Peter Gabriel is a legitimate genius. The quality of the whole band, plus his choreography, and the deep meaning of his music is almost unparalleled. He is a extremely talented in several ways.
@Suq Madiq First of all, he had to come up with the choreography himself and he is singing live. It's very impressive. His timing and cleverness is excellent. Think what you want.
@@TomWatsonB1 You must understand that no one necessarily saying Gabriel is lacking for talent. The production quality here is excellent and he is unquestionably a great performer. However, the lyrics to this throwaway track are absurd, and to elaborately mime the movements of a primate without a hint of irony? He comes off looking like a member of The Wiggles. Now you may very well be The Wiggles' biggest fan, so I'm sorry if that critique hits a little too close to home; but the only way Gabriel could redeem this very dated part of his catalogue would be to say that he and the band put it together while in the midst of a week-long cocaine binge and that the dance moves were an elaborate tongue-in-cheek test to see whether those lacking in taste (that'd be you) would actually accept it unflinchingly.
He is fantastic, not just technically, but in his creativity with the instrument. I discovered 1980s King Crimson this year, and have been blown a way.
He occupies a wonderfully weird stage presence about halfway between a traditional rock frontman, and a more pop-style choreographed show. Very unique performer
