Great reaction. This is a summer festival song about, of all things, a spicy green papaya fruit salad ... but it is also about life and how adding and mixing the right spices can make that better and more tasty as well.
F Hero is a rapper from Thailand. He was rapping in Thai to the same rhythm as mixing the ingredients for the salad with a mortar and pestle.
You got the right idea - if/when you see them live remember to take your towel (or buy one at the merch stand) to swing round your head for this song. Seeing everybody doing that will make Su and Moa very happy ... and we all want them to be happy.

Exactly! BABYMETAL virtually is the epitome of joy!

Loved your reaction. I'm not really a concert-going person in general, but attending a Babymetal concert is near the top of my bucket list these days. Looks like the kind of thing you'd never forget.

I had the pleasure of seeing them when they performed at Terminal 5 in NYC in Summer 2019. The show was awesome.

Welcome back to the Foxhole and this time with Metal Galaxy journey \m/
Babymetal never have afraid of trying something new.
In this case they are mixing ska and thai rap with metal, is a live performance but the audio here is studio sound. Of course with the Kami Band playing behind this one is a blast, so try it if you can find it, there's live comp around here on YT.
Song is about having fun, they sing about papaya salad and festivals and mixing with other things as an allegory of life to enjoy mixing different stuff, in this case the thai and japanese culture. F.Hero is a thai rapper and he rap about that in his part. Waving your towel while dancing and singing is a must on this song.
This is another song from 3rd album but this one as well many more songs are exploring a different Babymetal side, sometimes more mature, but trying to not lose their fun side. Try _BxMxC_ live or official MV if you want to continue travelling this album. There are still more songs to keep enjoying during 3rd album but don't expect songs like the previous one.
See you next time with more BM songs. Put your kitsune up and may the Fox God bless you \m/

    ⚡ 💕 / 🌶 🌞
This was the second of two concerts at Yokohama Arena in late June of 2019.
The song had it's world debut the previous night, which was also their first show that year.
'PA PA YA!!' is a Summer festival party song. Matsuri Da! (It's a festival!)
I wasn't aware of him before this collaboration, but F.HERO is a well known rapper in Thailand.
His rap was all in Thai.
The lyrics in the rap section mention Som Tam (spicy Thai papaya salad) and they incorporated some traditional Thai instruments during that part of the song.
This was a suggestion from the folks who were working on F.HERO's recording in Thailand along with BABYMETAL's producer Koba.

I wonder if BlackPink's Lisa has heard of him, since she's from Thailand and she raps.

@@davidfrischknecht8261 I have the impression that F.HERO is pretty well known in Thai popular music circles.
Of course Lisa has been primarily based in South Korea since BLΛƆKPIИK started in 2016.

Thanks for the reaction! Fun video; I like your unique take. 😅 This is one of my top 5 favorite BABYMETAL songs. It instantly gets me frickin' pumped and makes me want to go for a run or at least stand up and headbang!
Looking at your uploads, I only see this and "Catch Me if You Can". I think it's time for a "Road of Resistance - Live in Japan" reaction. It's an iconic moment for The One. A sold-out 20,000 seat stadium, all those people joyfully living in the moment: It's a spiritual experience really. Alternatively you can't go wrong with "Gimme chocolate!! (OFFICIAL)". Also iconic but more of a fun/silly song that was a big part of why they blew up worldwide. Can't wait to see what you do next!

Nice reaction. Babymetal does have fun on stage. It's like they were born to be there. One of the things that got a lot of smiles from them was seeing all the towels being waved around. Moa said she hopes to see more of that at their shows. I think it's safe to say Babymetal will see more of that. Their energy and positive attitude gets passed on to their audience. A natural side effect of watching Babymetal is feeling happy. So do as the lead singer Su says "Don't Think, Feel". Watch them and feel better. Enjoy your journey through the Babymetal galaxy of music.

This video was released within 24 hours of this performance. It was the second time the song was ever performed and already, the audience has picked up on the towel waving, something that only grew from here. The song itself is using a Thai Papaya Salad as a metaphor for life. Papaya is a fruit. A Thai Papaya Salad (som tum) is an uber spicy Thai staple. By itself, Papaya is pretty bland. Not much to it but if you smash it up, toss in the right spices, it becomes something very awesome... meaning being, life is what you make of it. With the right ingredients, it's pretty damn awesome.

One of my favourite songs by babymetal, along with oh majinai. Papaya is a song about a festival, (and most of it is sung in English, just listen a little harder! )

Good reaction. Seeing Babymetal live is a dream that many of us share, but here in Spain it is something that seems very, very, very far away ...
All their songs have three things in common: they are all energetic, they all have positive messages and they are all ... different from each other. Babymetal is a group that fuses different types of metal with different types of musical genres ... the strangest and most fascinating that I have heard is "Oh, Majinah" where they mix metal with Scandinavian and Irish folk.
I recommend that you react to Road of Resistance live in Japan. It is, for me, the best live song I have ever seen. A warning ... I think it is also his most blocked song ..., so I recommend you if you finally decide, to put a watermark or something.

This video was released in less than 48h after the show, which is insanely fast according
to them who knows how those things work. This was at Yokohama 29th June 2019
And Babymetal had already traveled half-way around the world to Glastonbury festival
in UK. (30th June)+one show in London 2 days later Only to be back in Nagoya, Japan
for Moametal's 20th birthday show Legend M (Babymetal Arises - Beyond the Moon -
    Legend M 6th and 7th July.2019)

lol "maybe they're singing about death and despair" I got the point you were making it's just funny cause I know what the song is about and it is not that. In case no one has said anything this particular song is about ... Papaya salad. And F Heros rap is his recipe for a spicy papaya salad ... or so I have heard.
    Also love the Columbo shirt!

I think if Babymetal stands for one thing, it's giving their listeners and audience a good time. And it's obvious that the girls have fun too in doing so.
Of course, they also have songs that are rather tear-jerking and strike a completely different note, like 'No Rain, No Rainbow' Live Baptism XX, for example, which I can only warmly recommend to you, but on the whole these are probably rather exceptions.

BTW, Sakura Gakuin is an "idol" group where the three Babymetal girls came from (and the other dancer in this mv) - lots of smiles and joys as well :)

"Only the best of the best can be talented? You know what? Get fired up with every ounce of your being! Bring it on, bring it! Bring bring bring bring it! It's a festival, a festival! Spicy summer so-song! It's a festival, a festival! Crazy summer da-dance! Make some noise! Make some noise! Make some noise, yo, pa pa ya boys! Do a dance! Do a dance! Do a dance, pa pa, pa pa ya girls! PA PA YA! PA PA YA!"
Hi Hillbilly! Good reaction. "PA PA YA" is a fun summer party song. It uses the metaphor of spicy Thai papaya salad for a crazy fun summer festival. Babymetal's producer went on a trip to Thailand and liked papaya salad so much he decided to write a song about it and this is what we got! Also, Fucking Hero (yes, that's his name) is a Thai rapper who spit bars about making papaya salad and going to the pool.
Babymetal is one of the best live performances I've ever seen. I caught them on their 2019 US tour and they are absolutely amazing.
