I love it, Vikings have always been my favorite groups for table top gaming followed by pirates. I just created from scratch both the "queens Ann revenge" and "royal fortune". I intend to make a full fleet of viking ships for my Viking series. Great work, keep the content coming.
5:31 A pictureframe from... IKEA!!! cant get more viking than that!! SKÅL FROM SWEDEN!!!! amazing work :D this set makes me wanna get into resinprinting :D
That's pretty much the best looking ice and snow I have seen. Luke just needs a helmet and he'd look pretty Viking-y anyway! So this is basically a self portrait. Nipping down the Calder into Wakey on a cold January morning in the family longship, to get some stuff from Sainsbury's.
Amazing work. Wish I had the time and the space do start doing it as well. Vikings are awesome. But so are ninjas, knights, pirates and robots! Oh, well... maybe one day.
I love your videos! Just sooo cool! What is that snow powder? Static grass snow alone doesn't sell it to me and I don't know where to buy that snow powder, because that is AWESOME!!!
This is quite useful to me since I'm planning to make a wintery diorama for my mom for yule. I've done some snow before but never in larger scale so the it never even occurred to me to paint stuff darker first etc.
Im new to painting mini's but damn that is a great tip to "under expose" the painting when doing snow scenes. That makes so much sense and looks fantastic!
in future for resin that you want to break, it might help to score the patterns you want then freeze the block before breaking. the freezing should help make it slightly more brittle and the score lines will guide the breaks so its less likely to just shatter like glass.
We used to use baking soda when we made our snow effect in model train building back in the day and lightly mist some water and pva glue in a small spray bottle. Nicely done love the hint of painting some of the areas darker. I've been holding onto an old Ral Partha mini of a viking on a snow sleigh being pulled by polar bears, called the Bear Chariot, that I've had for 25 yrs still in the original box. But I've never came up with my full diorama scenery. I know I wanted to do something with an icy river with sheets of ice in the river like beginning of the thaw next to them with some snow banks on the other side, but I cant come to a final decision exactly how I want it to look yet.
You did a great job on your diorama with snow .you said you would like to do more snow diorama how about a napoleon retreat from russia dirama I would like to see that or any snow diorama you do .I did learn a hole lot from your videos again great job on your diorama have a nice day be safe
@@GeekGamingScenics I was thinking the very same thing! I'm doing a collab right now and then I've a couple of dioramas to clear but I was thinking about reaching out to you too. I'll DM you.
Hi, What a fantastic job. A dream ! What is this orange resin you used for the printing. Everything went so smoothly togerther compered with what I've achieved... Please, let me know this fantastic resin
That looks so much better than any snow I've ever seen in wargaming. At WHW at the weekend and not a single flake looked vaguely realistic (not always what people are going for... which is absolutely fine). And is that a warlord necromancer hidden in there? 😲
YYEESSSSS!!!! awesome vid on building terrain/ diorama with brilliant tips and techniques....get back to more of this.... its what makes you so much better than the rest...maybe not better than Luke Towen and Paeper cuts.....but just as good 😉
always wanted to try the geek gaming stuff so thought I would have a look. the snow looks cool and not bad price oh shipping $65.00nzd... sometimes I hate living in NZ
Love it Luke! Nailed the snow and ice effects. That’ll be one for the shelf to be proud of.😍
Yeah, the.....ice shelf.... I'll leave now 🚪🚶♂️
Out done yourself mate

Jazza!
Heck, I was getting colder as the video went on.
Five stars Luke. 👍😀
Wooow, just stunning! It's so good to watch your view on The Ice Breaker, amazing work!
hopefully there'll be a few good action/battle poses, the ones I've seen so far all look a bit timid.
Can you still get those files from your site?
@@josemanuelaguero68 They’re there permanently - If you didn’t already know.
I don't say this very often Luke but as a fellow Swede....THAT IS BEAUTIFUL! Wow! So impressed! You nailed it! Lots of love from Sweden! 💙💛💙👍
Bears. Beets. Battlestar.
Nice chilled video. Great result. SNOW MONTH!
The funny thing is Loot Studios probably asked Luke to paint a model for them, Luke just paint something?, are you mad! creates full diorama.
I love it, Vikings have always been my favorite groups for table top gaming followed by pirates.

That looks fantastic. One of the best diorama's I've seen in a long time.
This is amazing, I love ice and snow when done right.
Holy moly this looks BEAUTIFUL!
Gorgeous, just gorgeous!
try using resin and UV flashlight instead of super glue for joining the pieces of the ships. Incredible diorama, thanks for the video!
I would still love a break down of your hot water dipping and ripping technique and how it compares to proper snipping/clipping, and cold ripping.
We miss you Luke! Would have loved to see you do a big board like this!
I did a commission a few years ago for a Battle of the Bulge army. The snow work was tons of fun.

Beautiful piece of Art mate. Nice.
this diorama is PHENOMENAL
Amazing diorama build! What are you dipping the 3D print in in the beginning?
ooooh, this is so good!!! :-)
I love your videos! Just sooo cool!
What is that snow powder? Static grass snow alone doesn't sell it to me and I don't know where to buy that snow powder, because that is AWESOME!!!
Nice work Luke - Love the cracked ice technique!
this looks fantastic, what type of snow powder did you use? i have a project i had been stumped on until seeing you video, thanks for the insight
The paint job on the ship was amazing

Absolutely brilliant. Such an awesome build and video great to watch. Nice work bud!
Looks absolutely lovely. And thanks for the good snow tips and tricks.
My favourite video you have made! Looks ace.
Awesome work. Learn a lot of it. Aldo have a question, where I can order the snow that you use in this video? Thanks
Wow, amazing snow effects, love it.
man this is so awesome i gotta get some of your base scenics
What was the spray you used before sprinkling on the snow powder?

This is a beautiful little diorama my man

Oh sh#t
I’ve never heard anyone consider exposure when mini painting. Super fascinating
