I think the acapella bands (Home Free, VoicePlay, Pentatonix, et. al.) don't get air play 'cuz they can't be pigeon-holed. Radio stations now are so one-lane (allll hip-hop, alll classical, etc.) and they don't fit in a specific category. Austin and Home Free are all vocal chameleons and Austin is such a talented singer/songwriter/pianist! He's got a rendition of "Defying Gravity" now that's terrific and a video introducing his new band.

This still feels like it belongs in their current great songs. For the supernatural, try Running Up That Hill (Kate Bush/ Stranger Things). VoicePlay doesn't get as much in the way of Grammies, etc. as they deserve. I suspect it is often because they haven't sold out to the big businesses that want that label. VoicePlay does it all in house so they have the full authority and creativity.

It was traditionally believed that foxes would transform into women to deceive men. Megitsune (which you pronounced incredibly well) means "female fox" or "vixen," and the lead singer is saying that women are not deceiving, should not be underestimated, and are doing the best they can :)

It’s very sorry how they kicked Tarja out using bad common sense which screwed up the band. The Band Night Wish will never be the same after kicking Tarja out sounds like to much jealousy with the men!

The band made lot of bad decisions that brought them down there worst and biggest screw up they fired Tarja why! would you fire some band members that had you on the top!

Night Wish Tarja sings Sleeping Sun it is great! Tarja has a wonderful voice and with the Night Wish band members they are absolutely wonderful.

Home Free is my favourite acapella band by far - their singing, harmonies & beatboxing are always just perfectly suited to the song. 3 of them are song writers (Tim, Austin & Chance) so there are lots of originals as well as covers. And each of them has their own channel(s). They sing and/or write everything from gospel to goofy and do it all perfectly.

The original was by Huey Lewis & the News (apologies to them but I like Home Free's cover better). Chance's suit is a nod to the movie "Anchorman: the legend of Ron Burgundy". This video reminds me so much of the newscasts from Buffalo when I was a kid (in Toronto, Ont.). They never had a fire in Tonawanda - only "sky-scorchers" (LOL).

Floor sings well but the song is made for Tarja.

Tarja's songs will always sound better with Tarja's vocals. Floor's covers are okay but they have nothing on the original where the band actually shines through as a whole instead of just the vocalist. Tarja's voice is used like another instrument throughout the song.

Voctave performed in Tallahassee back in February for one night only. A friend and I went and they are so good...I feel so lucky I got to hear them in person.

This is probably their best live show so far what I've seen. The audio is top notch.

My comments are two years newer than the one below, and they are still the greatest hottest band in the land.

Brave of these wonderful Ladies to tackle this song, but you obviously see how wonderful they are. Get ready to go down the rabbit hole when you do your research on these Gems. They have been into Music since they were toddlers. They obviously have Wonderful Parents and home schooled to make things even better. You won't believe their Vocabulary and the LOVE they have for what they are doing. Amazing, doesn't even begin to have a strong enough meaning.

Hillbilly, the featured girl is Kirstin Maldonado of Pentatonics fame. The featured guy is Jeremy Michael Lewis from an ensemble called the Accousticats. When you watch and listen again, note the times when Jeremy looks to his right. He is looking at Kate Lott and reacting to her high notes. Note: That last chord being held is a great example of a dissonant chord being resolved. This really demonstrates Jamey Ray's fantastic ability to arrange. He is also a member of the Voctave ensemble.

Hillbilly, one very minor correction. Most of the Voctave singers perform at Disney World in Orlando, not Disneyland.

Looks like it's been a while but if you got back to Home Free check out Brother. That's one where you really have to turn your back and just listen to their wonderful vocals in this great song the first one or two, maybe three times before actually watching their antics on screen. Have a tissue or hankie on hand to wipe away the tears of laughter.
