  • Cooking Bacon in a titanium pan
If a person in in the market for titanium cookware there are so many brands to choose from. Silverantoutdoors would not be in my top five to be honest as I did not really know much about the brand or their equipment other than the information on their website and a couple of unboxing videos on RUclips.

So after contacting them they kindly sent out a couple of items I asked for.
Ultralight 2-Piece Titanium Cookware Set 900ml Pot with 450ml Pan
Ultralight Titanium Double-Wall Coffee Cup 400ml/14 fl oz
Just to be clear I said to them that any opinion I give of their kit would be my own. They said fine, they did not even ask me to do a review.
    Here are a few observations:
The first thing I noticed was how well everything is packaged.
The next thing was that the quality of finish and build are excellent. No rough edges.
Titanium was not the usual shiny almost mirror finish. This was something a little different. The titanium finish is sandblasted. I really liked this.
Titanium is a little thicker than I am used to and does not bend easily.
The pans feel really robust. Same goes for the lid that fits both the pot and pan.
The double wall cup is a work of art. No visible joins and really well finished. It came with a titanium straw that I will never use as it is not my thing. Mrs InfoZhed has claimed the straw for herself. Did the Titanium double wall cup perform like stainless steel? Jury is out on that one. I was out in was must have been no more than 5C by the sea with a cold November breeze. To be fair nothing is going to perform outstandingly well in those conditions.

That's a decent frying pan. I find that a lid on any cooking vessel is essential to keep bugs and stuff that's blown about out of my food.

As a pot and pan set with lid it ticks a lot of boxes. I agree a lid saves fuel and keeps the bugs out. Frying pan plenty big enough for one person 👍

You did a great review and I think it is a good piece of kit. However, I think they are a bit too expensive for me. Moving forward, please continue these types of reviews. I liked the fact that you touched upon items that you have used on numerous occasions such as the table and this is evidenced by the number of videos that include those items.....suggesting to the viewer that they really are of practical value. The trouble with some content creators is that it is obvious that they are sent so much equipment that it is practically impossible to devote the time to their repeated use, in effect eroding the credibility of the review on issues such as longevity. I also like it when you try investigate ways of modding kit to make it it more usable for a range of circumstances, making it better value for money. Keep up the great work 👍

@JD-hp8qn Thank you so much for eloquently summing up exactly what I was trying to achieve. I agree Titanium kit is a little pricey and a considered purchase. Having said that as with most kit if it is well made and designed with the end user in mind then it should last a very long time. 👍

I love titanium. Have all pots and cutleries (dont know the spelling there) in it. Can take a little longer to heat up is my experience but its good alright.

@afternoobtea914 I love titanium too. There is a place for stainless steel and aluminium but for traveling with a few less grams it works for me. I find it easy to burn food using gas due to the quick heat transfer so prefer to go low and slow for most things other than boiling water. Firebox gas stove is a great companion for titanium as it spreads the heat beautifully. All hail titanium lol 👍
