I was challenged to use every single DLC and CCP Content Creator Pack for Cities: Skylines in just one city AND to do this while playing the game for 24 hours straight, making sure to reach the final Megalopolis milestone.
So I loaded up my vanilla Cities: Skylines, made sure I turned off the Steam Workshop entirely, and sat down on my quest to prove that it's not impossible to use every single DLC in Cities: Skylines in one city.
But I was sabotaged. Watch the full video to find out the consequences of my actions!

10:30 that layout is called a bastion fort, it’s very common in many older cities in europe and especially the netherlands, as it is the country with the most bastion forts in the world. period. that while also being a very small country, so just look at cities like Utrecht, Amsterdam, Woerden, Leeuwarden, etc etc. they all have canals in this layout
Just a question as I've owned the game for sometime, But only really got into it over the last few months.
My question is how long dose it normally take mod makers to update the mods after a update as I can't open my current map till that happens.
But grateful for feedback since I'm new to this.
@@Ricky-nq7lu The creators of the most popular mods get the updates ahead of time to be able to update their side ASAP, but usually there's still a small delay. In general you should be okay as early as today though!

also the game in the future can have more than one dlc that is exclusively maps then by that it whuld be physicaly imposible unless there whuld be a way to mix maps

@@ToadieZzzeah I agree with this statement, if you must choose a map though, any snow map custom or dlc with a good mix of building space and natural resources(oil, coal, etc) will be the best as the snow maps are a map climate exclusive to dlc. But this is still a win regardless
The train station you showed for the train stations dlc is from Plazas and Promenades, now you have to do the whole video all over again

I did also put down a metro station somewhere that is *definitely* from the Stations CCP, I swear!
But who knows, maybe I'll have to redo the challenge after these new DLCs and CCPs that are coming release. 🙃

It’s funny cause right when you said you were using a map from the newest DLC I was thinking “well doesn’t that defeat the purpose of using every dlc? You’d have to use a map from the map pack!”

Yeah imo the maps from the Map Pack (both 1 and 2) are considerably better than the previous maps. Road placements and intersection variations have improved way much better. The roads are not as unrealistically jaggy and feels very monotone with the overuse of that vanilla Cloverleaf and T intersection as before.

Listing the release dates of all the DLCs has just made me realise how much the pandemic screwed with my sense of time. I pre-purchased Green Cities but I swear it wasn't that many years ago 😨

The rule was that she'd use every DLC in one session, wasn't it? What's stopping her from simply making one city on one map, then starting over on another map to build another city? Heck, it doesn't even have to be a large city. Just opening the map while playing should suffice.

Because I definitely remember clearly that the game has some real European football club stadiums back then when I was still using the cracked version of C:S (2017-2019, and then finally bought the game in 2020).
Any info on the "why" that DLC was removed? Is it related to UEFA licenses?
@@hadifelani most likely license expired, yeah. Happens left and right, the "present" for 10 year anniversary of GTA IV was half of radios removed from game.

Nicely done! I have a map that I use just to pop the achievements in Cities Skylines named Achievement Town and it has all the main DLC, none of the content creator packs, which I'm sure they can all be squeezed in. So if you were told it can't be done? Heck yes it can ^_^ BTW first time finding your channel and this was fun to watch.
Thanks so much! I do hear all of these DLCs as an arguement for 9 tiles not being enough, so this came to mind.
Next time I think I'll try to get all the 'main' DLCs to max level. : )

There is actually a theme park like the cliff one in the uk. it has a rollercoaster called Cliffhanger that hangs over the edge, but they have to keep moving the park backwards due to parts falling in lol.

I love the effort into showing us what was what from the packs considering I have no clue about this game.
The youtube algorithm is a weird beast. but every now and then you get sent to a quality creator and you cant complain.

Lmao my laptop won't let me use more than 5 dlc without the game crashing every 10 mins. The fact your game was playable is AMAZING to me.
I cant wait to get a new CS with better graphics, less memory usage, and better A.I. among many more wishes, instead of just dlc's. That's why I havent personally played it in about 1 to 2 years but instead watch other's on youtube play which is enjoyable. I like the mods and modders but it can be daunting sometimes at least for me working with the mods. I get that mods are not essential but at the same time it kinda is because a lot of the mods are needed to play the game the way you want. Plus I can't see myself spending over $100 on a 7 year old game's dlc packs especially the radio stations. That's just me personally dont @ me lol
Honestly, I totally get this opinion! If I weren't playing the game *so* much for videos and streams I would likely be waiting for C:S 2 or some steep sales on the DLCs.

Ah... I was sort of on the right track but was thinking map specific mechanics from the second DLC. This while forgetting that DLC also introduced trams.

Sooo - the moment a second pure map-pack arrives this challenge would be impossible by definition? Nah. I don't think so. I wouldn't consider map packs generally in this kind of challenges. As long as you put assets from every DLC on the map you are golden.
The city still looks pretty nice.
There's a second map pack coming in December and I still want to try to do it "right". Stay tuned, and thank you. : )

Good job! Next time how about upping the ante and using just about every single feature of every DLC. I mean, probably not every content created train station, but I was expecting every mode of transport for example. Needs to be a snow map for snow dumps and heating etc.

actually the map pack also came with those news trees in it so you just had to use those trees and wouldve counted!!
The trees are part of the free update that was released at the same time - they're not tied to the maps CCP. : )

I thought your mistake was having disasters turned on. I mean, you didn't use everything from every DLC, so you could have had disasters turned off.
I never thought about the map. Soon it will be more impossible, as on 2022-12-13 there is supposed to be "Map Pack 2" released.
Yeah, the goal was to use *something* from every DLC so you're right, I could have turned random disasters off and just built the shelters. But I guess that just felt like cheating?
And yeah! How is it going to work next time having two map packs?! I think I'll have to make a custom map merging half of one from each with the other. 😅😅 We'll see!
@@ToadieZzz Wouldn't need to build shelters. There's the police, fire, and medical helicopters that are even useful. My favorite parts of ND. (That and Earthquake Sensor for jumping power.)
@@ToadieZzz Alternately, build everything first and then turn disasters on as you finish
@@BJGvideos Or just turn the disaster rate way down to the lowest setting. In my cities, there's an occasional sinkhole or comet falling from the sky, but it happens like once in every ten hours of play, so I tolerate it.
Alternatively, the disasters can be summoned manually. You can use the "building collapse" disaster as an exploit to empty landfills, for instance.

I love like 90% of the DLCs for this game. The radio packs are ehh, but like most of the packs that add new content to the gameplay are bangers.
I can't even use like 8 DLC's without my computer crashing
Holy hell, how many DLCs have they added to the game? I bought CS few days after its release and I played it pretty much every day until they released the 2nd/3rd DLC. Did not expect to see that many DLCs. Ok not really. I fully expected it because it's Paradox.

@4:17 i have stadiums DLC and other than some cool stadiums you aren’t missing much, they all function like normal stadium and all have different teams like Juventus stadium have Juventus FC that’s it and you get wave pf happiness after the team wins. 🤷🏻♂️

Only DLC I regret buying is Campus. Not worth the money and their "paint an area" implementation is not very appropriate. Didn't buy Airports or Plazas and Promenades for same reason

You can't use a Map Pack in-game, the most you can do is use it's trees for decoration.
The trees came with a free update and aren't tied to the map pack!

I would count it as a success. Mostly because the Map Pack is enough of an exception for having no buildings that I wouldn't count it.

I play on console, and Universities kind of sucks due to it taking up too much real estate. That's the reason I won't be getting Airports.
I totally get it and everyone gets their opinion, but know that what I did in this video can 100% be done on console too. Vanilla PC is the same as console. : )
It sucks because I would love to have different cities in my map with different transportation and highways connecting to them, but you can't since restricted to 9 tiles sadly.
