This reminds me of Season 4, there was so many different starts. With mid and jungle clearing mid wave, or mid and support clearing mid wave as carry goes to his wave. So many different starts make it fun to learn but get confusing on a casual level.
There has to be a start that works decent in any scenario for Pubs to work out. Since enhanced communication is unlikely, people need to spend more time to find strats that let your individual role play efficient, no matter what start one half of your team wants or doesnt want to do. Hope that this is understandable.
I like this. Simply because sometimes in solo you would have 3 minions while the enemy has 2 for some odd reason. This lead them to hit 3 first often leading to first blood. But now I feel like junglers are going to start tier 1 mace over t2 boots. The 5 power will really help clear the camps
I like the idea of starting red as jungler. Then rushing for mid harpies, if you can’t get any gank off in mid then pinching some xp off of solo before heading to back harpies and your speed. After that it’s base for boots, or skipping base taking back harpy in duo side and looking for a gank in duo.
Personally, my favourite jng/solo start is speed to the small harpy camp, then to blue. Still both level 2, and then jng goes to big back camps, then mid. Level 3 after a couple of minions. It's amazing
The old start is pretty balanced, the new start where the jungler goes to red gives a solo a problem, less farm at the start and will be behind till mid game vs the old start where the solo is level 2 and clearing the first wave gets them to level 3. All these starts have pros and cons but they all can easily be butchered if they mess up in lane. Such as if the mid gets ganked by the jungler or if solo can't keep up in level and has to stay under tower losing farm.
Your math doesn't add up at all. The solo gets insignificantly less farm and gets a lead through pressure and free totem. Both solo starts hit level 3 on the same - second - wave.
@@DukeSloth my bad 2nd wave* not the 1st cause by the time the solo arrives to the lane 1st and 2nd wave on one side is mixed together. I get if your solo can clear the 1st wave and have ur 2nd wave to add to the minion pressure would work. I'm saying that taking blue and doing the 1st wave will not get you level 3 and by the time their solo comes and clears both 1st and 2nd wave likely under tower or abusing blue stone he'll be ahead. Also clearing the 1st wave will likely lead ur 1st wave under or infront of their tower giving their solo a safe farm. I've seen this happen and i like the change but from experience the old start for solo is better, even in Weak3n's video about this start his solo was always slightly behind their solo and couldn't keep up the pressure even with minions.
@@lukile3296 How would the solo that comes to lane later clear the 2nd wave faster? That only happens if you go for Totem. If you clear first wave first and push you wave towards the enemy tower, the enemy solo is on the back foot. They need to clear the first wave (with tower). Then you're positioned towards their tower, have all abilities up and can start clearing the 2nd wave earlier, almost at their tower line. Therefore, you hit level 3 earlier. The xp loss is so minor that you're never "behind". And that's exactly what happened in the SPL as well when both starts were played, this is not some hypothetical situation. And if you are worried about getting ganked, you can just do the freeze deny on first wave and you'll hit level 3 at the same point of the minion wave, as you can see in game 1 from yesterday here: ruclips.net/video/tPOhmwl2b7w/видео.html
@@lukile3296 Even worse in game 2 btw, where he didn't freeze and pushed the wave instead. SWK who started blue reach level 3 SIGNIFICANTLY before King Arthur and already walked off to Totem.
