Of the Rat Pack, I’d say Sammy Davis Junior was the most talented because he had to do everything. Frank had a huge range of expression when singing and gave every song a distinct touch that was uniquely his. You don’t have to play an instrument to be a great musician. You just have to put something into it that’s surprising and inspiring.
He’s SO wonderful and makes me laugh! 😻 I’ve enjoyed following Steve’s film 🎥 & musical 🎵 careers. He can sure pick… 🪕♥️! I just read that he also plays upright bass, mandolin, harmonica & guitar! He’s a skilled “Clawhammer” banjoist - what’s that mean?? 🤔
Thank you! Read this and immediately got RUclips to find me some Earl Scruggs videos! - and found Earl Scruggs and Steve Martin doing Foggy Mountain Breakdown on Johnny Carson. 😃
Hate crowds like this. They think “I know him. He’s a comedian. I have to laugh at anything he says!” He’s essentially giving a lesson on banjo. Not telling jokes. He’s there to play. And man… he can play!!!!
50 years later still funny😂
What a talent!
Nice! I love Steve and his banjo playing. 😎
I love early Steve Martin.
Classic ✌🏼
¡Excelente, maravilloso!...
👍👍👍👌👌👌👏👏👏👏👏👏🌹🌹🌹🌻🌻🌻🌷🌷🌷💐💐💐
Hell Yeah😃Steve Martin RULES!!!!!!!😁Always good for a laugh🤣😂ROCK ON!!!!!!!🤘🏻🤙🏻✌🏻
One of the most multi talented entertainers ever!!! In the class with Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra!!!
How were Dean Martin and Sinatra 'multi' talented? I mean, other than singing and drinking?
@Grateful_Dad_54 Careful. Your ignorance is showing!!!

I wish they hadn’t cut off the clip. More banjo!
"I got a fever....and the only cure? More BANJO!"

Any clip of him playing the 🪕 is worth putting out there.
Ohhh.. ... ..😊😅😢
The kids are sitting there visibly thinking, "we came to see rock bands, not to hear a banjo!"
This dropped one day before Earl Scruggs' birthday.

Steve's looked old since the 70's 😂
Best Fishes...
Song wird ausgeblended-NO GO!!!!!!
If you're an Irish musician you can depress the audience with a banjo
Can't see what Linda Ronstadt saw in him.
nice gay comment probably his package
Probably what the other 99% of us with senses of humor saw.
Steve Martin’s movies rock, but his stand sucks.
Steve Martin is horrible and not funny!
Oh, honey. Go outside, take a walk and clear your head. Relax.
Then you'll realize that nobody cares what you think.
Maybe someday, you’ll figure it out! He’s classic and still relevant today.
You should hear what he says about you! (And did you give yourself a thumbs up? 😂)
