I was lucky and thrilled to see Elton on his solo alone tour in 2002 ,in fact I didn't think I'd be going, as it was sold out for weeks! But I lucked into a Ticket , and even though it was just him and his piano ,it was more electric and exciting than a lot of concerts I'd seen before, and it was one hit after another ,as he played for about two hours with one encore ,but it was a show from one of the world's best ,that I will never forget.
Great song from a great album! Wonderfully performed, too, as usual. This song used to make me so sad about 15 years ago, but now as a 30-something I think I get Taupin more on this one. Who knows, such different lives we must've led.
