@@4WheelsOnTheRoad thanks for these videos (all the ones you’ve done on the Overlander) they have been really informative and you’re knowledge on the unit is really good! 💪🏻 I recently purchased an Overlander and took it on a drive. It’s an amazing unit and the explore function is SO good!!! But I’m having a few issues with mine. Firstly the voice activation mode doesn’t recognise my voice out of 10 attempts it worked twice which is disheartening. My map layers is also very different to yours. You had birds eye view,3D view and a N view I think but mine brings up traffic points, trip log and other things that I can choose so idk if it’s how I’ve set it up or if it’s something different. Do you have any suggestions or recommendations on these issues? Like I said your videos are really good and I’ve found it difficult to find tutorials on this unit other than yours so any advice you can provide would be very helpful!!
The one that attaches with this is a cable one I believe. Its cable as it is classified as a reverse camera. I dont have it as yet as the prado has its own reverse camera and I have two garmin security cameras which are 4k which I use for footage in other vids. I may go to the garmin reverse cam soon as I am working out with an electronic sponsor which items to put up for the channel. More to come on that
Hi mark, yes you can. If off-road just follow the lines on the GPS on your track/travel history and if on road, pretty much the same but you can add a ‘destination’ and navigate there. You can also go to track history and select the route and ‘navigate’
@@markturbit9974 thanks mate, really appreciate it. I'm going to film a 'dummy's guide' which I really needed myself a few months ago, in a week or so so should be up in a few weeks. I keep finding little things I wish I had have known lol.. if I only read the manual

Good lawd Dem nails!!!
Lol
On the drive map, when you tap layers, you get view modes, mine comes up with actual map layers. How do I change this to toggle views?
Thank you for this video. Where did you get the screen visor and how do you like it? Thank you.
Thanks Brian, the screen cover actually came off my Hema Hx-1, for a while I actually had the two of them
@@4WheelsOnTheRoad Thank you. I was able to find some of those online.
Great review. Does it come with the hood too?
thanks Steve, no I nicked it off of my old Hema
it does not need it though, its plenty bright enough
Can I use open street map on it ?
@@paulusdinata7836 it's preloaded
Hey mate. Is The rearview camera setup a wireless Bluetooth type?

I use Hema Great desert Tracks a lot for remote area travel. Can these be used and how good/bad is the resolution of Hema maps on Garmin?
Yes, you can
