Oh man…just woke up and time to get my fingers moving. Forgot Amsterdam is 6 hrs ahead in time for U.S. Now I’m pumped and ready to CO! After some coffee. 😉
Wow, what a great tutorial for the start of the shawl! Thanks to you I am off to a solid start to my Night frost Kit. Take care of yourself and happy holidays to you and all you loved ones 🥰!
Happy Boxing Day Stephen and team, thanks for this tutorial, it's especially useful for colour placement as I'm team stash and using lace weight yarns in place of the mohair. So excited to be knitting my first Hiberknits knit along (Go-Go Dynamo was my first MKAL and the best thing I've ever knit, so far😊).
I loved the shawl ❤ and the explanation is very easy and beautiful. I wish you would complete the explanation of the rest of the roles because I am a beginner in the art of knitting. I loved your shawl very much. Thank you for the wonderful art.🌹
Beautiful! Started late on the Go Go MKAL and on wavy border but just got beginning of rsi so no knitting for me at the moment but this is very tempting! 😍
Comme c'est bien expliqué moi qui n'ose pas acheter de modèle en anglais comme cela semble simple, j'aime beaucoup ce châle, il est magnifique et délicat 🤩👍
Hi there, I would like to get a video of a old age night shawl knitted pattern, thin or 4 weight yarn. They are very rare to get. Thanks for showing us the "grand" stitches. Hope you have a wonderful day.
Try doing a search in RUclips for "vintage bed shawl", there are some channels that specialise in vintage knits (and crochet) and you might find the sort of thing you are after. Alternatively, do a Google (or similar) search for "vintage bed shawl" and you may find the sort of thing you are looking for that way. EDIT: Or plan C. Knit one of Stephen West's fingering weight (equals 3 - 4 ply, which I think is what you are looking for) shawls, it might be a bit more colourful than a classic vintage one but you'll probably learn some new techniques along the way.
There should be a download link for the e-book with your shipping notification email. If you don't see it, please email us at info@stephenandpenelope.com for you e-book download code. :)
Is it possible to have a drawing of the design so we can color it with colored pencils ? To get an idea of how to arrange our wool colors, and have several possibilities and choose the best one for me ? Thank you 😊
Yes, you could use a fourth shade of fingering weight wool for the CC substitution. During the marled mohair sections where color A or color C is held together with the CC's, you could just ignore that marling and always just hold one strand of fingering weight yarn in each section.

Love the purples, Stephen ! The pattern is gorgeous. I'm motivated to try harder to learn to knit. 😊
Stephen’s projects are a fine way to learn!
Happy New Year and thank you for all the wonderful patterns and for all the joy and inspiration that you give us with every new episode! 😊🤗❤

I would love to know what sweater it is you're wearing!!! Neon always steals my heart!!!
The pattern is on his website
It's the Fragmentation Sweater www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/fragmentation-sweater

LOL
@@a.leehilliard4716 why LOL ? I have bought the pattern, I don't want to cheat.
Anyone know what colour Stephen is using as colour A in his demo?
Stephen...would it be cheating doing one color. It has enough variety in stitches I feel it would look elegant. Thanks
Go for it! That would be beautiful with all the textures and lace stitches!
Mohair is too itchy for me. Would this pattern work with using fingering weight yarns for the CCs too?

@ ok thank you - excited to give it a try! :)
Belleza 🇺🇾
Oh no ! I thought the KAL YT tutorials went from start to finish ?
❤❤❤
It's a gorgeous shawl, but....
I'm mohair sensitive & this seems to be mohair dependent. 😢
I wish it was optional like the other shawls have been.
