Marriage the union, not marriage the ceremony. Marriage the union used to be specifically for the purposes of clarifying who was having children with who. Gay people can't have children so yes it's a bit unnatural. Now apparently the idea is that you just get married to anyone "you love." Which is just confusing and dumb, and actually meaningless. Why someone you love? Can it be your mom? Brother? Grandpa? Does it only have to be one person you love? Can you only love one person? How do you determine which person you can or can't marry if you have to love them?
Or instead, do you plan on having a children together, just the two of you? Then it makes sense to get married. Of course there are exceptions to the rules but exceptions don't define things. Majority does.

As a Christian, I feel the need to express that Biblically we are called to be loving, and not force our personal morals on non-Christians, but rather hold each other to those standards. If you or a friend have faced discrimination from a proclaimed Christ-follower because of your sexual preference, then I apologize on their behalf.
As a side note, I don’t get why everyone cares about sexuality to such a degree. Like, I don’t care who you want to get naked with in bed.

The church has never been, nor ever will, be free from sinful motives and horrible mistakes until Jesus returns (which probably sounds pretty corny). Especially during the age of Exploration, the Catholic doctrine of “ministering to the savage” was an absolutely horrible way to view fellow people. I agree that many lives were needlessly lost. What’s more, the attempts at mission actually had the opposite effect.
I believe in a God that loves everyone equally, no matter what their personal struggle is. I find it extremely sad that that Scriptural belief isn’t shared by many who claim to be “Christian”, based on the horrid ways they treat others.
as a Roman Catholic, I wholeheartedly agree. It's such a shame that the several bad eggs have given a bad name to religious people. Ironic when you realize that there's a lot of parallels between the people that thrust religion upon everyone and the people that crucified Christ isn't it?
