70 years old here.. I just love love love your teaching and those crazy beautiful patterns, lol. “Love love” sounds like a name for a pattern ha..feel free to use it if you like. Hugs..
Thank you Stephen, for always showing your techniques using both Continental and English methods. When I knit Brioche, I execute the slip 1 yo brk with yarn in left hand. But I execute the slip 1 yo brp with my right hand. This may seem unorthodox, but I developed horrible tendinitis from working two color Brioche purling using my left hand. We adapt where necessity demands, rather than sacrifice our art ❤️🩹
OMG I can't believe I have only just discovered you, you are so wonderful, you make top designer style stuff that I would never be able to afford and then you sell your designs for us to knit - you are an ANGEL!!!!! Then your tutorials are fabulous too! And you seem to like all the shapes and colours I love. Tell your mama thank you
Thank you so much! It's so exciting to make your own sweaters and shawls and customize them with color! I have more fun tutorials coming each week this spring.
Amazing... this old gal would love to give this a try, but not sure my brain will handle it... i do however, want to say what an amazing person you are ! Just LOVE you and your style and patience... Hugs, GrammaBabs
Hi Stephen 1st I have to say I absolutely love all your patterns you have turned the world of knitting upside down and made what we have been told NO into YASSSSSSSS and that anything is possible and should be fun!!! Because of you I'm knitting how I dreamed of but never thought I could..thank you for all the encouragement you give, and I feel blessed to have you as a teacher...These series of new tutorials you are posting are so fantastic and very helpful THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
before today i had a garter tab and an i-cord tab in my wheel-house....thank you so much, Stephen, for putting the brioche tab in my wheel-house...this opens so many new avenues for my designs
Hallo Stephen, Thank you very much for your teaching videos. 🌼 They are very helpful, especially for beginners. 🧶 Stay healthy. Greetings from Germany(Eifel) Andrea.
Couldn’t be more timely. I’ve just decided to start my first brioche project, the Askews Me shawl and battled to complete the brioche tab yesterday. Now prepared to rip it and start again properly with this video. 🙏
Thank you so much for your fabulous videos! I’m still a new baby knitter and your designs have always looked so intimidating, but these technique videos make these skills look so much less scary and much more approachable.
I kept hearing brioche snitch lol. Thank you for the English style demonstration, it makes so much sense to me as oppose the continental style! I'm still not brave enough to attempt but so good to learn something new.
I just FINALLY got the courage to purchase your Penguono yesterday!!❤️☺️ I never knit any kind of sweater before. Hope I can do this. ! Doing it all out of my hand spun.
Your teaching as always is amazing. I always have trouble with picking up stitches on something like this, so I use a crochet hook and that makes it easier for me.
Hello thanks you for these tutorials I love all your 💕 patterns I was a little scared to do them but your tutorials I have already knitted two and I'm knitting one more
Your videos are so helpful. They are making me less afraid of brioche(never brioche) I’m mentally preparing for my first brioche project. Any recommendations for a newbie? You’re amazing!!!
Do a hat in the round in brioche! Brioche in the round is easier. I have a pattern called Syncopation Adoration Hat that's good for a first brioche hat project and check out all the brioche cowl and hat patterns by Lavanya Patricella. I love her designs and they are phenomenal for easy brioche practice.

Thank you Stephen, high priest of Brioche! 💖
So good. Thank you. I am knitting Suriously Holey and was so relieved to see you had this explanatory vid. Arohanui, from Down Under.
