Great stuff! I tested on my Pixel 6 Pro with the same results except for the "take a screenshot" and "close Spotify". These commands work great for me every time. Mine is on the November 5th update for the OS and December 3rd for Google app.
I don't think it was really fair to say "Google something something" in the "controlling apps" section. What Google Assistant is really good at compared to the other assistant is answering questions - what you ended up actually testing here is Siri's and Bixby's ability to open Google and put in a search term, and not if they are actually able to answer the question
"google something' is actually the most common thing to ask assistants...there is no point of saying 'it's not fair'. We are testing the ability of assistant to get the result "as soon as possible" with accuracy....irrespective of the fact that how integrated it is. Hi Nick. Bro plz make camera comparison of pixel 6 pro, iphone 13 pro, vivo x70 pro plus.... By the way your reviewing style of Smart phones are awesome.
I've rarely seen tests like this before. Siri has been maligned for years, but it pretty much dominated here, plus you said it won last time too. Pretty funny it couldn't produce the founders of Apple though. 🤦🏿♂️
This test is fundamentally flawed. The same questions are asked multiple times but worded differently, as if that will change the outcome (turn on/off darkmode). Context awareness is not tested at all, and speed is irrelevant as it depends on the phone (and the difference is so small it doesn't matter). I've seen some much better executed tests and the result tends to be: - Google Assistant - Siri - Bixby
The iphone is faster in opening apps with or without using the voice assistant so I think this comparison was heavily influenced by that. Doing the same comparisons with different phone models/os versions would produce different results, but the assistants are still the same so I don't think the "speed" part of the video is any accurate. Nonetheless nice video!
Same exact thought. Also it's clearly that Google Assistant is the king with more advanced and "real life talking" sentences rather than a robot who automates some actions At least to me, Google is trying to model a "smart" assistant rather than a "virtual assistant" like Siri (which ofc works just fine it does the job, but in a different way)
@@pucciox40 Yh, I actually use Google assistant quite often, as it's as far as i know the only good tool to recognise songs by you humming/singing them.
Instead of "Google what is Elon Musk's net worth". You should have asked "What is his net worth?". This was a decent test, but there should have been more questions based around context. For example; "When did [movie] release?", "Who acted in it?", "How did it perform in the box office?", etc.
@@mikey187lfc I agree, Google would have, and should have, won this comparison. Google Assistant is the better assistant. Being able to recognize and understand natural language and context is important for voice assistants.
Would be interesting to see the voice assistants compared on watches. A couple years ago when I tried Bixby it seriously struggled with simple tasks like starting workouts or making calls.
I don't think this is a good comparison at all, because I feel that you played specifically to Siri's strengths here. Specifically, you didn't ask back-to-back questions to test conversational skills and overall didn't go that in-depth on many categories. Plus, the speed category is a little misleading, and while I am impressed with Siri's speed I believe it should only be used to settle ties (unless it's not even close). It looks like you used Google Assistant through a VPN as well, which can definitely impact speeds. That said, I still appreciate the work put into this video, and am not trying to hate on anyone here. Just giving some feedback!
When Bixby was first released in beta it was fast, accurate and had way more options plus could have answered all the ones it wasn't able to now; my guess is Samsung partnerships with microsoft made it less useful.
Really? Because I remember when Bixby was released, and it was a steaming pile of obsolete garbage. Looks like now it's just obsolete, so credit to Samsung I guess...

I tested the same stuff, my Assistant on Oneplus Nord was way quicker and did some of the stuff that the pixel didn't do, like increasing brightness. Weird..
I feel as though speed only matters on certain things. For example, you already had Spotify open in the background with the Apple phone, so when you asked it to open it, it just switch tabs rather then opening it. Not to mention the fact the Pixel has the least powerful chip here meaning opening apps, the apple phone is clearly going to win in most cases.
Bixby is actually really good. I think bixby missed a lot of those questions because a lot of bixby capsules are only available in USA and south korea. Even spotify capsules is not available in europe? Come on. I,m in the USA and the only question bixby missed was the wikipedia question. Bixby has really improved. No joke. Samsung has improved bixby but the development is so uneven. It,s stupid. Why make most of the capsules only available in the USA and Korea?
Milliseconds speed doesn't matter to me, but I consider google assistant as best as it is the perfect allrounder for our questions to random conversation. Come on Apple didn't show it's founders (I love apple)
Asking the iPhone "Google " isn't being too fair since it isn't an Android that natively runs Google Search. I tried the same questions by just asking them directly and it was nigh instantaneous.
Siri does as much on device processing as possible, where Google sends everything to their servers which can cause slight delays due to latency and such. I know Google is trying to modify this going forward but Apple still has the upper hand with their neural engine.
@@pambinobequeno5062 I strongly disagree with you supporting that the information I shared is not useful. Too bad your comment is useless. 😌
Either way Samsung is the true winner here Imagine having two smart-ass-istant on the same phone It's like one knows everything inside and the other knows everything on the outside
Personally because iOS is so privacy oriented, I don't think it could ever surpass Google assistant. It's just not going to be able to use certain core info to get as granular as Google can. Granted, Google downright gets alot more info that some users might not appreciate, but the up side is that it can answer super specific requests because of that. But who knows what'll happen in the future.
The commands will run faster on the iPhone due to the A15 and Nvme storage and wider system cache and that 5 core GPU, remember that the CPU itself has 4 AI accelerators that are there to accelerate such tasks quicker on the A15. However, on the other two, the limitation of the CPU architecture starts kicking in because of the lack of having their own CPU cores and a much more faster Nvme.
That is the problem with subjective analysis. Here we have a scientific test that shows Siri is faster by a good margin and as accurate with some good contextual responses. It is clear that accuracy levels are good on all devices but that, as usual, iOS is so much faster with its ML and AI. Hopefully the new 2022 chips will close that speed deficit. Bearing in mind Siri started many years behind Google Assistant it is impressive that it now leads the way.
@@andyH_England yes and no. The point is, how much do you ask to your assistant things, and what do you ask? Some of the features that Google added happened because of the competition from Bixby as well as other virtual assistants.
Most of the previously non working voice command are now working in bixby 😍

Hi Nick.
Bro plz make camera comparison of pixel 6 pro, iphone 13 pro, vivo x70 pro plus....
By the way your reviewing style of Smart phones are awesome.
Video quality is very good, buuuut the assistant capabilities of harder questions and tasks are the real game changer
interesting test. I've never seen such a comparison
Mrwhosetheboss did
@@Black-ef6xm Plenty did but not as calculated as Nick. For example he even tested their response time, it was quite a deep test.
@@nikunjkhangwal yea, that's how Apple won
I use Bixby a lot on my phone, and I tried all the commands that Bixby failed in this test, and they worked for me .
Same for me.
Samsung fan spotted😂😂😂😂
I've rarely seen tests like this before. Siri has been maligned for years, but it pretty much dominated here, plus you said it won last time too. Pretty funny it couldn't produce the founders of Apple though. 🤦🏿♂️
it can most of the time
@@amaanmohdd Samsung are better
@e93 Samsung is better
@@androidoneiu5206 ratioed
@e93 proof? Oh yeas you don’t have any proof, that same with the people that supports you
This test is fundamentally flawed. The same questions are asked multiple times but worded differently, as if that will change the outcome (turn on/off darkmode). Context awareness is not tested at all, and speed is irrelevant as it depends on the phone (and the difference is so small it doesn't matter). I've seen some much better executed tests and the result tends to be:
- Google Assistant
- Siri
- Bixby
The iphone is faster in opening apps with or without using the voice assistant so I think this comparison was heavily influenced by that.
Doing the same comparisons with different phone models/os versions would produce different results, but the assistants are still the same so I don't think the "speed" part of the video is any accurate.
Nonetheless nice video!
Same exact thought. Also it's clearly that Google Assistant is the king with more advanced and "real life talking" sentences rather than a robot who automates some actions
At least to me, Google is trying to model a "smart" assistant rather than a "virtual assistant" like Siri (which ofc works just fine it does the job, but in a different way)
@@pucciox40 Yh, I actually use Google assistant quite often, as it's as far as i know the only good tool to recognise songs by you humming/singing them.
Google is good at understanding second and third questions without telling anymore who are you talking about. That's the hardest thing to do !
Agreed
Instead of "Google what is Elon Musk's net worth". You should have asked "What is his net worth?".
This was a decent test, but there should have been more questions based around context. For example; "When did [movie] release?", "Who acted in it?", "How did it perform in the box office?", etc.
But then Google would have won because siri is crap then and slow as it has to go external. The test was manipulated
@@mikey187lfc I agree, Google would have, and should have, won this comparison. Google Assistant is the better assistant.
Being able to recognize and understand natural language and context is important for voice assistants.
The visual prompts and sound effects were helpful.
Would be interesting to see the voice assistants compared on watches. A couple years ago when I tried Bixby it seriously struggled with simple tasks like starting workouts or making calls.
Because you were using Bixby, a voice assistant that struggles with functioning properly let alone actually doing it what you tell it to do.
@@Saphman4 Bixby is able to do way more than you think. I was able to edit photos and videos thanks with bixby without touching my phone.
@@chomp5558 on Bixby? ??
@@Saphman4 with* or on? I dont know. To was definitely wrong tho
@@chomp5558 ah ok. A grammar Nazi. We're online, not in college.
Bixby wasn't that bad when it was released. It was completing internal tasks like a pro the only area where it lacks is online commands
@@bensignor1476 lol , all the questions je asked to bixby , in Real life Bixby answer theses question . This kid IS just a Apple fanboy and he IS sad caus he know how much better IS Samsung
Half the ones it failed on, worked on my S20 Ultra.
@Les Idées De Neo Absolutely and as siri is device based its obviously going to be faster. Did you see how slow it was when it had to do external tasks? He manipulated the test and yes Bixby answered them for me too.
I want this video to go viral, so much hard work has been put into it
I tested the same stuff, my Assistant on Oneplus Nord was way quicker and did some of the stuff that the pixel didn't do, like increasing brightness. Weird..
Yup.. definitely android 12 bugs
Hmm. I'm not sure what OS version you had running on the Samsung but as of now, it seems they fixed the things Bixby failed at in this video 🤔
Google assistant is on another level in the terms of talking to you as a person💪💪💪
❤️
Love your ideas of video making in differents topics.. 💐 keep it up. 👍
It's because siri is device based and not cloud based. Look how much slower siri was at googling stuff.
Samsung Bixby is best for device operations, Google is best for internet related assistance, Siri is a good medium for both.
I don’t know, i asked mine and it worked, considering i have a Filipino accent.
nick: goodbye!
Bixby: I didn't understand that
Didn't expect samsung to do so well.

With all due respect, this test makes Siri look smarter than it actually is.
Ikr 😂😂it's so dumb
He did it like this to make Siri look the best. The fact he said siri had always dominated was a joke.
With all due respect, Siri is as smart as he made it look
Asking the iPhone "Google " isn't being too fair since it isn't an Android that natively runs Google Search. I tried the same questions by just asking them directly and it was nigh instantaneous.
I can't say I likes the formats of this comparison as I don't think it really showcase the power and accuracy of the voice assistants.
The test was manipulated
You did something to ur S21 at the end bc for me all the end questions worked
Siri does as much on device processing as possible, where Google sends everything to their servers which can cause slight delays due to latency and such. I know Google is trying to modify this going forward but Apple still has the upper hand with their neural engine.
Starting from the z flip 3 onwards, All bixby inquiries will be done on the device.
Samsung says it,s 35 percent faster
This man is so detailed , I LOVE IT
I just asked Siri “Who are the founders of Apple” and I got the correct response 🤔
she found 3. then she proceeds to pronounce their names.
Yes, same
too bad this is not your video, so this information is useless 😌
@@pambinobequeno5062 I strongly disagree with you supporting that the information I shared is not useful. It shows that Siri is constantly getting updated or that there were some technical issues with that iPhone 13 Pro Max. I’m not sure how Siri didn’t respond to that question.
Too bad your comment is useless.

Such a great video ^^
Either way Samsung is the true winner here
Imagine having two smart-ass-istant on the same phone

You can also install google assistant on iOS 🤦♂️
Dr. Strange: I saw 14000605 outcomes for assistant wars.
Siri: How many did I won?
Dr. Strange: 1.
And this is the video.
You didn't ask many questions that requires the assistant to refer to the previous question, that's where google assistant is far ahead
And the fact that siri is device based not cloud based, look how slow it was when asking her to Google questions.
Interestingly enough, my Bixby assistant is able to tell me a joke and when I say goodbye, Bixby says something like that, too.

I'm my user experience ( I have both an iPhone 11pro max and a OnePlus 9 pro ) Google Assistent is WAY better than Siri
As shown in the video siri is fast in turning on and off Bluetooth and stuffs BUT she cannot do things related to what you told her before EG "delete that thing" and since I use that function very often in my everyday life Siri sucks
@@justaguyfromreddit ...I would say that "delete that stuff" has a very specific user case. I do not think I have ever used that instruction! You are right, if that is what you mainly do then Google is better, but for the average consumer who rarely use that, opening apps and turning stuff on are far more relevant and Siri does that with speed and accuracy.
