I absolutely love that he didn't want to tear up a fast back (65 had the best half a$$ fast back ever imo). Turning an old 6-cyl into this is just awesome. Great job. Cool build!
I have to agree with you on that. Dry sump has and always been seen as a superior lubrication system compared to wet sump because you can direct the oil where you want it and it’s set up for better scavenging during high G cornering
I’ve really been enjoying your more “working man” passion built vehicles. I still love the million dollar builds, but the sweat equity builds are awesome! Thank you for doing it.

Super nice......love spur-cut gears....reminds of my years racing Husqvarna dirt bikes. Ron really thought stuff out. Wheels not mags but period correct.....still looks like a Mustang.
Min where required and maxed when needed. That trans sounds like an old RC car, that is awesome! THat kind of power in a light car has to be nuts esp on a road course! That is one bad boy!
Porsche 911s have had dry-sump lubrication systems since 1964. That year the 911's oil capacity was 13 quarts in a 2.0 liter engine. Oil is pumped from crankcase to the oil tank (9 qt capacity) in the right rear quarter panel, then pumped to an external cooler then back to the crankcase. Oil level is checked with the motor at idle.
What an awsome video today, please make more like this. These type of cars are so kool, just like your friend with the 70 camaro race car love that video too. Love this channel.
Beautiful work! And it is nice to see another muscle car withh beefy wheel set-up, like that classy gray and black Cougar you had on here. They just look proper, unlike those big rim, low profile tyre set-ups.
What a sweet ‘Stang with neat build history. Respect for the dedication and patience and effort to get this to where it is today! (Guys, I’m still waiting for 4K videos - please!)

Wow what an awesome looking car. This is pretty much my dream car. This is what i want to build one day. My dream is to buy a 67 pony coupe from california and drive it along route 66 to the east coast and then ship it back to England where I can build a street rod.
I am a purist. I don't care for classics that become radical. These people never disappoint. Sure the cars are tweaked but they are bad ass and have a beautiful "stance".
I absolutely love this car, the execution, that he kept everything period-correct, and it's not a trailer queen, just about perfect. that being said, am I to understand that you guys are driving a car that has exhaust fumes coming into the cabin? If I understood that right, and you've also driven in a car that has seriously subpar brakes, I would suggest for your own safety you rethink what cars you get it.
Love guys that keep cars period correct, without the flashy Hollywood stuff. Dunno about drum brakes reining in +500 horses, but I bet they're far from stock. Very cool.
This car is awesome! Never once saw your "Oh Shit" face but the whole time you had the "Holy F this is awesome face!" I know you felt good with all the safety equipment! Love your videos dude! Always look forward to every single one!
the "Monte Carlo bar" and "export brace" are in fact, the same thing. all Mustangs and Falcons came with the left and right "hockey stick" stamped piece coming off the top of the shock towers to the firewall. But when Falcons went racing in Monte Carlo prior to the Mustang's invention, they found they needed even more support. They looked at the tube running in front of the shock towers and air cleaner that was installed on cars exported across the sea, and realized that would do the trick. One day someone will do a movie about the Falcon's attempt at Monte Carlo. Like Ford v Ferrari, it's a case of the racers versus the "suits", the Falcon crew from England got real close and then were told to shelve everything as the Mustang was going to be the new "fair haired child" at Ford. It was always about selling a product.
Dont tell Sean "ya don't need a lot of brakes" lol. That's the last thing he wants to hear! He wants more brakes less cowbell. On the bright side. At least you're further away from this dashboard.
Sean, we need a second channel or special episode where you rig up this car with camera gear and film him ripping the nearest HPDE event. Forget laptimes and that nonsense, just this dude slamming clutchless gears and hammering on the gas!!!!
I admire and love the fact he kept many things period correct- wheels, suspension, brakes, no high-tech nonsense.

It makes nothing but sense to do high-tech upgrades to older cars so that they perform better

I have never heard of a dry dump system reducing engine longevity. Gm has been using it in certain corvette models since 06 I believe.
Yeah that’s news to me. For what I’m sure it cost that’s unacceptable to have a 100 hour life.
I have to agree with you on that. Dry sump has and always been seen as a superior lubrication system compared to wet sump because you can direct the oil where you want it and it’s set up for better scavenging during high G cornering
He may be pulling way too much vacuum from the top end. Peterson makes a valve to put in the valve cover to dial in crank case vacuum.
Maybe he's using some older system of dry sump that's my only guess
@@childofodin probably some nascar style dry sump system that’s designed to work on an embankment circle track
