I believe BoJ has listed ingredients by the new laws, while I'm From toner that you have is still by the old law. Now brands must list everything in correct order so they can't just say 70% extract and not list what is in this extract in correct order. Like reformulated Purito centella serum, it actually has around 3% of centella while before it was 50% centella extract. If you ever get I'm From toner that is made in 2024 or later, rice probably won't be the first ingredient. I hope I explained this good, English is not my first language

Then you misunderstood… Your favorite k-beauty products aren’t being reformulated, they just have to disclose the real percentage of extracts now but it’s still gonna be the same.

I have oily skin and the BoJ has a soft matte finish on me, not tacky at all even with multiple layers. It also with long term use managed to be a great ally in oil control and texture.
I have mature, dry skin and I love I’m From.
I have dry skin and absolutely love the I'm From toner during all seasons. When it's cold or dry you can do two or three layers that moisturizes the skin without feeling greasy. Apparently, some people with dry skin has had problems with the Beauty of Joseon rice toner after prolonged use, maybe because of the kaolin ingredient.

@@Style_hy Yes, it has niacinamide which is a slightly brightening ingredient on its own, but this toner also creates a direct effect from the rice bran extract that "lights up" the skin and in my opinion hides redness nicely.
If you have stubborn hyperpigmentation issues it would not be sufficient though, that may require stronger doses of arbutin or tranexamic acid, or presciption niacinamide in a good amount.

@@JD-xd4syhave you tried the isntree yam root toner and the goodal rice milk toner? They all seem to be milky toners with rice as an ingredient that brightens and moisturise dry skin but they're cheaper than I'M FROM. I can't decide which one to try for the upcoming winter.
The big difference for me is the darn triethylhexanoin, which is also in the Dr Ceuracle. It's in a lot of creamy textured products, and my skin is extremely sensitive to it😬 They call it an emollient/perfuming ingredient 🤷♀️Have a beautiful weekend🌤💗
Everyone seems to like the I’m from. I tried it and it burned. Now I’m thinking I must have had a barrier issue at the time. I love both brands so now I’m thinking I’ve got to try them both again

The clay in boj seems to be holding on hydration and moisture a lot more than absorbing oil. Its very interesting.
For me is niacinamide. Nowadays niacinamide is in everything and I just don’t want to have more in one more step of my routine
Yep- Niacinamide is the newest skincare "darling" and it is in nearly every new product I review. I think more people may be sensitive to high amounts of it than I realized.

Currently, I am using Goodal and Thank you farmer rice milk toner. I prefer the Thank You Farmer toner. The texture is lovely and more moisturizing.

@@larvenachong3972 Thank You Farmer milk toner is more milky and moisturizing then Goodal milk toner. To be honest, o don’t really like Goodal milk toner because I found it tacky and not easy to be absorbed by my skin.
I’ve only ever tried two toners. One was Purito and one was I’m From Rice. I like both of them and I’m too nervous to try something new since I had such luck with both those products. I have reactive skin so it’s like a game of Russian Roulette with new skincare. Haha
I’m from irritates my skin. On the other hand every beauty of Joseon product I’ve had have been gentle enough for me including the boj rice serum 🤷🏻♀️

That Neogen High R Exosome Cream is such a steal- super affordable, great ingredients, wonderful anti-aging benefits, and layers so well with other products you cannot beat it! I've been testing out the Haruharu Phyto Cica Cream (will do my full review of it asap). I've played around with it for daytime and a little bit at nighttime- I'm going to have to try it as the last step like you mentioned. Right now I've been putting it after my tretinoin and before the Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream and the Cosrx Snail Cream- hope to have my review of that ready in the next couple of weeks. It is quite nice overall and I love the peptides they used in it.
Kaolin is not an ingredient I want in my skincare. Isn’t it an oil absorbing ingredient? I actually have to add oil to my face for it not to flake and peel on a daily basis. I really feel that the I’m From does help my skin retain a bit of moisture.
Yes- Kaolin is going to absorb oil, seems a little odd that they put it in a "hydrating" toner. I'm kind of at a loss as to why they would add that into their formula to be honest.
I bought a 3 bottle pack of the I'm From one because ppl raved about it so much but unfortunately it clogs my pores, so I haven't even finished the first bottle.
That is a bummer to hear- hopefully you have someone you can hand them down to so they don't go to total waste.

She spoke about TirTir several weeks back. You won't see her trying anything from that brand. TirTir was gifting Influencers luxury gifts so they basically bought/bribed their amazing reviews.
@@paulayarbrough6930 I watched another RUclips channel talk about this and how it’s possibly a cultural thing. Apparently in their culture, it’s important not to slight someone so a gift is a must, the more expensive the better. I’m not explaining it as well as Alice did, but it really made sense. It could just have been a different culture value from American/Western views.
@@GenXVictoria I'm sorry but if a brand gifted me not only a free product but also an extremely expensive gift... I'm pretty sure I'm gonna give them a great review. To each their own but I don't trust reviews from people who were gifted the product,.paid to promote the product or given expensive gifts to review the product. I trust the reviews from people like you and I who aren't influencers, people who actually spent their hard earn money. Those are the reviews I find to be honest.
Thank you all for chiming in with the facts. It was pretty disheartening to see a brand giving away 10,000$ and up purses and gifts. If the brand works and is something people still want to try that's great and go for it, but I do think people should be aware of what is going on before they make that decision. Nothing wrong with those who like them and use their products, it is hard enough to find something that works well!
@@NOBSBeauty if a product is great there's no reason to pay or give luxury gifts to get great reviews. I see it as a bribe. I don't know if people just believe all these influencers and RUclips dermatologist if so, they need to wake up. Their #1 priority is making money. There's this RUclips dermatologist that gets under my skin so bad. He's constantly recommended Olay as a great retinol product 🤦♀️ Then I see the comments of people buying it smh. It's obvious a lot of people don't do their own research and educate themselves on skincare. They'd rather take a clowns advice lol It's funny... when he shows videos of his office you'll see boxes and boxes of....all the products he's constantly recommending. People think he pays for that lol 😆

The I'm From Rice Toner stung my skin. I also didn't care for the way it felt on my skin. For some reason I don't wanna try the Beauty of Joseon. I'm happy with the toners I'm currently using and I'm using the Ginseng Water Essence which I really like.
It stung my skin too. But I know it's the niacinamide. Unfortunately The beauty of josan has hyaluronic acid which also stings my skin. So it's a no for both.
It stung my skin a couple of years ago when my moisture barrier was out of wack, but the sensation always disappeared after a short while and it never broke me out. Nowadays, it doesn't even sting at all.
@nyefayth8918 It was the Triethylhexanoin for me. I use niacinamide fine. But that frangrant/emollient. Stings my whole face. Like wildfire 🔥
@@paulayarbrough6930 Try the Tiam Vita B5! It's the BEST toner, ever! It makes any sticky serum go on like a dream. It's so cheap, I don't mind layering it💗💗

I don't understand the word/category at 9 minutes where it's mentioned that BOJ has Vitamin E but I'm From gets the point. Did someone hear/understand what that's about?
The word was acnegenic (able to cause acne), she mentioned that BOJ has vitamin e, which is an acnegenic ingredient so Im from wins the point for having no acnegenic ingredients. Hope this helps! :)
@funsizedhongp7574 is correct. Vitamin E can be acnegenic for some people and it is in the toner. Overall most people won't have any issue with the Vitamin E in it but some with really acne prone skin can have issues with it clogging pores.

No, I've been working on losing weight seriously for a couple years. Last fall started running again, cutting out sugar, and stopped drinking pop- honestly, I think the biggest thing there was to stop drinking pop because some days I would drink 3-4 bottles. Just terrible for so much sugar. The best thing is my blood pressure is finally back in normal range. Since 2021 I've lost about 60 pounds.
