_Matsuri da!_ 🦊🤘🍠 Wow was that a shout-out for me? Much appreciated man 🥰🤘 Today we were talking about BM favorite food, especially pizza lol Babymetal never have afraid of trying something new. In this case they are mixing thai rap with BabyMetal unique sound, and just like you noticed this is audio album track over a live performance video. Of course with the Kami Band playing behind this song is even better. Since BMRR channel doesn't got that one, you can find a decent live compilation version at "who?" channel if you want to hear them again really live, don't worry i won't complain on that compilation.😅 This is a party festival summer song (Matsuri da), especially for season like this in Japan nowadays, they're actually singing about papaya salad and mixing with other things as an allegory of life to enjoy mixing different stuff, in this case the thai and japanese culture. Papaya is a fruit. F.Hero is a thai rapper and he rap about that in his part. Waving your towel while dancing and singing is a must and the girls love that. This song belongs to 3rd album but this one as well many more songs are exploring a different Babymetal side, sometimes more mature, but trying to not lose their fun. This one belongs to the Light Side disc of that concept álbum. The footage of this was took from BABYMETAL AWAKENS: The Sun Also Rises 2019 in Yokohama Arena Japan, F.Hero was invited for this, there's no switching stages or something, he's just in the background, the night before he was really in panic with the amount of people and even throwing after the show🤢 It ain't easy to face that crowd, especially after receiving some negative critics from BM fans who didn't like his participation on this, fortunately he felt good and received a warming welcome. Also that night introducing the _avengers_ system, a group of three backup dancers filling the third spot that YuiMetal left (she leaves the group in 2018). They rotate so not always you'll see the same one on stage, usually the live official MV is with Kano Fujihira, she started this when having 14 years old, so young like our girls back in their early days. None of them have mic or sing and aren't official members, they just dance. Next recommendation: - "Kagerou" with the Kami Band intro live at Legend Metal Galaxy 2020, you can find this at BMRR, or... - "Catch Me If You Can" live at Budokan 2014, GuilhermeCait got a safe one to react. Thanks for coming back once again and see you next time with more BM songs.🦊🤘🧡
@@MattablesAyeeee ty man. I edited my recommendation and switch Distortion for Catch Me If You Can, i also put where you can find that safe to react, you're gonna like that song and the kawaii element.😉👍
Great reaction. This was filmed in Yokohama on the second night at the start of their 2019 tour. F Hero is a rapper from Thailand, he flew in to Japan specially to perform on for those first two nights. He got a lot of grief online from idiots saying he "wasn't worthy" to play with BABYMETAL (whatever happened to the idea of 'Ijime, Dame, Zettai'?) and even thought of pulling out and having his part taken out of the song altogether, but on the night he got a great reception. As Nothsor mentioned, he was so nervous that he went and threw up after coming off stage. As this was the official video it had the studio audio, as you noticed, but as Jake Muller said there is compilation video mostly of this performance with the live audio (it is even better), so part of what you missed here was Su-metal calling out to welcome F Hero to the stage. This is definitely a feel good party song ... 'PA PA YA' is a summer festival (matsuri-da I think they say - something like that) song - about a spicy green papaya fruit salad. F Hero was rapping in Thai to the same rhythm as mixing the ingredients for the salad with a mortar and pestle. They are pretty much saying that, much like the salad, mixing the right spices into life will make that better too. The third girl in this video was one of three dancers brought in to take turns filling the third spot in the choreo after Yui left the band in October 2018. This was Kano's very first show with BABYMETAL - she was still only 14 years old. If you see BABYMETAL live remember to take a towel (or buy one from the merch stand) to swing around your head for this song. Seeing everybody doing that makes Su and Moa happy ... and we all want them to be happy all the time. 🦊
Dont forget what many said at begaining of your journey down the Foxhole, no songs the same and BabyMetal will catch you out all the time . Just rember when you go to a BabyMetal show . Dont forget the towel Moa likes when everyone swings there towel to Pa Pa Ya 😁 🔥🔥🔥🤘🦊🤘🔥🔥🔥
⚡ 💕 / 🌶 🌞 The octagonal platform that Su, Moa and Kano (the avenger) were on raised and lowered on scissor lifts. It could travel on a track from a spot just in front of the stage with the Kami Band musicians, to around the center of Yokohama Arena. They had a very similar setup for the two 'LEGEND M' shows that celebrated Moa's birthday in her home prefecture of Aichi, and for the show at the L.A. Forum in the USA. You're absolutely right, this music video had the studio audio with concert footage, not unlike the official videos for 'Gimme Chocolate!!', 'Shanti Shanti Shanti', 'DA DA DANCE', 'THE ONE' and 'Elevator Girl'. The official video for 'Road of Resistance' (Live in Japan) has actual live concert audio, as does 'No Rain, No Rainbow'.
it is about a fruit. I forget the exact story of this song, but I believe it has something to do with comparing life to a summer fruit salad. I'm sure others will better explain. As for F. hero he is a Thai rapper, and flew in to do two shows with Babymetal. Story is he was so nervous to perform he actually made himself sick.
You are absolutelly right, their videos are all so much Kawaii!! And that's also why they can attract a so much wide range of fans, going from metalheads to pop fans :D
Nice reaction, thanks! "PA PA YA!" is a summer festival song, obviously on their happy and fun side. And it never fails on getting me on a good mood when it's needed. Good job noticing the studio version of the audio dubbed over the visuals from the concert called "BABYMETAL awakens - The Sun aso rises". That was a very important series of two concerts held at the Yokohama Arena in late June 2019. It was their first live performance in 2019 after all what happened in late 2017 and 2018 (Yui's leaving, Mikio's passing away and then trying to find the proper formula to cover Yui's old spot). So fans were a little "nervous" (so to speak) and some reacted badly against F. Hero when the song got leaked a week before the concerts. To the point he wasn't sure to perform live in Yokohama. But he finally did and you can see here the result 😁
Welcome back to the Babymetal Foxhole. "PA PA YA" is from Babymetal third album METAL GALAXY. Papaya is a tropical fruit available anywhere in Asia especially in the region of South East Asia. "PA PA YA!!" is a dance song with an underlying massage of striving for personal excellence, collaboration with a very well known Thailand rapper from Chiang Rai name Natthawut Srimok nickname Golf but known popularly by his stage name F.HERO (Fukking Hero) and specialise in the Hip-Hop and Rap genre. Some remarks in Thai lyric translation part: Molam= Thai-Isan local music "Papaya -Pok-Pok= Thai pun phrase means Som-Tam, Thai food made up from papaya-chopped mix up with chilli, tomato, garlic, palm sugar, lots of vegetable and others depends on varies area. "Som-Tam" also have the same meaning with "Hanaka"= Thai old snack, slang word means like "sugoi" in Japanese. Great reaction. Kitsune Up 🦊🦊🦊🤘🤘🤘🇯🇵🇸🇬#notacult.
What I like about metal music is the high energy, but it's often "angry energy" and I try to tune out the "angry" part and just absorb the rest. With BABYMETAL I get the same powerful energy, but it's "happy energy" and I feel supercharged every time I listen to their music. I also like the intricacy of metal, it lets musicians play to their fullest extent.
Usually when they perform PAPAYA, the octagonal platform will rise to the highest point and the mood of the crowd will also rise to the highest point 😀😁🦊
Great reaction! I feel absolutely the same. Every song is different, but they are all fantastic in their own right. They are just different flavours of awesome. And as usual, there are so many facets that are all top notch. The singing, the dancing, the integration of the Rap part, the musicianship, the smiles, and in this one in particular, the energy in the crowd, everything is exceptionally good. I can't think of anything that could improve on a performance like that.
They are incredible. I have issues with their agency and management, but not once will I EVER speak negative about the girls or the musicians. They work their asses off and it shows every time they are on that stage. It takes a monstrous level of dedication/talent to do what they do while sustaining that level of quality. You can ask any fan who does dance covers if they themselves can do 11 songs back to back remembering every step and ques and keep up the quality without passing out from exhaustion. God level talent.
Watch the Moametal Version of Headbanger :D ... If you find this cute, look at Moa-Metals smile when she starts her Vocal-Solo and the crowd starts cheering! ... There has never been anything as cute as this on any stage ever!
No, it's studio audio over live visuals just like the official videos of Gimme Chocolate, Da Da Dance and Elevator Girl. The editors do a great job to get the syncing pretty close. Su is also very consistent and performing to a click track helps a lot, too, probably. The mixing of Metal Galaxy is much better than the first two albums I feel, though still not great in general.
ususally, the official videos put out on the babymetal channel are the original track with different concerts compiled for the visuals, unless it states 'live' or the name of a specific show they did
Another great recommendation from Metal Galaxy album, just remember Legend Metal Galaxy was in 2020 and we only got this song with live proshot from there.🦊🤘
3:45 nice you realized that, which 99% people don't the first time they see it. Normally Babymetal studio audio are distinctively worse than their live but this is pretty clean. Live audio of it still hit different tho
I just realized that you don't have anything on your channel from Ladybaby, Deadlift Lolita, or Babybeard. I can't recommend them enough. Very different from Babymetal (kind of inverse, very Kawaii with metal elements), but sooooo much fun! Nippon Manju from Ladybaby is a pretty solid place to start. Always love to come to an unabashedly ND channel to hang out! Thanks for what you do! 💜
There are many tracks that are absolutely favourited in their old stuffs that you haven't seen yet. Next I would recommend Syncopation and Yava (Yava with Mischief of god intro). Or Kimi to anime ga mitai (this is a special cover that you should see original ver by Kiba to Akiba first then see how Babymetal turn it to another level)
Those are great recommendations and I totally second that but there's no YAVA! with Mischiefs Of Metal Gods Intro, only Kami Band intro at Big Fox Festival 2017, you're probably confusing Rondo Of Nightmare or Akatsuki, those were the only ones that got Mischief Of Metal Gods Intro.👍
@@BadEnd98 Well they're not all of them called like that, that will lead reactors in confusion, especially when trying to looking for your recommendation.🦊🤘
I like your reaction, because you understand the kawaii element of BABYMETAL correctly and don't try to ignore Yui and Moa who dance so hard. It is sad that you also feel the beauty of adult female singers, but refuse to acknowledge the kawaii of the girls. I think it is not good to be so wary of the sexual element that we ignore the girls and their efforts. I feel that this feeds back to the fact that kids are growing taller and forcing themselves to express the sexy elements in order to grow up. I think Western culture's emphasis on being sexy for both men and women is probably the biggest obstacle to the spread of BABYMETAL. From a Japanese perspective, I sometimes even feel sorry for these American youths. I believe that the most important factor for world peace is to protect what is kawaii. I think it's okay to acknowledge your kawaii side before trying to be young and sexy. I think that is Japan's greatest export. What a harmless export. You see, F.HERO, who is rapping about how to make papaya salad in the background, is starting to look really cute, too, isn't he? His attitude at the Japan concert was also very cute. He stood alone on the platform at Yokohama Arena for the first time and threw up from nervousness after rapping on the spot. The live version of his performance is also very good.
