story or add or remove anything and ensted just changes how he describes it.
Side note I would want theorizer to make a theory or a video on something Dr Suess but he has to ryme the hole time. Maybe he could do it for a video on the *thicc* plot series were even if the comments dont ryme he needs to make it ryme while he is reading it somehow?
