Thanks for informing viewers about Tir Tir bribing influencers to a ridiculous level. It is very important that beauty consumers are aware of industry practices. More content like that please.
Tirtir unfortunately isn’t the only brand doing that. You’d be surprised to learn what brands pay and gift their highest selling influencers. Korean and Chinese companies do the most

Thank you so much for your thoughts and kind comments! I try not to get too preachy because everyone may think differently than I do but things like this just really disappoint me. What worries me is for those out there that don't even know this is going on and take "influencers" review as the truth or the facts without knowing what goes on behind the scenes. At this point I shouldn't even be surprised anymore, but I still am regardless.
@@NOBSBeauty There's another good point you just made. A lot of people take the word of these 'influencers' as the gospel. These poor people are out there spending their hard earned money on garbage. This isn't always the case of course. But 'we' trust the people we're watching, that's why we value their opinions. If they say it's a good product then it has to be! Then we spend our 50 bux only to be disappointed. But we're there with money in hand for the next best thing 🙄

yup i saw that on reddit too.. they gave it to mikayla out of all the people, the most sell out/fake tiktok creator. its deffo very weird and puts a sour taste in my mouth. ew.

Things like this just seem so unfair, especially for the average person watching reviews who have no idea they have been giving thousands of dollars worth of stuff away to reviewers. Seems very disingenuous to me but everyone has their right to "vote" for what brands they support with their money.

I love the sound of this toner! Good ingredients list- agree it could be better but I think it stands out still with some of those ingredients ( had a look on yestyle) !

I‘m always turned off by brands with huuuge marketing budgets like when they gift designer bags or regularly take influencers on fancy vacations. It makes me wonder if they are putting less budget into R&D and quality formulas/ingredients

I received my Joseon milk toner today. I hope it works well for me. 🤞🏼I have dry mature skin. Also,I almost order the new mask, but I’ll wait to hear your thoughts on the new mask.
You are right about Tirtir ....BUT i adore every product i have bought. That milk skin is AMAZING. On the other hand BOJ is more average compared to tirtir .At least to my skin......

Great video Sarah. I have seen 2-3 reviews on TitTir cushion foundation and how great it is, but when researching thru products, something turned me off about them, now I know. Would YOU PLEASE DO A VIDEO ON CABBAGE EXTRACT IN SKINCARE? I follow a Korean young lady that really raves about the many benefits of Cabbage. I too have such dry skin. I exfoliate my body, face, yet still so dry. Even with chemical exfoliation and glycolic lotion on my body. Grrrr, it is what it is. I must say, my skin isn’t as dry and dehydrated as it once was, due to great skincare I’ve been using. Please, don’t ever apologize for letting us know about a brand etc. I know I appreciate it. Definitely will have to do some reading up on cabbage, looks like it has some great antioxidant and skin protecting abilities for skin and I've got some goodies with it in there!

I agree that there’s nothing that special about the toner. The real show today was Lincoln lol. He’s so funny that he likes to drink out of the bathtub. Love your videos they’re very informative.

Thank you for sharing the shady practice from tirtir. Now I know why their tirtir cushion foundation got so much hype. I bought into the hype and tho it's not a bad product, but it oxidizes so much seems to reveal their technology is still behind other cushion foundation. So even when they offer so many shades, but the oxidation causes the shade to go 2 shade darker (and turns orange) is not acceptable. And now i know they give expensive gifts to influencer, the hype must be generated from the same influencers.
It's so disheartening for brands to do things like this. It really disappoints me to see practices like this become more and more common. Never giving them more money unless something drastic changes. Makes me wonder how many other brands are doing things like this.
Missha is OG for cushion foundations and they have never oxidized on me.

Definitely will keep testing this one out! So far I like it. My thoughts about the gifts and things like that always come back to things like lobbying and politics. Lobbyists used to often (and probably still do) donate money and gifts to certain politicians usually to get them to vote a certain way. So I equate this to the same thing. Lobbyist groups don't donate to politician to NOT get them to vote for what their interest is...
Also just saw an article about fancy perfume brands (L’Oreal, Lauder etc)encouraging child labor in the picking of jasmine and other ingredients. SO hard to be sure that where you spend your money isn’t financing horrible things.
You bring up an interesting point. It's almost a full time job trying to support ethical brands and ones that use ethically sourced ingredients these days.
I’m From rice toner did nothing for me. But I am dryer now so maybe it would be better. I want to try the Mary &May idebenone toner. Heard good things about it. I have used the Laniege one but it’s pricier than what I want to spend.
What did u say was your fav hand cream?
TirTir made my no by list after I heard about the purse, but I was already not feeling it when I saw influencers my age talk about how the cushion foundation settles in lines and breaks up too easily.
I’m From burns my eyes and the HaruHaru one made my skin sensitive after a few days. I do like rice products in sunscreen (HaruHaru airy) and moisturizer (CosRX overnight) though so maybe toners are just not my jam
Some skin just reacts totally differently than others and probably depends on the product too. Some toners also have long ingredients lists. The Isntree Comfortable Magnesium Toner might be worth checking out, it's pretty friendly for sensitive skin. I've tried a few cushions but still haven't found one that doesn't settle into fine lines or accentuate texture.
Is this better than the ordinary's new saccharomyces toner.

I'm a little disappointed that BOJ chose rice for their milky toner, apparently there isn't already enough milky rice toners out there 😂 I like the fact that they added kaolin to it though!
It's certainly a little different than the other rice toners because of the kaolin it doesn't end up looking shiny like the others.
would love to know how milky / thick this one is compared to the i'm from toner - I like the texture of that one but it has too much niacinamide and makes my skin tingle 😩

Will have to do a video all about Ike, boy it just seems like if something is going to happen it's gonna go happen to him. Hip disaplasia, mouth cancer, arthritis and now and shoulder dislocation is what it sounds like is going on. I'm going to put the X-rays in the newsletter because it's so fascinating to me. It's funny I have no idea how to say Hermes and I just figured I'd never buy one either way. Even if I had the money I just don't think I could feel good about spending 100k plus on a purse. I'd rather save it or help out friends and family. Plus I'd be too stressed out about wrecking it or getting it stolen or something. 😂

@@barbowens8626 You are correct. I’d forgotten. I lived in Newport Beach for some years and so many ladies were buying them so I heard that word way too often. Way beyond my budget but I’m with Sarah; I’d never spend that much on a bag even if I had the discretionary income; I’d open an animal sanctuary instead. The idea of a crocodile skin bag for its “prestige” is just sickening to me. I try to buy vegan when I can which definitely helped with what was a short term higher end handbag addiction back in the day. But then high end handbags & dog rescue don’t really mix & dogs are my 🩷.
The wash off mask looks amazing, I might have to buy it. Even though I decided last week I would stick to sheet masks as I haven't had much success with wash off masks 😅

I don't waste my time watching dishonest people. Look at his older videos then watch him now lol He's as fake as they come and I wouldn't trust one word he says. People need to understand these influencers get paid to promote products so of course everything is going to be amazing lol I look at the ingredients and I read reviews from normal people like you and I who paid with our hard earned money. That's where the honesty is at.

Purito Oat toner is fantastic, Instree Yam Root toner is a dream, Laneige Cream Skin has been reformulated, it's pretty good.
I've never been interested with TirTir. Their products seem so meh lol nothing special imo. The I'm From Rice Toner didn't work for me. Not sure if I even want to try the BOJ. I'm happy with the toners I'm using.
i want to do the same of not trying out new toners 🥲🥲🥲but all the toners i like are either refoemulated or not available anymore ,how is this possible 😰keep cool , laneige cream skin, klairs hydrating big one ,a few of our country local brands too 😢

For these toners, would you think it would be okay to put it in a spray bottle? I personally like watery toners in a spray bottle. For thicker/viscous ones, of course I'd have to use my hands to pat it in since spray bottle wouldn't work for that.
the kaolin probably wouldntt be good in a srpay bottle it will clog it up
The red tirtir cushion foundation that it's been hyped sounds light a nightmare for my very dry skin, i saw some reviews that i trust and it will emphasize any dry patch and it will feel super cakey. Also i hate high coverage foundations, i spent a lot of time and money into my skincare to show my skin (i'm joking) but i feel that a high coverage product it's only flattering in some few skin types.
Also the velvety and transfer proof claim sounds horrible for my skin. So big no no

Can you use Tretinoin, Alpha Arbutin, Tranexamic acid in the same routine at night please?
It depends on how sensitive your skin is, but I don't see any reason you couldn't use them together. I would probably apply the tranexamic acid product first and the tretinoin towards the end or before your moisturizer step. These three ingredients should help with brightening your skin up and also help with texture issues.
Is it watery? Goodal Rice Toner has consistency like PKY essence which I love.

It is on the watery side compared to other toners. I think applying this with a cotton pad or washcloth will be the easiest way to go, patting it onto skin might get pretty messy but I'll keep playing with it.
@@NOBSBeauty Maybe try Goodal Rice Toner and see how it compares. The only watery toner that I had first good vibes with is Skin1004 Probio or Isntree Yam Root.
After I heard about this Birkin gifts, I'm sorry that I spend my money on their products. I can't return them anymore, so I will use them up, but I'm not buying anything from them anymore. What I dislike the most is bragging and showing gifts on social media. One brand gifted the same person a cartier earrings, another paid her a trip to Korea
I just can't get over this without the need to rant to everyone about this. These influencers should sell these bags and donate the money to a good cause. I'm just so disgusted with this. There's so many people that are struggling in the world right now I just don't get it.

Doctors receive incentives from pharmaceuticals as well, things like vacation packages to exotic locations, spas etc. in exchange of prescribing and promoting their meds to their patients. Sooo 🥴

Tirtir is very thick and sticky for my combination skin. Rice toner also did nothing.
The fact that a purse is worth more than a house is itself so offensive to me. And the people who but them are the people who complain about the homeless situation.
Isn't it crazy - looking online there's tons of purses that cost more than my entire house! I just wonder how much good could be done with that money instead of just having it sitting in your closet or hanging on your arm... It's a really crazy concept to grasp.

Tir Tir gave Mikya Makeup the crazy chic from TikTok they gave her a Berkin Bag, I think I sent u the message the other day . Makes me sick really they could freaken give it to animals children that need it not Rick tik tok liars . Makes me have thoughts about the brand for real and not good thoughts. The only thing that intrigued me was the peptides in the toner now I'm not bothering. Their are so many other toners to try besides Tir Tir and I got the Kaine Kombu toner and love that one reminds me of the effect u get from Amorapacifica green tea toner , I actually thought about buying the full size till I got this Kaine toner . Excited to hear thoughts about the BOJ new toner . I saw their ginsing toner and a bunch of their products along with a ton of K beauty and other good brands at Marshals the other day even the K18 hair treatment and oil .
I don't care if they give away somthing nice.... Judging someone's authenticity, just because they were given a gift. I mean, I think judging someone's just as bad.... You don't know their intentions, and if they're a liar, that means they've always been one...
Very good point- everyone will have different thoughts on this and that is what makes the skincare industry so interesting to me. Everything is very unique from the products to the people to the skin.

The pricey gifts to influencers seems like bribery. Taking the gifts shows a lack of character. Letting the gifts influence reviews destroys the influencer’s credibility. It seems that some influencers feel obligated to give a good review for products sent to them in PR when it’s clear that they’re not impressed. I’d rather have honest reviews like those you do.

What I don’t understand with this logic is this: just because a company gives you products for free to review doesn’t mean that you have to lie, or love it. Sure you will not be given free products again, but would you tho? If you genuinely love it, good for you, and if you don’t then you haven’t lost anything. I’m not against sponsoring, as back in the day this was the norm and completely normal. Suddenly it’s seen as evil it self. If you get promoted by a brand you love, trust I don’t see how that’s a bad thing? Also westerners especially Americans need to stop polluting the world with their culture wars. Korea isn’t America. A different culture, different mindset and values. This idea that the rest of the world needs to adhere to American values to be seen as human, equal and civilized which is nothing short of an imperialistic mindset and settler mentality… of course giving away products to influencers worth the cost of s Hermes or Birkin bag, is clearly too much to sway someone to love and protect their products. A brand that doesn’t need to buy popularity and approval says way more about a product if it’s good.
The Tir Tir thing makes sense. The initial level of marketing seemed normal, but when a brand is too saturated it comes across as a red flag to me.
I go with my intuition and not the trend. The circus is entertaining on some levels.

Lincoln is so funny - and patient! At some point last night he went into the bathroom waiting for water as I was sleeping. I woke up and he was in there just waiting for someone to turn the faucet on for him.... nevermind there is a water bowl about 20 feet away 😂 At least he doesn't expect Evian Water, lol!
