Greetings from FInland. In Japan they like to mix in phrases and words. The genre is generally speaking hard rock but they have many influences from punk to pop-punk to funk to metal. Yes they don't drag on with their songs, they keep them tight.
Indeed, they all play their instruments for all their music! Although I personally don't have a problem with the likes of Babymetal as a comparison, it's a very different thing, they have various bands play the music for them, and they don't write their music. These ladies write, arrange, play, and perform their own music. It's hugely impressive. Every single one of them is a legitimately talented musician, that's what makes it all the more impressive to me! They are also another one of the bands where live versions are really great. I *highly recommend* you do a video on "Band-Maid / Domination (Live)" and you'll both see them perform expertly on stage, and also see how much fun they're having! "Freedom" is another great live track by them. Aaaand if I can make my personal recommendations for other studio tracks that are great; "Daydreaming" - completely different style, well worth listening to. Slower and softer, It's beautiful! "Blooming" "Dice" "Different" - this one is wild, basically they challenged themselves to write a very technically complex song, where each member contributed largely their own part. It's chaotic, yet somehow musical.

Good stuff! Band-Maid and Babymetal have a few things in common. Other than being Japanese anyway. Most important of these is "live" is better. MV's are great but, always live if possible. Also, they will both improve your workouts by at least 300%. Even more if you leave the slower songs out but, you gotta have the slow songs for the cool down afterwards. Keep up the good work!

This song, in particular, I'd consider pop punk. Overall BAND-MAID is, and refer to themselves as, hard rock. However Akane (the drummer) in particular loves her some pop punk. They also have jazz influences, and obviously there's some metal in there as well. Of the BAND-MAID songs you've seen (based on your channel listing), "Manners" was groove rock, and "After Life" was straight up hard rock. If you just want to bounce around the genres they dabble in, you can try "Daydreaming" for a (great) ballad, "Blooming" for rock with some vocal work reminiscent of rap thrown in from Saiki, or "About Us" for a borderline pop ode to their fans. And if you just want to see them rip it up live on stage, I love "Real Existence" and "No God."
One of Akane’s friends is Ayapeta of Dizzy Sunfist, a melodic hardcore punk trio. Ayapeta is a 4’11” girl stuffed with about 411’ of attitude. Solid band.

I have been a fan of "BAND-MAID" for 6 years. When I first heard their song, I was shocked as if I had been hit on my face. It feels like a tornado is raging in my heart. It seems that the length of one song is set to about 4 minutes because their performance technique is dense and the listeners also accumulate fatigue due to excitement. They always aim to perform live with the same quality for the songs they put out on the MV. As is often the case with artists, the music video is great, but the live shows lack of skill, singing ability, and lack of practice. However, they are always willing to provide live performances of the highest quality. Some people compare BAND-MAID and BABY-METAL, but I think they are different. BAND-MAID has high playing skills for its members, but BABY-METAL is played by a backing band, who only dances and sings. I think BAND-MAID is an artist and BABY-METAL is an idol. They are Band-Maid.. Generally their music is classified as Rock.. But with them, They can start a song with some hard rock instrumentals, effortlessly move into a catchy pop rock style chorus, pull the crowd in and get them involved reminiscent of the punk rockers of old. Next song they will bring in an almost metal style beat, or like that song you reacted to "Manners" that has a classic groove rock sound.. When you have such talented musicians all together, they can compose and play anything they want, so that's what they do... and it's easy to see when they are up on that stage they love every second of what their doing..

Funny you should happen to pick this video at random because there is a movie on Netflix right now called "Kate" and there is a scene in the movie where the main character runs into a nightclub in Tokyo and Band-Maid is performing and this is the song they are playing. I'd classify the ladies as rock but if you delve into their catalog you'll see they have a wide range of styles. Welcome down the rabbit hole.

Although I personally don't have a problem with the likes of Babymetal as a comparison, it's a very different thing, they have various bands play the music for them, and they don't write their music. These ladies write, arrange, play, and perform their own music. It's hugely impressive. Every single one of them is a legitimately talented musician, that's what makes it all the more impressive to me!
They are also another one of the bands where live versions are really great. I *highly recommend* you do a video on "Band-Maid / Domination (Live)" and you'll both see them perform expertly on stage, and also see how much fun they're having! "Freedom" is another great live track by them.
Aaaand if I can make my personal recommendations for other studio tracks that are great;
"Daydreaming" - completely different style, well worth listening to. Slower and softer, It's beautiful!
"Blooming"
"Dice"
"Different" - this one is wild, basically they challenged themselves to write a very technically complex song, where each member contributed largely their own part. It's chaotic, yet somehow musical.

Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. Good stuff! Band-Maid and Babymetal have a few things in common. Other than being Japanese anyway. Most important of these is "live" is better. MV's are great but, always live if possible. Also, they will both improve your workouts by at least 300%. Even more if you leave the slower songs out but, you gotta have the slow songs for the cool down afterwards. Keep up the good work!
Best way to make sure they are playing watch the song Play the live version. Band maid endings leave you wanting more . You might want to also want to react to the mv Warning, I workout to it every day 💪.
This song, in particular, I'd consider pop punk. Overall BAND-MAID is, and refer to themselves as, hard rock. However Akane (the drummer) in particular loves her some pop punk. They also have jazz influences, and obviously there's some metal in there as well. Of the BAND-MAID songs you've seen (based on your channel listing), "Manners" was groove rock, and "After Life" was straight up hard rock. If you just want to bounce around the genres they dabble in, you can try "Daydreaming" for a (great) ballad, "Blooming" for rock with some vocal work reminiscent of rap thrown in from Saiki, or "About Us" for a borderline pop ode to their fans. And if you just want to see them rip it up live on stage, I love "Real Existence" and "No God."
One of Akane’s friends is Ayapeta of Dizzy Sunfist, a melodic hardcore punk trio. Ayapeta is a 4’11” girl stuffed with about 411’ of attitude. Solid band.

It seems that the length of one song is set to about 4 minutes because their performance technique is dense and the listeners also accumulate fatigue due to excitement.

Yes they can play proven on multiple occasions.
They are Band-Maid.. Generally their music is classified as Rock.. But with them, They can start a song with some hard rock instrumentals, effortlessly move into a catchy pop rock style chorus, pull the crowd in and get them involved reminiscent of the punk rockers of old. Next song they will bring in an almost metal style beat, or like that song you reacted to "Manners" that has a classic groove rock sound.. When you have such talented musicians all together, they can compose and play anything they want, so that's what they do... and it's easy to see when they are up on that stage they love every second of what their doing..

Funny you should happen to pick this video at random because there is a movie on Netflix right now called "Kate" and there is a scene in the movie where the main character runs into a nightclub in Tokyo and Band-Maid is performing and this is the song they are playing. I'd classify the ladies as rock but if you delve into their catalog you'll see they have a wide range of styles. Welcome down the rabbit hole.
