It really is poetic to see two people who played father and son, who've never actually met, connecting about their mutual experiences with their own demons. This is an honest, funny, bear-your-soul conversation and I'm super happy to see that both of you have come out on the other side and are able to laugh about it.
One of the best interviews with Eddie I've ever seen. Some really nice interesting questions I never seen anyone ask him before, and he was so confortable answering. Thank you for this. It was amazing
Thankfully Michael was really concerned about the situation with his acting teacher and really pressed about it. That whole thing is so messed up and to play out in the public basically, really sad and disgusting what she did to him
He’s such an open book when it comes to his journey. The fact that he’s alive and well today is a miracle. Eddie is a fine actor who deserves a true comeback in Hollywood with a script that showcases his talents. He still has a giant fan base waiting patiently for the industry to take note.
Biehn & Furlong two great American actors that have lend themselves to legendary and iconic movie characters that certainly have stood the test of time and will live forever, I feel these two fine men are not quite receiving the overall recognition and appreciation that they certainly and rightfully deserve. The respective movies they starred in have had a great and lasting impact on me and my personal live and development. 👍🏻🙏🏼 Godspeed two the both of them,
Michael Biehn was my favorite actor growing up-I’m a massive fan of Terminator and Aliens! I wasn’t as into The Abyss because he played the villain, but I’ve got to admit, his performance was next level. Honestly, I felt kind of robbed with The Rock-he deserved way more screen time. As a filmmaker, he’s always been my go-to pick for fantasy casting. On a personal level, I really relate to him, especially hearing about his struggles with alcoholism as I do and have battles with it. I actually met him once, and he was super cool! I thought he might brush off, but he was genuinely awesome. I could’ve talked to him for hours, but didn’t want to come off as too intense, So I didn't take too much of his time. Now that he’s got a podcast, I’m all in!
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this interview. Eddie is clearly a talented actor who deserves a big comeback. I am so grateful for his honesty and I am so happy to see how many people are supporting him. This interview is truly the best I have ever seen. Thank you, Michael.❤
Without a doubt, this was the best Edward Furlong interview ever. Very in depth, personal and honest. Mr. Biehn did a great job asking questions and props for acknowledging just how damn talented Furlong is. Instant sub.
These dudes are probably never going to read this but I just want to say that this was super inspiring and made my day in way that mattered. Thanks guys!
I'm not even famous... Life is tough. Childhood is not this faerie tale perfection we wish it was. We spend our adulthood trying to cope with the wounds we sustained in childhood. Yes, there are those who have coping skills, IOW, healthy habits. But it's obvious that most of us, myself included, have coped with physical and emotional pain by self medicating with harmful substances. I can't even imagine what fame is like, let alone being abused and betrayed while being in the spotlight. As a regular Joe Schmo from Bumfukt, USA, I've been abused, tortured, humiliated, but I'm a survivor. Furlong and Biehn inspire me because they, too, are survivors. I pray God bless them and keep them strong. He has a great work for them both.
I also had a childhood of abuse and I learned to tell myself what I was supposed to receive from my family. Tell myself what I wanted to hear and it feels Good. Hope you've healed as much as possible. A big hug from México city ❤
This interview was more mature and Really liked to me he has no secrets and didn't mind to Share his own experiences with a younger pal. I mean Michael has skeletons in the closet (like all of us) and simply he could asking Edward about his life but he decided to be honest and put in his skin and say "I was there too, with another sustance but equally dangerous too" and when you start than kind of deep interview and say on the Begining your experience and Open you to the guest and the audience .... wow what a kind of brave!!! I take my hat off to you. I followed Edward when he was young Before the abyss and really he was that kind of actor born to do this. He had everthing. And lost it. But really to have a person comprensive in your life who support you in the worst moments is the difference. And I love the part Michael said all his life was around for people whe love him, and that is the most important thing. Awesome interview. I can't wait to meet you in FAN EXPO the next month!! You are a Great and wise person. Thanks sooooo much
it makes me so happy to see michael doing a podcast, I've followed his fantastic wife (jen) for most of his updates but now seeing him do things all in the moment, love it.
Michael, thank you for this! Being blessed to hear from you and Furlong, is truly a gift. Love your work, actors that will be remembered for their humanity and prowess in the craft.
Jesus. The story about his on-set teacher was insane and disturbing. I’d never heard that before. So glad he got away from that and is doing better today. Love the guy.
Not a lot of people did but apparently it was well known to people that worked with him and there were legal cases taken against her? Almost like it was covered up to protect the negligence and sickness of Hollywood. Really glad he was asked about it so props to Michael Biehn who’s not only a great actor but someone with genuine concern for the guy
2 episodes in and Beihn is telling me more things that make me love the guy even more. First episode, he says George Carlin is one of his favorite comedians (my favorite), and now he says how much he loves Taxi Driver, which for a while, was one of my favorite movies and still love it to this day.
Awesome podcast Michael! I'd love to see you interview more former co-stars & alumni from the franchises you've been a part of. Hoping for Robert Patrick (T2), Jeff Fahey (Planet Terror) & Jeanette Goldstein (Aliens) in the future.
Randomly found this via youtube suddenly. And lot to catch up to. Obviously checking this and the intro first. Maybe not the most "professional" (rehearsed) podcast quoting the same phrases or pushing shady products, but its genuine, real and with heart. Really glad Edward is doing better and hope it continues to get better with success in life and work as well as family. Watching Biehn's interviews with Rosenbaum made me want to listen to him more and these feel like they will be interesting conversations to follow.
I was dying to see him when I was a kid in a little town called Senneville located on the west end of Montreal. I think it was his grandfather who was with the crew and was telling stories to all the kids while Ed was doing scenes somewhere in the woods for Pet Cemetery.
What a great interview. Great to finally hear Eddie give his own side of the story, in his own words, about what happened in his teen years. I loved Biehn's and Furlong's interviews with Michael Rosenbaum on Inside of You, but you can't beat getting the two together one on one.
Admire you both for the honesty as you shared your past experiences. Michael is respectful and compassionate in asking key questions that helped illuminate what both he and Eddie encountered along their way within the industry as well as their personal lives. Am wondering who all will be guesting in the future as we're impressed with how Michael's hosting is already of high quality. Thank you Eddie and Michael, Jim and Caelan.
Michael, Sir, one of my acting idols (Because Kyle Reese was my idol. He was fearless as hell, loyal to death and gave his own life to the love of his life. The woman who raised his idol/and son lol
I had the BIGGEST crush on EF when i was 12-13. Actually met him when he was with Jackie, she didnt want me and my sister getting close to him. My little heart was broken and to this day it still makes me sad that he was in her grips. 😔
As a kid growing up in the 90's Edward Furlong as John Connor was the coolest role model for my generation! This kid that listens to Guns N Roses and can hack ATM's and had this I don't give a fuck attitude... so fucking cool! It's a shame he struggled in his teens and early 20's. Feel for the guy!
I'm glad both of these guys are still with us chatting about life, even though both of them pushed their bodies to the very limits. Two James Cameron veterans just shooting the shit. No politics, no opinions, just great stories.
With all the different Terminator movie timelines and time travel you could easily do a Terminator 7 with all these actors!! Michael Biehn! Arnold Schwarzenegger! Edward Furlong! Linda Hamilton! Robert Patrick! Kristanna Loken! Claire Danes! Lance Henriksen! Janette Goldstein! Danny Cooksey! James Paxton!
Man, loved meeting and talking with you guys and Linda Hamilton (such a sweetheart) at FanX Salt Lake City last weekend! This is a great Podcast, Just subscribed! Hope you will all be back at FanX in 2025!
I didn't know another podcast was needed, but now I do. I've watched these two talk a bunch of times before, and first talk is with Michael's lover Doug Stanhope. Yay!
I’m just going to say it. Love Michael, he’s a fabulous actor, but he needs assistance doing interviews in the future. He was too jump throat and interrupted Eddie a lot. The beginning of this episode was frustrating. Maybe have someone help him with this as this is a great concept as him doing podcasts. Best wishes
Just discovered you have a podcast Michael. This was a great conversation. I'd love to see Lance Henrikson on the show. From a long time fan in Australia.
John Connor: Wish I could've met my real dad. Uncle Bob Terminator: You will. John Connor: Yeah, I guess. When I'm, like 45, I think. Off by 2 years is pretty close!
Damn, Kyle Reese getting to meet his son John Connor in another universe!
This is really real OMG!!! 😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲
That was my first thought as well! I wonder if he calls Michael "Dad" at some point? I gotta watch now!
this is amazeballs
It's his son and best friend but the wrong way round lol.
It really is poetic to see two people who played father and son, who've never actually met, connecting about their mutual experiences with their own demons. This is an honest, funny, bear-your-soul conversation and I'm super happy to see that both of you have come out on the other side and are able to laugh about it.
Furlong has so many fans, really hope to see him back on top he really deserves it
Man no one was around to protect Edward in his young formative days. Really sad. Glad he is doing good. Keep moving forward, the both of you.
You’re right.
the host was a bit creepy with some of his questions. too prying and inappropriate.
The host? Thats fuckin Kyle Reese
I am so here for the Edward Furlong renaissance. I will see and support EVERYTHING he’s in. Time for Brainscan 2!!
Brainscan is awesome.
Im happy Pet Cemetery 2 is finally being mentioned
Damn man, when he said, "having fun became less important and just hoarding the drugs and doing it alone became important" I felt that.
One of the best interviews with Eddie I've ever seen. Some really nice interesting questions I never seen anyone ask him before, and he was so confortable answering. Thank you for this. It was amazing

Fuckin A he deserves all the success he raw talent and one of the realest in the industry seems like
He'll come back when he's ready, you can definitely see he stil has a lot to give and he genuinely enjoys the work.
Biehn & Furlong

He was great in Tombstone, Navy Seals and Lords of Discipline too.

Edward furlong : the perfect ultimate guest for the Michael Biehn podcast. Edward Furlong’s emotional acting 🎭 is the heart and soul of Terminator 2 .
Seeing these 2 together is fantastic! I grew up loving their movies and, at some point, had a crush on both of them!
Thank you for sharing this.
🌹👏🌹
Really appreciate Michael's informed questions and giving Furlong time to answer!
LOVVVVVVVE Brainscan!!! That movie is phenomenal!
It's free on youtube
Me too
I love it too and not sure if Michael even tried watching it!
Edward would’ve become a superstar if things had went a little differently. I’m so glad he’s clean now.
These dudes are probably never going to read this but I just want to say that this was super inspiring and made my day in way that mattered. Thanks guys!
28:50 hilarious that you left that in. Hey Dad, can I take a piss real quick!

Great interview, Micheal. I'm looking forward to more of your interviews

What a remarkable story! I had no idea he has gone through all the stuff he's gone through. I was so glad to hear this. Great interview!

Chick was probably infatuated by the Hollywood persona not really Eddie.

That's what I like to see. John Connor and Reese having a father son heart to heart.
Great interview, really enjoyed it. Both are legends so the back and forth was incredible to listen to. Love how frank Michael is with the questions.
Love seeing these 2 legends reminisce
like father like son
I really hope that James Cameron will definitely invite his classic cast of actors who worked with him in the past to his future Avatar movies...
Edward Furlong is awesome. Kudos my friend.
Was awesome in the Boondocks Saints
@@earljr9026he's not in boondock saints

Met Eddie at Manchester comic con last month, he's an awesome chap so laid back n chilled 👍hope I get to meet Michael there one day
I watch these pod casts, but I think Michael has one of the best.
Really great and honest discussion. And how ironic that the guy who played John Connor also never met his father in real life.
Truee
Maybe his father is a robot from the future
fantastic podcast, it's great to see michael & eddy havin a good time just talking about everything, great work! :D

Watching Biehn's interviews with Rosenbaum made me want to listen to him more and these feel like they will be interesting conversations to follow.
T2 was good. American history x was awesome. Eddie is actually a skilled actor. So much innocence and so much heart in his performances.
I was dying to see him when I was a kid in a little town called Senneville located on the west end of Montreal. I think it was his grandfather who was with the crew and was telling stories to all the kids while Ed was doing scenes somewhere in the woods for Pet Cemetery.
Cool
Oh man, poor guy. I knew he had gone through some horrible stuff but that Teacher story. Jesus.
Thank you for this. Hearing your stories does help.
Been a fan of Mr. Biehn's for a long time, yet I knew next to nothing about him. Didn't think he would've done anything like this. Happy I'm wrong.
Great interview mate - loved T2 and Johns character when I was a kid
Hasta la Vista baby ….
"American Heart" was a great picture.
This was a great interview, two of the best actors ever!
Good to see eddie looking switched on these days.
My favorite movies with Furlong are Little Odessa, Jimmy & Judy, Brainscan, A Home of Our Own, American Heart, etc.
Mike, you did a great job on this interview.... its a trait many don't have... impressive!
Great questions! Really good podcast have my subscription!
Jesus, I didn't realize how many films Eddie's done. Keith David AND David Keith??? Who else can say that? Impressive list.
What a great interview. Great to finally hear Eddie give his own side of the story, in his own words, about what happened in his teen years. I loved Biehn's and Furlong's interviews with Michael Rosenbaum on Inside of You, but you can't beat getting the two together one on one.

Glad to see Eddie moving upwards in his life - Michael did a hell of a job with the stuff he asked him
Btw Brainscan was an awesome movie, pet cemetery 2 is a classic. Brainscan was innovative and ahead of its time, great acting and soundtrack too
Totally agree 👍
Michael is obviously not a horror guy, he has no clue what he's talking about
I had no idea Hick's had a podcast 😮. Now all we need is a deck of cards.
John Connor and Kyle Reese, these 2 are still my heroes after all these years. We need to get Furlong one last shot at Connor in a future WAR T movie.
Cool, gotta start following this podcast
OMG I haven't saw him in years! I'm 37 and had a huge crush on him as a little girl
I love Brain Scan and Pet Sematary 2! How can you say it’s unwatchable?!? 😮
Good job, Mr. Biehn! Don't forget to tell the peeps to hit the like and subscribe buttons at the top. I know it sounds stupid, but it works
That was a good interview. Well done to all.

T3 would have been so much better with Edward Furlong. Nick Stahl just couldn't sell it.
Brainscan was friggin awesome:)
With Furlongs list of celebs he's worked with that's a guy who should start a podcast
Dude's got Golden Tee greatest game!
It’s called “child grooming”. He was groomed as a child by that woman and she thought she could groom Eddie into behaving the way she wanted.
