When that blue first went on I almost passed out….sooooo gooooood
Haha you and me both. From looking at lots of pictures glaciers etc are far more blue than I imagined but yeah definitely a leap of faith
Love it - I can nearly hear the ice cracking, while the ship is finding it‘s way through, carrying the fallen Viking on his last journey, as well as the crackle of the fire 🔥…
I love that it inspires a whole narrative and peaks your imagination. Thabks for watching
i love vikings and you totally nailed it! good work
Thanks, I was a really fun project to build and learned lots along the way.
Another fantastic build! Great job!
👍👍👍
impressive work on this Diorama!
Thanks appreciate it 🙏
My friend this is by far you best. I love it thanks for making this
That is really kind of you to say. Ended up being a much bigger project than I thought but lots of fun 👍
didnt see any video from u man for quite some time u didnt let me down tho
i am once more amazed by ur skill and talent keep up the good work brother
Thanks dude, I had to travel for work hence the gap in videos but now I'm back and full of enthusiasm and inspiration. Lots more to come soon
Mate you kick arse every time, respect 😉👌
🤘👍👍
Really enjoyed this build and the end result, slight note on authenticity...the oars should perhaps have been stowed as just sticking out with no oarsmen would hinder the boat’s movement.
Haha I know it shouldn't have the oars but I'd already built them into the model before I realised. We all make mistakes. Thanks for watching 👍
Ice and snow builds really show the skill of any maker. This one turned out marvelous as usual. I have to say it every time: you outdid yourself once again.
Cheers dude. Very kind of you to say. Had a ton of fun on this one.
Incredible 😊
👍👍
Snow effects are hard, but this dio turned out great
Thank you!! Yeah snow can be tricky. It was my first time trying it our and I learned so much in the process. Cheers for watching
Really good attention to detail, love it
Cheers Scott, thanks for stopping by!
That was beautiful, well done. It desperately calls out for some Bathory in the soundtrack though. RIP Quorthon.
A truly fantastic diorama, with enormous realism and evocative and inspiring power that transports us to remote times of ancient rites and customs. Congratulations on a job so well done. Go ahead with the channel. 👍😉
Thanks, very kind of you to say 👍
I was back to Skellige for a moment. Very impressed by all the effects you tried on water, even if you were not happy with everyones.
Well done !
I spent many an hour in Skellige too haha
Hey!!! My guy is back with new ideas! This is a spectacular diorama! I love the details and your explanation of how and why you use your materials. This is so awesome. I love it. Now, I’m torn between the bridge and this one. They are so great. Thank you for sharing.
Hey Ken glad you found it useful. Really appreciate your kind words 🙏
Good work 👍👍👍
Thank you 👍
Incredible and beautiful! I’m absolutely love this diorama!!!
Thank you, pleased you like it 👍👍
@@creativecuts7803 you are welcome 🤗
Once again you exceed expectations! If only you had mentioned that you were planning a Viking funeral, then you could have had our ship in addition to ice and snow too! ;-) Many greetings from Thommy (Ziterdes)
Hey Thommy, thanks again for everything. I dont know how much plan there was in this one. It kind of evolved. But I really enjoyed using the Noch products - and will definitely use again in the future.
You have absolutely captured in amazing detail the character of snow and ice, no small feat, this is film effect standard. I loved it.
Thank you so much. I really appreciate your kind words👍
Your voice is so satisfying!
I'm glad it works for you haha
Great project and video as always. The edges of the water look fantastic. I like how you made the floating/broken ice. Looks amazing.
Thanks Orland, really appreciate it 🙏. As is often the case with my builds, this was one huge experiment but I learned loads and am really happy with the result.
👏🏼👏🏼 epic!! Once again you have done a wonderful diorama, your snow and icicles look amazing. Great effects and as always a great video mate. 👍
Thanks dude really appreciate it 🙏
I love this build! @21:00 the smoke looks like a raven emerging from the fire, not sure if you meant to do that, if not a happy accident.
Haha thanks! Smoke can do some pretty amazing things, a very happy accident but not the first haha
This is honestly amazing, really appreciate the work you’ve put in to editing and sharing this with us. You’re an inspiration!
Thanks dude, you are very welcome. I'm glad you liked it. 👍
I love everything about this build! It's so atmospheric. You can feel the cold :D
Thank you glad you liked it
_Quite_ the thing, as always. Have you spent a lot of your life being cold? You really seem to have a grasp of the cold things :-}.
About the fire-the whole thing seems to end up blinking on and off as one piece, and is a bit less convincing than I hoped for when I saw that you had a cluster of distinct flickering LEDs. I guess the cotton wool is just too eager to catch the light from any direction? Not that I have any idea what would work better. It's an interesting problem.
Thanks for the injection of calm into my life again, too!
Cheers man, thanks for watching. I actually put each led on a separate switch so I can turn each light off individually. But I get what you mean. I'm still learning about basic electrics and haven't got as far as including resistors etc but the journey continues.
@@creativecuts7803 Well, there's fun to be had there! But I was thinking more about the optics-and I should say I have never done anything like that fire, but you got me thinking-what if some of the LEDs were sort of nested into the sides a little crumple of foil (carefully, because of the electricity ;) ) so the light wouldn't all head in the same direction, but also wouldn't be lost ? What if you used a bunch of fibres, hedgehog-wise, and had a lot of them end still inside the cotton wool?
Of course, a person could spend a life doing such experiments even without the peanut shouting “ooh, why don't you try this”, and to be *entirely* honest I can't wait to see your next project, which I'm sure will be entirely different :).
@@stephenspackman5573 mate, I really don't want you to think I take any offence at your comment. Its a fair point and I absolutely love your idea of reflecting the light etc. Its all food for the creative pot. Haha I like your way of thinking and next video dropping very soon. Tomorrow probably.
Great piece chap. The detail adds so much to the narrative. Amazing work! I'm just starting out and you've given me a lot to think about and try thank you
Thanks for watching and best of luck with your projects. Alwats happy to answer any questions if you get stuck.
@@creativecuts7803 appreciated dude. The flow of creativity definitely throws up questions from time to time. Great channel fella thanks
nice symbol man... CC reverse as a DC world!!
For a first time winter build that turned out very very nice. The LEDs add an extra touch to the diorama. I wonder if you could use hot glue to make icicles?
You can to an extent. I've tried to make them on baking paper so they don't stick, which works but leaves a flat side. That's ok if you can hide the flat side away from the viewer. The biggest thing I've found is that my glue doesn't dry clear so you end up with cloudy icicles. It might be possible though
Thanks man, really appreciate your feedback. Hot glue was an option but somehow not quite right for what I wanted.
The video was informative and very helpful in answering questions about creating the layers of styrofoam and how you incorporated the paster. I currently have a Dickens village which I use once a year and wanted to create a diorama to hold the houses with preset lights and concealed cords under the styrofoam. Would you recommend using plywood to reinforce the styrofoam? or could I do without it since the sections are smaller for storage? Thanks for sharing.
Thanks 👍
Sorry Got here right at the end, so not watching. I'll watch from the start . Already hit like anyway. Lol.
Cheers man, hope you enjoy!!
Hello sir, what is the sail made from? You really captured the majesty, nobility and honor of the subject. It evokes a theme of sacerdotal respect. The music is a wonderful background - it emotes the ethereal ending we all may meet. But until then, I'll see you next time friend. Great work
Hey Michael, good to see you! The sail is madde from plastic and was supplied with the kit. A little fiddley but it worked out nicely. I'm glad my attempt at reverence wasn't lost on you. Thanks for watching 👍
@@creativecuts7803 You are certainly welcome. I admire your style and approach to 'creation' with a heart. Can't wait until your next heartfelt endeavor. Thanks for sharing with us
