    I've been struggling w/ mental health issues, suicidal thoughts, etc... Dioramas and scale modeling is a new-found enjoyment. As I am still new, this helps me a-lot. Thank you very much

    What a great diorama, simple in design and layout but so full of details. Outstanding job

      Cheers Tom, I had a lot of requests on how to start. It's easy to forget the basics sometimes but rather than a guide type video, u thought it would be fun to build something with it

    I've been struggling to get back into my terrain building, and I want to say your message about imagination at the end really struck a cord with me. I've been watching so many tutorials trying to get my spark back, and the thing I'm currently making is basically exactly what I saw in a video, but I can't find it in me to care about it. And I think it's because it's not mine, I don't feel like I'm making something new, and ultimately that's what I actually enjoy about making terrain.

      Sometimes the best way is to just throw caution to the wind and dive in. Open your heart and your mind and let whatever pour out. Sure its great to watch videos to learn some techniques and get inspiration but it is most fun when you can feel proud, even surprised by what you have created. It is a road filled with frustration and self loathing but always worth it in the end. I hope you find your spark my friend 👍👍

    Loved the simplicity of this one, mate. Using the colours, before the resin, to give the sense of depth was a masterstroke. Good work

      Cheers dude. I tried to do something simple, something that anyone can do but also show how with a little technique and care - simple can still look great. Thanks for watching

    As always a great video worth waiting for. Not just technical things but philosophical things to inspire creativity. Everything here from the video to the music is perfect. Especially love the space and sci-fi theme. No one is as enjoyable to learn from as you. Eager for your next project.

    Yup I went and researched those sulphur pits - and you've done an amazing job of recreating that landscape. I thought, at first, the white texture paste was a bit on the heavy side but with a little yellow dry brush (i think it was?) the white became a salty crust that looked as brittle as the real thing! And the 'receeding into the depths' effect worked perfectly. The low level camera work really brought the scene to life too. Well done, but you've left me wondering the fate of those three poor scientists. . .

    • @creativecuts7803
      @creativecuts7803  2 года назад +3

      Thank you good sir. I was trying to play around with reflections in the pool - it kinda worked but in hindsight the reflection works better on a darker surface. Still very happy though.... and I have it on good authority that the science team made it back safely. 👍

      It reminds me a lot of the pools at Yosemite national park. They recently found a shoe in one of the pools. People just don't understand how dangerous the pools are. Remains of a foot were inside. The rest of the body was dissolved I guess. It's not your backyard hot tub

    How do you have such a small channel?! You have a welcoming instructional tone and demeanor and a smooth, respectful voice, such that I halfway expect you end every other sentence with, "Master Bruce." Love your channel, Alfred. I've subscribed and set up notifications!

      Thank you! The channel is growing and I realise I should maybe focus on one topic or theme rather than what I want to build but here's the fun in that. I do this as a hobby so it's difficult to compete with the full timers but I'm having fun and consistently surprise myself with where my builds take me. Appreciate your kind words and welcome... could you add pigments to the sculptamold ? so that if it where to chip the colour difference isn't to big from what the endresult you are going for

    • @Craftlngo
      @Craftlngo 2 года назад +1

      you can add anything that is water soluble, like Sculptamold itself.

    • @creativecuts7803
      @creativecuts7803  2 года назад +1

      Yes of course. Great idea. Only thing is will say is the colour will be desaturated due to the white plaster but you can add pretty much anything you like. Sand or small stones for a all in one solution.
