Now I'm reminiscing haha. I met Papa I in Munich on one of their very first tours while stationed in Germany in the Army. I have also met and talked to Papa II during the Haze tour. I consider myself to be very priveledged to have been present at this special unplugged show in Phoenix (only five dates and one is only an hour away from me...on the fucking RELEASE date of Meliora at that!) and was lucky to be one of the first to meet Papa III after his succession of Papa II. You don't have to be a devout follower of Ghost to catch on to the fact he is the same person (even though we devouts fucking love the "Papal Succession" and reveal of the new, fresh and ever younger looking Papa Emeritus) The crazy thing that I am trying to get at is after having the opportunity to meet and talk to I, II and III I noticed that each one spoke and acted differently. It's odd to think about that knowing it to be the same person. Anyways...that is all.
+Bobby Bridges When you consider he went from Mary Goore to the very calm intellectual that was the frontman for Magna Carta Cartel, it's pretty easy to see how amazing he is as an actor. I mean, when he wants a certain aesthetic, he definitely commits.
Omg I hadn't heard about Ghost when they were here but I hope and pray they come back!!! I gotta see them live like this one time before my rusted essence rots in the earth!!
I just cannot believe I missed them!! I go to Zia all the time(I live 1/2 mile from there,)to sell video games I get tired of,and they played there and I didnt know!! Grrrr,....👿
when they won a grammy,i was like who and what is ghost?so i looked em up.at first i was like ummm singer is too high pitched and music was so so...but for some reason this band is growing and growing on me.. im a total fan now...this band has very good chemistry😆
It's hilarious to me that Papa calls them Alpha and Omega, because a few years back when I was telling Omega that fans call him that, it really upset him. A LOT. He was adamant that he's not Omega, he's Quintessence! I guess he's accepted being Omega now. Gotta give the people what they want. LOL
+violetxoxox what is hilarious is that this is hipster bullshit and blind people can't see it, watered down king diamond/mercyful fate!!!!!! they can't even give KD/MF some credit due vocally and theatrically....i see though the fans up close looking like hipster sheep waiting for slaughter...
John Peisithanatos Despite the frequent comparisons, a lot of us just don't hear the King Diamond/Mercyful Fate thing in Ghost. Even Petersen himself doesn't think Ghost sounds like him at all and likens them more to Blue Öyster Cult. Personally, I got into Ghost because they weren't doing what everyone else was doing. They were bucking the trends, which is the opposite of hipster. I like them because they're entertaining and fun and different in a sea of bands that sound and look the same. It's cool if they're not your cup of tea, to each his own, but you're taking this way too seriously.
Haha that song is almost three years old. Jigolo is one of my favorite songs. It was definitely different in the sense that it was acoustic though. I think that Water was saying in an interview that is how each and every one of their songs comes into being, a solid acoustic foundation.

i can say that even if the band sounds all right (and it does) they cant make sound the song as good as the originals...just not the same voice, finally its a cover from the same band. i say this and i love ghost
