Lovely new 750ml pot with bail handle from Silverantoutdoors

- First outing with my new 750ml pot with bail handle that was kindly sent to me from Silverantoutdoors. It is exceptionally well made and weighs next to nothing due to being constructed of 100% Titanium. As with all Silverant products I have tried it is exceptionally well made and a pleasure to use.
With the exception of Zebra Billy Cans just about all of my outdoor cooking pots have handles on the side. Have lost count of how many times I have had burnt fingers removing small pots from above an alcohol stove or small fire. Having the bail handle adds extra versatility to the pot. The brushed titanium finish looked wonderful sat on top of a Firebox Nano heating my lunch.
On the menu was some rice, lentils, dried sausage and onion with some spices and dried herbs. Fancy dehydrated meals are not for me partly due to the expense. I added some water to the dried ingredients when setting off to start the softening up process prior to cooking.
Had a lovely meal in the woods and can highly recommend to everyone out there to take some time out and enjoy relaxing in nature.

I've found a way of cooking rice that suits me. Bring twice as much water by volume as rice to a boil. Add rice and simmer for fifteen minutes with the lid on so as not to lose any water as steam. Take off the heat and let stand for five minutes or untill all the water has been absorbed. It will still be oiping hot. Add whatever seasoning, veg and meat at the beging.
Way better than any dehydrated meal.

Hi, place called Goblin Coombe in Cleve, Somerset. Lovely place to visit and walk around. It does get fairly busy on the main trails with dog walkers. I have been going there for a couple of years and keep finding new places to sit and relax 👍
