- Finally got my Vance and Hines Twin Slash cut. This thing is loud. After replacing the stock exhaust, I am really excited and satisfied with this modification. The hardest or longest part was the removal on the old ones.

I just bought the same bike (mines a 2020) and it came with these pipes. When they started it up at the dealer. I fell in love. I’ve ridden a scout bobber before on a demo day. I remember how the stock sounded now that you showed us. It reminds me of my Victory when it was stock. The V&H sounds awesome in person. Video doesn’t do justice.

very nice bike man, great sound and great install video, thankyou. I have a 100th Anniversary Scout with the Indian shortys and stage 1 kit, but even though they're an improvement on the sound and look from stock, i still want a better look and sound. I also have a loose inner pipe rattle on the bottom pipe that annoys the bejesus out of me and no idea how to fix, so my philosophy is to eradicate and replace the problem with a better look and sound..... as one does! The V&H slashcuts tick the boxes.
Are you able to claim the Shortys on warranty? What aftermarket company is the air breather for the stage 1? That's my next project but obviously haven't gotten to it.
@@apexofrandomvidz It's a genuine Indian stage 1 kit airbox and filter. Ive fixed the rattling silencer with high heat JB weld chaulked into the face plate at the end of the pipe, It's cemented the silencer pipe and face plate into the silencer body solidly and no more rattle whatsoever. subsequent heat and carbon has now coloured the repair to be unnoticeable. The perfect crime!!
Due to numerous covid border lockdowns in Australia and the fact i purchased the bike over the border in Queensland restricted me from taking it back to the dealer for most of the year. That's why i fixed it myself.
I have also found out that the weird configuration anti tamper Torx screws on the silencers are Indian's own kind and are not serviceable. In other words, the solution is replacement silencers. So anyone out there trying to remove/modify baffles or fettling with Indian silencers, you can't! Pretty sneaky and I did let Indian know i wasn't happy about that. Cheers.

awesome video, since putting it on, cause i know hearing it in person and hearing it over a video is different. have you received any noise complaints about it? noticed you were in a neighborhood, and i want to make mine louder. but hesitant cause of the type of neighborhood im in!
I have not received any complaints. But of course I am not letting the bike sit for long or reving it just for the noise. My main road is close enough for me to make a turn out of my neighbors path. I believe this is loud enough, I've gotten positive feedback when I'm out and about cruising. Thanks for watching.

I take it out periodically, it's sleeker than the stock and loud. But a good sounding loud if that makes any sense

I got mine off in 2 mins. Didn't separate them, took both out together. Took 5 mins to put the Hines on.

I was caught off guard as soon as I started the bike. Super Loud.
Torque clamps to 45in/lbs not ft/lbs. It’s a typo in the instructions.
I'll insert that in the description. Indian sent me a new cam screw set, so I knew what NOT to do. Hand tight pretty much, it's been holding since I made the code.
What tank bag you using?

You forgot to mention you have to remove the 2 other bolts from the bracket.So a total of 5... not 3...just got done doin this myself.

Did u do a tuning after the install of the slip on exhaust?
Thanks for watching. No I did not, A tuning is not necessary for just slip ons. Once you start with slip on and air cleaner that's when you want to adjust the fuel management.
No need...just let the bike running for about 15min after installing and the ecu will adjust itself and recognise them.

Thanks for watching. On the packaging, it has a huge sticker that says "Get the FuelPak". 'm sure it is a marketing tactic, however, for just doing slips on most people do not retune the bike. When you do the air breather and the slip on that is when you start to retune.
Slip ons dont need a retune from what ive heard
Indian dealer told me You dont have to if just slip ons
Think of them as "slip-on slippers". You simply slip them on and go.

You always want the screw head of the clamps facing down. That way you don't see them.

thats terrible fit for V&H.. they need to be 1/2 inch longer to cover all the chrome.
I'm not a chrome person and prefer the all black,. But I'm sure that was their intentions, to have the chrome out the back portion. Overall, they are amazing and loud. Thanks for watching.
