In October 1987 after many months on the road, it was in the elevated surroundings of the hillside open-air theatre at Lycabettus overlooking Athens, that the "So" tour came to a climactic close. The three nights were filmed in what was the first-ever Peter Gabriel concert to be committed to film. As a concert film, it was brilliantly shot and has now been equally brilliantly remastered, a crystal-clear record of Gabriel and band in their mid-80s pomp. The viewer is placed right in the heart of the action all the way, from the band's synchronised choreography on opening number "This Is The Picture", right through to the skin-pricking closer "Biko". In between, we're lost in music, spellbound by the spectacle, totally absorbed by the imperfection-free tightness of a band that's been on the road for so long.

He's on the top height as a singer and musician, the band world class and in top-form, all of them. To me the entire concert is one of the best ever performances.

You are wrong - I was there, and there was no lip-syncing! It was just a perfect concert. If you play it side-by-side the studio recording, you will see it is not exactly the same.
It’s a pre- recorded live version . He’s not lip syncing to the studio version .
@@AALavdas After b miller said it: Mr. Gabriel could have separately overdubbed it after the concert. I saw 3 or 4 tiny inconsistencies with the mic movements.

People saying it's over dubbed. Maybe some stuff. But the little drum fill at 1:39 happened on the spot because the guitarist and piano player smile right after he does it. this happens when someone does something special during a groove.
Got to love the 80s old school computer screen on the keyboard probably running on DOS and taking floppy disks lol.. Very early midi I guess. Had one similar in my high school band in the 90s that was ancient then we ran midi on. It's crazy how far technology has come in such a short time.
It's not playback. I just think the audio was replaced in some parts. It's a common thing with 80s live footage were some of the quality of the vocals aren't up to stratch so they take it from the CD or some other recordings when mixing it

Proggy Dan it’s live but maybe not from that performance. Audio from a different concert may have been added. But that is PG singing live. Another hint is the orchestral backing.

Was at his Tour this year, great. But when I watch this, I have the feeling like it would be lip sync?! What ever they did, they did it not good caus it doesnt looks live at all for me.
