- Learn how to make these awesome jalapeno poppers stuffed with cream and shredded cheese and BACON!! Double breaded and deep fried, these are sure to be a hit for your family or next get together! Perfect appetizer for parties, the Super Bowl, football games or just as a snack for the kids.
What you'll need:
8 jalapeno peppers
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup shredded co-jack cheese
4-5 slices bacon
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups dry breadcrumbs
oil for frying
Start by frying the bacon. When nice and crispy, drain on paper towels and let cool.
To prep the peppers, cut in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds and veins using a spoon. Use gloves for this is you have open sores or sensitive skin on your hands. Set aside.
In a medium bowl, combine the cream and shredded cheese. Add in crumbled bacon and stir to mix well. Put about 1 tablespoon of filling in each pepper half. Press down firmly into the pepper so there are no air pockets. Mound the filling up slightly. Continue with the rest of the pepper halves.
In a small bowl add the flour. In another bowl add the breadcrumbs. In a third bowl, combine the eggs and milk. Start the breading process by dipping the poppers into the egg, then the flour. Shake off excess flour and put back into the egg mixture. Let excess drip off and then dredge in the breadcrumbs. Set onto a plate and continue with the rest of the peppers. Let dry for about 10 minutes and then bread again by dipping into the egg again and back into the breadcrumbs. Again, let dry for 10 minutes before frying.
Heat oil in a heavy bottomed pan and heat over medium-high heat until oil reaches 350*F. When the oil is ready, slowly and carefully put a couple poppers into the oil and fry for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to a paper towel lined plate to drain of excess oil. Serve with ranch dressing or your favorite dipping sauce. Makes 16 poppers. Enjoy!!

I fallowed all your steps came out good 👍🏼
I also put the half jalapeños back together with the cream cheese/cheese/bacon in them put toothpicks to hold. So instead of half jalapeño pepper it was one hole pepper. Double the satisfaction in one bite. 👍🏼
The vibraphone adds wonderful dimension to this lovely recipe..............
I'm so doing this with bacon. YUM! Jalapeño poppers are one of the most amazing foods in the entire universe...and with bacon! I'm dying right now
Astropunch
me too, don't have the fixins and gotta stay here.....drat
suggestion: If you wrap the popper with bacon, it's fine to use cheap thin cut or not so lean bacon warmed to room temp...so it stretches round and round. . The fat cooks off either way. If you chop up your bacon and add as a stuffing, invest in lean bacon or ham, pre crisped to for breaded style as seen here. I made some tonight...a buddy at my VFW gave me a gallon bag of jalepenos...and now I'm committed. Oh...and I use an air fryer...the bacon drippings go to the bottom.
I like how your breading stays on...looks good, the melted cheese stays in and he scores!
I did this without bacon and used half panko half breadcrumbs so yummy 😋
Thank you for the recipe! I have a garden full of jalapeno peppers and this recipe worked out beautiful! So delish.
Wish I lived near you girl. I ❤these things they are so expensive no I said Im sick of this shit Im making my own
Almost the exact same recipe I use. I like to take the seeds from one or two the peppers and add them back into to the cream cheese mix. I find scooping out all the innards leaves the peppers tasting a bit too mild for my liking and it's easy to control how much heat you add back in.
My man!
Stealing this
Great video! I like it that your videos are short and to the point!
You make an excellent popper, it made the finalist! Thank you.
I had some Tgi fridays poppers that you can buy frozen. I've never fallen in love with food so fast before.
The 173 people who gave thumbs down didn't carefully lower their poppers into the HOT oil.🌋😋
Ain't it the truth?
Was tempted to give him a thumbs down for throwing the seeds away.
😂😂😂
They look amazing! This is the recipe, that i am going to use. Thanks for posting it, it's a keeper, for sure.
These look beautiful! I love how you got the coating to look so wonderful. I never thought of double coating things...duh! lol Big Super Bowl hit!
I love that they are double breaded, I will try this!!! Thank Youuu
Great video thank you for not talking too long. You just get right to the point and it looks fantastic. I will subscribe
your jalapeno pepper popper recipe is excellent! I make mine the same way except I don't use cream cheese and yes I do use Monterey Jack cheese or pepper jack. your presentation is excellent your poppers look amazing!!! I can't wait to make them again and incorporate the bacon I just never thought about that. your breading technique is excellent that's just how I do it and sometimes let him chill a little bit before putting it in the hot oil. I made a big batch about 3 weeks ago I went to the market and they had large jalapeno peppers the thing I didn't realize was they lasted a long time in my refrigerator didn't realize that they really never stay around long enough but they lasted a long time so I was eating jalapeno poppers for a long time LMAO😁. that was just fine with me! a big thumbs up for you👍 and don't you just love your cast iron every kitchen should have one it makes everything better and you can also cook just about anything in it but it's great for deep frying. I watch this one twice then had to run to the kitchen and to my dismay just grab some pretzels with mustard LMAO. this was an excellent presentation again a big thumbs up👍👍👍😎THANX
Lemon juice is great for getting rid of oils from peppers off and other great things😀😊cant wait to try this one😊
Just harvested a bunch of peppers and was trying to find other basic ways to make these guys. Tried other ways, but they didn't work as well as what you spell out here. Thanks very much! Subscribed.
I am speechless. This was splendid! They are beautiful lol I’m gonna try my hand at them and freeze them to cook for dinner tomorrow. So we shall see!

You are the devil tempting me with these yummy poppers! :) Love all your recipes and videos!
I made these for the first time yesterday after watching your video. I wish I could show you a picture of them they were absolutely amazing. I used vegan cream cheese, feta cheese, cheddar cheese. (No bacon) Thanks!!!!
Like the idea of adding the bacon, bet they are really tasty.
They are! I only used half the filling the first day and the second half the next and letting the filling sit overnight really helped to bring out the flavors. Next time I make these, I'll be making the cheese mix the day before!
I'm so wanting all of these! Shared:)
LOL!! Come on over! Thanks so much Linda!
Looks awesome, gotta try this recipe !
Hope you enjoy!
This. Looks. Divine!
one tip i learned for washing the spicy oils off fingers is to squeeze a fresh lime over your hands or fingers that touched the spicy things. takes it right off.

LOL!! Thanks Angie!! I seriously don't know how you can stand torturing yourself like you do but huge props to you!!
No idea it's food porn to me sweetie! PMSL!!!
If you have a bad reaction to gluten, as I do, you can substitute masa corn flour for the wheat flour and breadcrumbs. It works great with no sacrifice in flavor.
I've always bake them...but this look so GOOD,I've got to try..will let you know...
I'm sitting here eating my jalapeno with cheese and bacon while I'm watching this video 😍
I made these last night and I almost ate all of them! Very good!!
Glad you enjoyed!!
everyone saying to man up and not wear gloves has never taken a piss with out thoroughly washing their hands hahaha
or touched their eye
Jared Depew
you think thats bad? I once cut up habaneros and didnt wash my hands before taking a piss, worst night of my life
Cody Sewell haha what happened to your life
@@treycourtenay847 I could sleep, the burning was just so bad, in the end I had to go for a shower just to wash it, to get the burning to go away
They look so good! I wish I wasn't such a baby who doesn't like to eat "hot spicy" things.. I can do mild, but I stay away from the stuff that really burns my mouth.. LOL
These actually weren't to spicy. Taking the seeds and veins out makes them much milder (that's where most of the heat is). Also, the cheese really helps to take away some of the heat too. There was still one pepper in this batch though that was a killer, even for me! But like I told Sheila, you can also use zucchini with the same filling and breading and they'd be just as good!
What about shredded pepper jack cheese, Crouton Crackerjacks? 🔥🔥
Oh Man! Now I want some Popper's!
mmmm looks good
Delicious 👽💀👽💀💙💙💕thank u for the recipe ...
For a healthy way use turkey bacon and base ur halopena in light mayo instead of egg. Use breadcrumbs to bake using a small amount of Olive oil. Comes out very crisp.
im really new to cooking, and i dont know anything other then how to make a grilled cheese, but im going to try this out
I made these tonight. They were very good. Though my peppers were still a little crunchy. Any suggestions on making the peppers softer?
69Crimthann You can either boil the peppers for a few minutes or put them in the microwave for a few minutes before stuffing and breading to soften them up a bit. Commercial poppers are made with canned peppers and if you can find those, use them instead of fresh for more commercial-like poppers.
Crouton Crackerjacks You can also roast them, first, then put them in a plastic bag to sweat, then peel the skin off before stuffing. Makes them easier to eat. I love these things! :)
Thank you both so much!
put them to sweat! like she said ☝☝ i know it works because ive done it so many times when i cook mexican food "chiles rellenos" another version of jalapeño poppers.
First!!:D i love this channel!
Congrats!! And thank you!
These seriously look great. I would never waste the capsaicin or the seeds though, I'd mix them with the filling for extra punch. Throw it away and you've lost the heat.
Oh Grrreat!!! Something else I have to make for thanksgiving dinner! Thanks alot! JK. Awesome video and recipe! Cheers! 🤣🤣🤣
I made this with serranos instead because i had a bag and they were great!
Yum! Looks amazing. For cinco De meyo the store has the peppers on say 89 cents a pound so i got 2 and thats a LOT of peppers. Forgot bread crumbs and oil so will try these tomorrow!
YUMMMMM!!!!!!!
Looks DELICIOUS!!!
I love these as is but my kids find the heat of the pepper too much. You can blanch the peppers beforehand to reduce the heat and soften the peppers a bit.
OOH WEE, these are absolutely one of my favorite appetizers! Thank you so much for sharing! I can't wait to give this a try!
Omg they look so amazing I'm so gonna make this they kinda look like chiles rellenos anyways love your cooking and I already watch all your videos :)
Thanks Miriam! These are basically a type of chile rellenos, just a smaller version of them. I've been trying out recipes for chile rellenos so expect a video of them coming up! ;-)
Very rich in favor . Thanks I will try it !
I have tried frying fresh jalapenos this way before but found the peppers just didn't get cooked enough for my liking. The peppers were still very firm and still very spicy hot. I then used pickled jalapenos and those turned out well. I coated mine in Kentucky Colonel and that was a flavorful coating. If I try the fresh jalapenos again, I wonder if I should scrape more of the insides out, making a thinner pepper "wall" and maybe that will help them cook more. ??? Thanks for a great video!
The crispiness is just the nature of using fresh peppers. If you want them softer, you can use pickled jalapenos again or you could use fresh but boil them in a little bit of water (just enough to cover them) for 10 minutes or so and that'll soften them up quite a bit. It also takes a lot of the heat out of the peppers. Just make sure to cut them in half and remove the seeds and the white ribs (veins) before doing so because that's where most of the heat is. Hope that helps!
I had the same problem in the past, the peppers werent cooked enough for my liking, . Ive thought about putting the peppers in the oven for awhile first, then filling them after they are cooled, but not sure that would work, and dont want to waste the peppers, or have a huge catastrophe
Yep, you can also put them in the oven too to roast. I don't know the time or temp but it is an option. There's lots of tutorials on roasting the jalapenos on the google.
aha! boiling them! I will try that! Thanks so much!
I'm making these right now, but I used pickled jalapeño peppers. I also cut the top off and stuffed them from the top...leaving them intact! I KNOW they are about to be the BOMB! Dropping them in the deep fryer right now!!
Uh, no. Use fresh
Damn do these things look good!!!!!!!!!!
Did this & dude it tasted I like I ate a cream cheese stuffed bell pepper 🫑 😆definitely learned to leave in seeds😭🤞🏼
my right ear felt lonely
Shit happens. No one's perfect.

I will! Thank!!
on another not fair played on the poppers they look tasty af
similar to how i make mine but i dont like the fresh jalapenos i like to get the pickled whole ones and the its pretty much the same steps
Thank you. They look yummy. ~ God Bless you.♥
Thanks Joan!
best ever!!!!
Hallelujah for Hallepiña poppers!
I make a capital T cut at he top of the jalapeno and keep them in one piece. Then scoop out some, not all of the veins and seeds. Then fill with cheddar and jack cheese and bacon. Then bread with egg/milk mixture and flour, repeating two or three times. Then hold the pepper closed with a toothpick. Finally, fry them babies.
How exactly do u cut it to keep in one piece? And how do u gut it out then
You can make these by the doz's and freeze what you don't eat soon. Take out what you want, when you want but don't let them thaw out completely before frying. They will come out too mushy if you do. When you get these from most restaurants they are bought Frozen in bulk. They go straight from the freezer & in to hot oil.
Bread Craaaauuummmsss
I heard taking out the seeds makes them less hot is that right? I can't eat spicy foods it doesn't agree with me. I would make them otherwise!
yum! 👍👍👍
