This was in Chicago. The unsolicited invitation was a complete surprise to them and their company. They were overjoyed; a literal dream come true for them.
Great reaction guys. This Lalapalooza was at Chicago. What a performance by the Maids, especially as they were on a minor stage early in the day. Lots of people have said that they put on the best show of anyone.
The Maids played a one-hour show at 2P.M. on a very hot day in August in Chicago. It was so hot that MISA had to wear shoes. The stage was over a hundred degrees. The cameramen worked for Hulu and didn't know what they were getting with Band-Maid. I feel sorry for the poor artist who went on after them. Guys, I have a recently released live video from Band-Maid on RUclips. The live video is titled "Honkai" SPIN-OFF. The song is a proper banger, but the EPIC "impromptu" intro by the "Thunder Buddies", Akane, the drummer, and MISA, the bassist, WILL BLOW YOU AWAY! MISA's bass tone in this one is otherworldly!
Thank you for your wonderful comment. I think that neither the organizers nor the cameraman knew their true abilities, the organizers scheduled them for lunch time, and the cameraman didn't understand that they were a rock group. It was really a shame. This group is now a world-class performer.
The camera operators obviously have no clue about Band-Maid. I love the way that Saiki was hyping the guitar / bass duel with a huge smile on her face. Misa was in the groove. Kanami only went about three quarter "Mincho Mode" but did play some of the battle with her eyes closed. You two should check out the Official Live Video of Hate from Yokohama Arena if you haven't already seen it. It is incredible!
I failed to mention that the Yokohama Arena version of Hate has English captions. You will get to read some of the most brutal cut-down lyrics ever written. Supposedly Saiki contributed the lyrics for Hate after a friend's husband had an extramarital affair during the covid pandemic. You definitely do not want to pi** off Saiki if you want to retain even a small amount of dignity. She will chop you down like a lumberjack and then smile and say thank you afterward.
After this video went viral, they continued their US tour. I saw them do this sequence in Sacramento, and when Dice started we knew what was coming next. Standing 10 feet from MISA when she and Kanami did their "dialogue"--life changing!
The cameraman missed out on MISA MISA MISA!!! Solo ugh 😑 love ❤️ Band-Maid!!!! Akane on drums she amazing 🤩 Po! Two of my favorite songs also nicely done. My friends Misa is the reason why I’m learning bass in the first place 😊🤘 hopefully they will tour USA and Canada soon 😊🤘
Happy NEW YEAR you two! It was such fun to watch disinterested festival goers wander around at the start of this, people become engaged, watch the crowd gather and fill in, then be complete fans by the end. Maybe you can tell us what the camera man, who clearly had no knowledge of the band or its members, was doing :p .
Oh, They played a full set the night before. They are playing with about 4 hours sleep. Also the nitwits who directed this and the post editor have been bad mouthed for missing so much of MISA's bass playing on "Hate?".
Hey Travis and Suzy. Happy 2025. Thanks for a great reaction to a great band. Travis you nailed it when you said all the reaction videos available are allowing people to find bands, solo artists, etc from around the world. Too bad the camera crew had no clue in Dice when it started with Misa playing a great luck and then Kanami’s solo! 😂 And the same thing in Hate? with Misa’s first solo intro cam is on Miku! I hope the few hundred there told all their friends about what an incredible experience this was.
If the energy of these incredibly hard rockin Maids could be harnessed, we could get away from solar, nuclear and fossil fuels and have the best time! F man I love being a MAIDIAC!
Hey Travis and Suzie, I just requested a video, but I think I stuffed up and sent the message for it as a separate contact us message instead of part of the request. Sorry, I'm still learning how the system works. In my defence, I've barely slept for 96 hours, lol. Don't stress. My record is 8 days, and I'm in bed now... watching your videos, lol... sooo stop being so entertaining?😂
Only because you don't read the lyrics and can't follow the brilliant arrangements. True, nothing wrong with pop but some posers use the word as an insult.
the choice of the filmaking of this concert is a disaster .... Bass solo on Dice camera on SAiki, Guitar solo on Dice camera on Misa then Miku. On Hate ? Bass solo camera on Miku
Well you do have a better version of Hate live vid so there is that, plus this version is older etc. The Wolfies did one of the best reactions to I Still Seek Revenge if you haven't seen that excellent. I agree with other commneters do Honkai next or Forbidden Tales
@@Lt.AldoRaine-h3x Would have been perfect for me cuz I coulda avoided the masses of people there to see the crap bands. Heat or cold doesn't bother me, posers are much worse. Don't use air-conditioning so much to save carbon footprint and climatise yourself if you are healthy enough. Just like One Punch Man 😅😅😅
It’s an outdoor festival. Festival sound always sucks and playing outside in the summer sun is a nightmare. Reportedly Saiki passed out from the heat backstage afterwards.

THANK YOU FOR REACTING TO THE GREATEST FEMALE BAND IN THE WORLD❤❤❤❤❤
Yes
Best band period.
such a great band to see live! dbl ♥ I actually discovered them via another reactor back in late summer of 2019!

Thanks again for a great reaction to an amazing band!! Band Maid makes my day!!! You can't help but smile when you watch these ladies perform!!
👍
From Japan

The whole set is a good watch...they rocked that unsuspecting crowd.
👍👍Awesomely awesome. Total🔥🔥. Great reaction. 🖖❤
They actually played the night before at 11 PM.I was sweating my a** off.Just waiting in line. They crushed it 13 Hours later. They crushed this too
The camera people were not ready lol

Thanks for another great reaction, and, as you say, spreading the word of the Maids through your reactions! Rock on Wolf Hunterz!

The one thing the cameraman did was spend lots of time on Akane, and I’m fine with that.
@@powbobs He was probably a drummer :p .

She’s also mesmerizing to watch up close live.
I was there too.
Happy New Year , Tavis n Suzi , that was in Chicago summer of 2023.
Pick a song, ANY song, Band Maid🎀will NOT disappoint you! GREATEST BAND ON EARTH!😻Maidiac for life!
Happy new year you guys.
Love you guys!

No post editor. It was a live stream.
Watch closely to Akane during the first part of HATE, she loses a drum stick, picks another one up without skipping a beat
🤘😝🤘
The best live rock band on the planet...maybe ever.

I was there, the crowd grew quickly once they started.
The big empty spot you see had no view of the stage resulting in no people there.
Should give 'Hagane' a try with their new release ''Start our journey.' they are truly phenomenal.
👋🕊️👍🙏
Thanks, guys! For best audio and video, please check out the live OMV's of Dice and Hate (at Yokohama Stadium). 🤘🎀🤘
Show went so well they were invited back the following night for a special unscheduled performance on the biggest night ...Saturday
They played at Park West the previous night, not the next night and it was scheduled in advance. I was at both.
@@_DriveTime that's not what the post concert article said. It's on their channel
@@RobertWeber-is1ug Who's channel? I was at both events.
Drive time is correct. The Maids posted this as well.

Great as it is to see them at Lollapalooza the camera work and sound there is always horrendous 🤷♂
Pity that the work experience kid was the camera person!!!
Just outside of Chicago
Grant Park is downtown.
Grant park is not outside of Chicago at all.
