I did this with Monza and Silverstone and found my level is 38, which I know is low but this is my first proper attempt at playing on a sim-racing “rig” with absolutely zero assists (no TCS, no ABS, no racing line, manual starts, the works) so I’d like to think I get points for that. Also it’s definitely gonna be more fun for me now I’ve found I’m at this level. A decent but not overwhelming challenge with plenty of scope for personal improvement. Can’t go wrong.
Don't feel bad. The AI level this year is unbalanced. I played 101 AI level on previous games but this year the AI are so overpowered I can't even race against 90 AI. EA have to fix it
AI is ridiculous but a lot of things are atm. It feels like they used F1 2019 as a base. On as low as 80 AI, it requires a 1:30.9 quali sim time for P19. Its ridiculous to hit a 1:30.95 and get #1 lap time in Fp1 but fail the programme. In a backmarker car.
38 is not that bad if you just started with all assist off you will see you will improve a lot as you learn it traction control and the racing line is the most difficult to get right
@@arunmayer161 Cause its not the ai difficulty that's the problem it's their straight line speed 🙄. It unrealistic. I've played 100-101 ai since f1 2020 and it was alright for me, now I play it at 85 ai on 22. I'm not the best f1 player out their but I'm not terrible either. Even codemasters have acknowledged this issue and said their working on it
That's down to the setup, I think. Or to them using ERS when you might not be. I have found no issue with the straightline speed otherwise. Alternative: use a setup 1 step more towards top speed than the default one for that track.
@@Seb_Kowalke i've used very low downforce setup and the Williams still overtook me from 6 tenths behind without DRS. I've been playing codies' F1 game for multiple years mate. Its not the setup.
I have to agree with you on that. Granted I started with a Driver Career in F2 - haven't driven the F2 cars for maybe a year whenever the last game came out. And I would normally drive at 94 difficulty or so but this year I had to drop it to 70 - which I learned was way too much - but I progressively was dropping it from each session from the beginning of the season until the feature race of Monaco. Then I bumped it to 75 for Baku and I was at the front of the pack but it's also my favourite track and one I feel confident around so that may have implied bias but I think I was up on the AI by 3 or 4 tenths. It doesn't help that the F2 cars are hard to drive for me either but I thought the difficulty change was insane.
I heard a lot of people claim that the difficulty is so different between 2021 and 22. I think it has more to do with the fact we don't have good setups right now. Comparing the difficulty right now to the beginning of F1 2021, when nobody had setups, it feels quite similar.
@@Seb_Kowalke Yeah , in F1 21 setups wasn't that important I think , but now I feel the difficulty even in free practice, I think setups are now more important that before
I don't understand why there isn't an option to have a seperate difficulty set for each track. I find it mildly annoying that I have to change it for every race.
Hmmm...seen many different ways to get the best AI difficulty...I find the best experience is to do everything you said up to one shot quali and at the end of the session you should be matching your teammates time. If your faster, up the difficulty and vise versa. I'm not a fan of my team, but this process have given me some amazing career seasons battling for p9-12.
Interesting and simple. So far I have used in career mode the principle that it should be a close fight between you and your team mate in qualifying. This takes into account car development and makes it satisfying as you develop the car and both move up the grid.
I decided to try this and not just on one track cause my own level varies across the 22 tracks. my lowest was 61 at Australia and highest was 72 at Brazil. This method is great, but the variance is dependent on you as a driver and your knowledge/skill of the track you choose so here is a tip for you all: choose one of your weaker tracks for this method to have a more fun in career especially if you start at the back of the field working your way up. you can always up the ai level as you progress in your career mode. I chose to do this for every track. obviously it didn't take 5 minutes but i decided to do it to get more accuracy and it turns out my average ai level across the 22 tracks is 65,68 so i will be running 65 AI to start my career mode.

I just did a race at Bahrain and was struggling to overtake Latifi at 95 AI when I typically use 100 AI. Hopefully as you say it's an anomaly but using your tactic, I'm getting 100 AI. Was 6 tenths above 95 AI at Saudi and 4 tenths above at Australia so 100 AI feels right. Codemasters do seriously need to look at the balancing. Tracks like Bahrain, Imola, Britain, and Belgium, they are so much quicker when using the same AI level.
Yeah, the balancing is always a bit off, however I also think it's impossible to find some perfect balancing, since people have different abilities at different tracks. To me, the Bahrain AI seems quite OP. To someone else, it might seem quite tame. My preferred approach is to do testing for each individual track, and adjust the AI difficulty on that individual track level. So I might run Bahrain at 90, Jeddah at 97, Australia at 98, and Imola at 93, for example.
Update:This definitely works....I used to be 88 on Imola but this year I'm not.Using this method my difficulty is 67.Just qualified p18 for Imola with only a few tenths between the midfield runners and back markers. At Jeddah I was 90 but using this I'm 87. Definitely works.

I got P10 with Bottas on 80% AI using the "Increased top speed" setup on Saudi. Turns out my setup sucked before because I was always P18 with 60% AI, the car felt great and I thought I was just bad at the game. Guess I need to learn how to setup my car properly cause I am not very good at it.
used to beat 105 by racing casually - now having a hard time keeping up with 103 even with my setups.. have to fully focus to beat 103 rn. they're strong this year.
I think the setup meta has changed, might be worth to put more time into testing out some new stuff. Also, a drop from 105 to 103 isn't bad. You'll get used to the handling model, and you'll get back to 105, I'm sure!
@@Seb_Kowalke i spent 2 days straight just trying things for setups. Then i used my gained knowlege to create adjusted ones for each track. Maybe there is a way for a bit of improvement in the future but for now they're insane :) I also had 1 million workshop downloads on my 2021 setups lol
I'm used to 104 or 105 in f1 2020 and 2021. In this game I'm struggling at 97. Feels like a completely new game. Cars are so hard to control on corner exit. I love it but hate it at the same time. Feels like I suck at the game. I'm going to try 95 one last time before I rage quit.
Did you have setups on F1 2020 and F1 2021? Do you have setups already for F1 22? That might be the difference of 8-10 AI points. I started F1 2021 without setups on 90 AI. I finished it with setups on 104 AI. Now I'm down to 95 without setups on F1 22 - worse than F1 2021 at the end, but better than F1 2021 at the start. Setups always make a huge difference.
I remember playing 80 AI difficulty on Bahrain. Qualified P4 in a really crappy Aston Martin, Seb qualified P18. I drove that car like it was my last day on earth, I was holding up Perez who I overtook on turn 4. Held him up for so long Max and Russell ahead of us got to 30+ seconds. I defended so hard and Sainz almost took my position cuz I was so fixated on Perez. They DO NOT lose speed on corners.
Tried this on controller, and got to 89 through testing in Spain. That chicane at the end messed with me so much. Hoping I can start improving with the sim rig I plan on buying 😊 Thanks for the tip! 😊🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
The AI is very unpredictable in this game, I mean. I actually play my 2 players career mode with a friend, and we're good with a 88 ai difficulty, but in Imola is just IMPOSIBLE to play with that. There are some circuits where the AI is just broken. I think Spa is one of them too.

It’s crazy because if I can create a gap I’m good but if I’m like 2 seconds or 1.5 seconds ahead they can easily catch me which is crazy because I’m throwing the car in every corner trying to maintain a consistent pace
Is it just me or is the game a lot harder than 21? I'm used to 86 but now I'm fighting on 71. It feels like I'm losing all momentum on corner exit (TC on)

Im so lost with this ai rn, I qualify p7 in the third worst car on the grid, just to be eaten alive in the race with my teammate lapping a second quicker and the ai catching like 4 tenths on me down the straight without drs on
this doesnt work for me in myteam, i did the one shot quali and the results basically showed i should put it on 86 so i did and when i went back into myteam, my teammate got pole and i got p20
It is so difficult to set the right IA in this Game. I mean, in F1 21 I used to play at 85, but in F1 22 I had to drop it to 80. But even this way is weird, because in Qualy I'm damn slow, but in race I gain around ten places! I think I'll set it in 75 and see what happens.
Starting MyTeam as a newcomer, using controller, and only having played f1 21 for a few months, i realised pretty quickly playing on 80 AI with no assists was a dumb decision. Cheers for this video- will adjust later 🤣

I would have go and adjust it for every circuit, because Jeddah is one of my best tracks, buuut, I would test and adjust the difficulty on my best track an keep the same difficulty across all tracks for a better challenge. Last time it helped me improve and get better on tracks I normally suck at: COTA, Hungaroring, Zandvoort
Yeah, you can definitely alter your approach based on what you want. My approach shown in the video is just one that's easy for beginners to do and get a very realistic AI setting for them. :)
I did qualifiing on all the courses just today and started at 30 behause I totally had no clue how my level is. And every time I had the fastest round I added the number of sekunds I was quicker to my diffikulty and every time I was worse than place 10 I suptracted one point. So my score on the secund run is average starting point of 7 at difficulty 67 🙃 (all done with the standard setup without any changing)
Putting up on and off track effects to 100, I noticed the AI cars start having more accidents in the race,. But you have to look after your tires more . Especially on tracks that have high tire ware .
I started from 0, but I force myself to build a lead big enough to force a one-stop (change tyre compound) AND wing adjustments. I'm trying not to do that on older racetracks.
Codies may have said that, but my method is much more precise and more likely to deliver fantastic racing with the AI. A second per lap amounts to roughly a minute difference in a 100% race, roughly 30 seconds in a 50% race, and roughly 15 seconds in a 25% race. That's the difference between P1 and P12.
I just got a new wheel and I’m a bit slower because I’m still getting used to it, I knew my difficulty on my old wheel but I’m trying to find out what to run in my new wheel
i think along with loads of things wing wise 99% of set ups and people ive played against and spoke to just go with 0-0 let alone that it feels like atleast for me atm with myteam my teammate ai is vastly more op than the rest of the grid like the the settings i have everything on doesn't effect them. As of rn im seeing my teammate button get 1:15 each lap time around Monaco even after tire deg is super high when lap times should slowly drop so i still dont know what to think but im still trying to enjoy the game and keep changing my step ups each time. With controller i feel like its already hard for me lol so the ai feeling not like how i used to feel it doesn't feel right but what you know f1 being along side ea i dont expect much from them and much caring about what we say edit: just looked over one of my replays and saw that my ai teammate doesn't lose tire deg at all through the race and warming up the tires is p much easier for them than it would be for me or someone else, also it does seem like he has no battery drainage either lol
Have you found a way to calculate the difficulty on career mode (my team or driver career)? Since last year I felt that because of the R&D (or maybe not) the AI level was son inconsistent between tracks. I could win a race on 85-90 and the next track I was out on Q1. (Last year Silverston and Zandvoort were broken. This year I've found Bahren too quick and Australia a little glitchy).
What the R&D should do (and does) is that it does produce slightly different results at each track, based on how good/bad the cars are in certain areas (Downforce, Drag, Chassis, Tyre wear, Engine Power, etc). I think the way I describe it makes it more immersive, so you will really feel where your car is doing well, and where it's doing very badly.
Idk why but my normal AI i was using in F1 21 (94) is just so overpowered on the straights like even with DRS I can't keep up with them just with ERS so I don't know how to fix that

bruh picking a difficulty is so hard cuz i am fast in corners and then the ai uses literal speed hacks on the straights to take half a second off the gap i made
@@kaioeben5741 I got the Logitech G920 and so far it is great! Only thing you need to do if you get it set the max steer rotation to 380 degrees so you wont have to turn the wheel as much. Why not 360 degrees u might be wondering? Well with 380 I get less understeer for my feeling .
This is a solid idea but I think there is one major flaw. If you can run a track really well, but others badly, then you would get very different results from each of the tracks. I am really good at Australia but unbelievably horrid on Hungary for example. Those tracks will give very different ai levels. Also, i dont understand every one complaining about the difficulty of the ai or cars. Isnt this kind of the point of new games with new content? The real F1 cars changed drastically this year and are more difficult to drive, so shouldnt F1 22 be the same? Why do so many people only find games fun and good if they can dominate them? This game is fantastic but I loved 21 as well. I guess the percentage of gamers that accept a game for what it is and offers is different than those that are never happy. I mean Red dead redemption 2 took 7 years and $450 million to develop and is unbelievable game in all aspects and still has some negative reviews. I have been gaming since pong, commodore 64, atari etc. so games today and the technology is unreal compared to all of that and I love it all!
Well, if you have tracks you are very good at, and others you are very bad at, then with my method, those differences in ability will be reduced to basically zero, compared to the AI, yes. But if you are more prone to making mistakes at a certain track, i.e. less consistency at Hungary than at Australia, you will still finish worse at Hungary, since you are more likely to spin/make mistakes.

I'm going to do that trick and find my best AI level :) I do have 1 question: I recently adjusted my sensitivity on the controller so that it is easier to control, only he then puts many settings wrong, such as: throttle. I just got into sim racing with a wheel and pedals and in F1 22 right now, after only a few days of practicing without assist, my best lap times are typically around 4 seconds behind the record lap times on the online leaderboards. What AI level do you recon that could correspond to?
@@thijsssstoer332 Im doing ok, better and better. I put some effort into the trail breaking technique and I have no lockups 90% of the time. It’s those remaining 10% of the corners that still need to be polished because it ruins my consistency. But yes, it requires very good coordination between your break pedal and steering wheel. Multitasking for the brain.

Exactly. Under equal performance, you want to be a solid driver. It's ridiculous to expect being the best driver on the grid. But it's also ridiculous to be the worst driver on the grid, worse than your Latifis, Strolls, etc. So 10th is the middle (technically, the median of 10th and 11th is, but 10th is easier to explain and memorize for viewers), so hence you wanna be 10th - right in the middle, an average skill driver on the F1 grid.
Yes, because instead of one teammate in the same machinery, here you have 19 other drivers in the same machinery. Higher sample size = more reliable results.

I play my team and in seaosn one I was achieving results fair to my cars performance but come seaosn two the AI are suddenly are on another level and I’ve had to turn in form 90 down to 75, I turned adaptive AI off but idk if I’ve just suddenly got bad or if the ai get broken with a upgraded car
F1 2021 I raced on 90 about. This game I’ve had to lower it by like 40 i dont know what’s wrong lol. Like I set it to 70 on Bahrain and I lapped everyone in a 25% race so I turned it up to 85 to see if it was better and now I can’t even keep up even on 60
The handling is very different. Also, depending on your damage settings, you may have had underbody damage from running over the kerbs too much. Other than that, I can't really help you much, sorry.
I'm the same mate. F121 I'm a 90 round Bahrain but F122 I'm down to 65/70. That's even with a good setup I've got off another F1 YT channel I watch. The A.I straight line speed is too fast.
I don't understand what's going on.. F1 21 I was around 92. On f1 22 the ai is RAPID out of slow corners (or the full fraction control is slow but even medium is like ice with a controller) and I put it to 85 and in my team I got stomped. Now I have it on 77 and its hard... But this guide is telling me to put it to 96.. I done it on jeddah and it was saying 96 then went to bahrain which is meant to be really op for ai and I was still first place telling me to go 96....
I went onto Baku as I got stomped there before and it worked out to go with 80 ai rating and I got 17th at france with the worst car. So about where I wanted to be
I feel your pain. I used to play 2021 at 103 AI on tough tracks and 105 on easy ones like Baku, Austria and Mexico. In this game I'm P19 at 99 AI. I feel so shit omg. It feels like a completely different game compared to the previous few years.

And just the rocket ship speed the ai have on any sort of straight track is just ridiculous. Can't compete and when I can I'm in ultra defence mode cause I can't catch a car to save my life

This game is nonsense, i was playing perfectly at season 1 of my team at 100-101 with no problem, it was balanced, but in season 2 with better car i had to lower it down to 95 and i qualified 22th at hungary, when in the season 1 i managed to play hungary at 100 and i even qualified better on season 1,how is that possible?
I’m having the same problem mate. I’m in season 3 I started season one at 83. Now I’m at 65 struggling with the best car on the r&d. But when I this method^ I’m p1 on 65 AI. Makes no sense
I can't change ai difficulty it's stuck on adaptive and I can't turn that off or turn it up I can't find any setting with anything to do with adaptive ai at all
Hi! If you open the settings menu you will see in the top right corner an option to change "Race Style". Adaptive AI only works in the Casual race style. The settings for the AI is found in Simulation Settings. Hope this helps! :)
is your AI locked when you loaded into the session already? because that is normal. that has always been the case. if your AI is locked before that, in the settings screen, then check what "Race Style" you have set. Whatever it is, change it to "Expert" and you should be able to change the AI!
You can only do it in between sessions, at the workstation. Just go to Settings -> Simulation Settings and change the AI difficulty there. Once you load into a session, you cannot change the difficulty for that session anymore.
I thought it was just me the AI are QUICK 😭which I don’t mind it’s more challenging but Jesus having to basically drive every lap like it’s a hot lap on controller just to just barley keep up is crazy on f1 2021 I used to race at 95 now I’m down to 74 and still adjusting 😭mind you I’m playing my career in a FERRARI too
Because since all cars are equal, it would make you an average driver. You're not as good as Verstappen or Hamilton or Leclerc, but you're better than Latifi, Stroll, etc.
With the AI setting you get from this method, you'll be fighting for wins in the best car, fighting for points in a midfield car, and fighting for dear life in a backmarker car, yes.

Did you choose Newcomer as your MyTeam? because if so, you're not supposed to keep up with the top drivers. You're in a team that's just starting out. You have to work your way up.

100% agree, I have raced the last 3-4 games on high 90s difficulty, I'm currently on low 80s and still getting destroyed by the AI

This method is great, but the variance is dependent on you as a driver and your knowledge/skill of the track you choose so here is a tip for you all: choose one of your weaker tracks for this method to have a more fun in career especially if you start at the back of the field working your way up. you can always up the ai level as you progress in your career mode.
I chose to do this for every track. obviously it didn't take 5 minutes but i decided to do it to get more accuracy and it turns out my average ai level across the 22 tracks is 65,68 so i will be running 65 AI to start my career mode.

Same here, the new pre settings F1 added should have been harder.. i chose standard and got 30 AI difficulty lol and i drug them hard ..
I just did a race at Bahrain and was struggling to overtake Latifi at 95 AI when I typically use 100 AI. Hopefully as you say it's an anomaly but using your tactic, I'm getting 100 AI. Was 6 tenths above 95 AI at Saudi and 4 tenths above at Australia so 100 AI feels right.
Codemasters do seriously need to look at the balancing. Tracks like Bahrain, Imola, Britain, and Belgium, they are so much quicker when using the same AI level.
Yeah, the balancing is always a bit off, however I also think it's impossible to find some perfect balancing, since people have different abilities at different tracks. To me, the Bahrain AI seems quite OP. To someone else, it might seem quite tame. My preferred approach is to do testing for each individual track, and adjust the AI difficulty on that individual track level. So I might run Bahrain at 90, Jeddah at 97, Australia at 98, and Imola at 93, for example.
Update:This definitely works....I used to be 88 on Imola but this year I'm not.Using this method my difficulty is 67.Just qualified p18 for Imola with only a few tenths between the midfield runners and back markers.
At Jeddah I was 90 but using this I'm 87.

I was gutted being 67 on Bahrain because last year I was racing nearly 90 A.I but it is what it is until they patch it and it was still challenging at 67 lol.
I got P10 with Bottas on 80% AI using the "Increased top speed" setup on Saudi. Turns out my setup sucked before because I was always P18 with 60% AI, the car felt great and I thought I was just bad at the game. Guess I need to learn how to setup my car properly cause I am not very good at it.
You can just look in youtube the perfect balance for each gp
hop into each time trail and copy a setup from there

used to beat 105 by racing casually - now having a hard time keeping up with 103 even with my setups.. have to fully focus to beat 103 rn. they're strong this year.
I think the setup meta has changed, might be worth to put more time into testing out some new stuff. Also, a drop from 105 to 103 isn't bad. You'll get used to the handling model, and you'll get back to 105, I'm sure!
@@Seb_Kowalke i spent 2 days straight just trying things for setups. Then i used my gained knowlege to create adjusted ones for each track. Maybe there is a way for a bit of improvement in the future but for now they're insane :) I also had 1 million workshop downloads on my 2021 setups lol
I'm used to 104 or 105 in f1 2020 and 2021. In this game I'm struggling at 97. Feels like a completely new game. Cars are so hard to control on corner exit. I love it but hate it at the same time. Feels like I suck at the game. I'm going to try 95 one last time before I rage quit.
Did you have setups on F1 2020 and F1 2021? Do you have setups already for F1 22? That might be the difference of 8-10 AI points.
I started F1 2021 without setups on 90 AI. I finished it with setups on 104 AI. Now I'm down to 95 without setups on F1 22 - worse than F1 2021 at the end, but better than F1 2021 at the start. Setups always make a huge difference.

I drove that car like it was my last day on earth, I was holding up Perez who I overtook on turn 4. Held him up for so long Max and Russell ahead of us got to 30+ seconds.
I defended so hard and Sainz almost took my position cuz I was so fixated on Perez.
They DO NOT lose speed on corners.
Tried this on controller, and got to 89 through testing in Spain. That chicane at the end messed with me so much. Hoping I can start improving with the sim rig I plan on buying 😊

The AI is very unpredictable in this game, I mean.
I actually play my 2 players career mode with a friend, and we're good with a 88 ai difficulty, but in Imola is just IMPOSIBLE to play with that. There are some circuits where the AI is just broken. I think Spa is one of them too.

Im so lost with this ai rn, I qualify p7 in the third worst car on the grid, just to be eaten alive in the race with my teammate lapping a second quicker and the ai catching like 4 tenths on me down the straight without drs on
this doesnt work for me in myteam, i did the one shot quali and the results basically showed i should put it on 86 so i did and when i went back into myteam, my teammate got pole and i got p20

It is so difficult to set the right IA in this Game. I mean, in F1 21 I used to play at 85, but in F1 22 I had to drop it to 80. But even this way is weird, because in Qualy I'm damn slow, but in race I gain around ten places! I think I'll set it in 75 and see what happens.
Starting MyTeam as a newcomer, using controller, and only having played f1 21 for a few months, i realised pretty quickly playing on 80 AI with no assists was a dumb decision.

I would have go and adjust it for every circuit, because Jeddah is one of my best tracks, buuut, I would test and adjust the difficulty on my best track an keep the same difficulty across all tracks for a better challenge. Last time it helped me improve and get better on tracks I normally suck at: COTA, Hungaroring, Zandvoort
Yeah, you can definitely alter your approach based on what you want. My approach shown in the video is just one that's easy for beginners to do and get a very realistic AI setting for them. :)
I did qualifiing on all the courses just today and started at 30 behause I totally had no clue how my level is. And every time I had the fastest round I added the number of sekunds I was quicker to my diffikulty and every time I was worse than place 10 I suptracted one point. So my score on the secund run is average starting point of 7 at difficulty 67 🙃 (all done with the standard setup without any changing)
Why I should compare to P10/P11 and not for P 22 ?
Putting up on and off track effects to 100, I noticed the AI cars start having more accidents in the race,. But you have to look after your tires more . Especially on tracks that have high tire ware .

I started from 0, but I force myself to build a lead big enough to force a one-stop (change tyre compound) AND wing adjustments. I'm trying not to do that on older racetracks.
With realistic performance just set the difficulty so you are around a second of your teammates time. That’s what codies have said. Simple
Codies may have said that, but my method is much more precise and more likely to deliver fantastic racing with the AI. A second per lap amounts to roughly a minute difference in a 100% race, roughly 30 seconds in a 50% race, and roughly 15 seconds in a 25% race. That's the difference between P1 and P12.

I just got a new wheel and I’m a bit slower because I’m still getting used to it, I knew my difficulty on my old wheel but I’m trying to find out what to run in my new wheel
i think along with loads of things wing wise 99% of set ups and people ive played against and spoke to just go with 0-0 let alone that it feels like atleast for me atm with myteam my teammate ai is vastly more op than the rest of the grid like the the settings i have everything on doesn't effect them. As of rn im seeing my teammate button get 1:15 each lap time around Monaco even after tire deg is super high when lap times should slowly drop so i still dont know what to think but im still trying to enjoy the game and keep changing my step ups each time. With controller i feel like its already hard for me lol so the ai feeling not like how i used to feel it doesn't feel right but what you know f1 being along side ea i dont expect much from them and much caring about what we say
edit: just looked over one of my replays and saw that my ai teammate doesn't lose tire deg at all through the race and warming up the tires is p much easier for them than it would be for me or someone else, also it does seem like he has no battery drainage either lol

Have you found a way to calculate the difficulty on career mode (my team or driver career)? Since last year I felt that because of the R&D (or maybe not) the AI level was son inconsistent between tracks. I could win a race on 85-90 and the next track I was out on Q1. (Last year Silverston and Zandvoort were broken. This year I've found Bahren too quick and Australia a little glitchy).
What the R&D should do (and does) is that it does produce slightly different results at each track, based on how good/bad the cars are in certain areas (Downforce, Drag, Chassis, Tyre wear, Engine Power, etc). I think the way I describe it makes it more immersive, so you will really feel where your car is doing well, and where it's doing very badly.

Idk why but my normal AI i was using in F1 21 (94) is just so overpowered on the straights like even with DRS I can't keep up with them just with ERS so I don't know how to fix that

Check your settings the safety card deploys more or less depending on your settings.

what if the quali is full, the AI always make a boost of 1 second faster at the end of the quali session (usually 1 mins left)

@@kaioeben5741 I got the Logitech G920 and so far it is great! Only thing you need to do if you get it set the max steer rotation to 380 degrees so you wont have to turn the wheel as much. Why not 360 degrees u might be wondering? Well with 380 I get less understeer for my feeling .
This is a solid idea but I think there is one major flaw. If you can run a track really well, but others badly, then you would get very different results from each of the tracks. I am really good at Australia but unbelievably horrid on Hungary for example. Those tracks will give very different ai levels.
Also, i dont understand every one complaining about the difficulty of the ai or cars. Isnt this kind of the point of new games with new content? The real F1 cars changed drastically this year and are more difficult to drive, so shouldnt F1 22 be the same? Why do so many people only find games fun and good if they can dominate them? This game is fantastic but I loved 21 as well. I guess the percentage of gamers that accept a game for what it is and offers is different than those that are never happy. I mean Red dead redemption 2 took 7 years and $450 million to develop and is unbelievable game in all aspects and still has some negative reviews. I have been gaming since pong, commodore 64, atari etc. so games today and the technology is unreal compared to all of that and I love it all!
Well, if you have tracks you are very good at, and others you are very bad at, then with my method, those differences in ability will be reduced to basically zero, compared to the AI, yes. But if you are more prone to making mistakes at a certain track, i.e. less consistency at Hungary than at Australia, you will still finish worse at Hungary, since you are more likely to spin/make mistakes.

I do have 1 question: I recently adjusted my sensitivity on the controller so that it is easier to control, only he then puts many settings wrong, such as: throttle.
And when I start a race they overtake me so super fast while I'm pretty much the same in the race itself.

I just got into sim racing with a wheel and pedals and in F1 22 right now, after only a few days of practicing without assist, my best lap times are typically around 4 seconds behind the record lap times on the online leaderboards. What AI level do you recon that could correspond to?
4 seconds behind top leaderboard times would correspond roughly to 75-80 if you can keep up those times consistently.
How are you doing on abs/ locking? I just can get it to work for me without abs
@@thijsssstoer332 Im doing ok, better and better. I put some effort into the trail breaking technique and I have no lockups 90% of the time. It’s those remaining 10% of the corners that still need to be polished because it ruins my consistency.
But yes, it requires very good coordination between your break pedal and steering wheel. Multitasking for the brain.

Exactly. Under equal performance, you want to be a solid driver. It's ridiculous to expect being the best driver on the grid. But it's also ridiculous to be the worst driver on the grid, worse than your Latifis, Strolls, etc. So 10th is the middle (technically, the median of 10th and 11th is, but 10th is easier to explain and memorize for viewers), so hence you wanna be 10th - right in the middle, an average skill driver on the F1 grid.

Yes, because instead of one teammate in the same machinery, here you have 19 other drivers in the same machinery. Higher sample size = more reliable results.

This video works for whatever assists you use. Just use the same assists in this test as you do in your MyTeam/Driver Career save.
So apparently i went frm 75-78 in F1 20 to 56-60 on f1 23
I play my team and in seaosn one I was achieving results fair to my cars performance but come seaosn two the AI are suddenly are on another level and I’ve had to turn in form 90 down to 75, I turned adaptive AI off but idk if I’ve just suddenly got bad or if the ai get broken with a upgraded car

F1 2021 I raced on 90 about. This game I’ve had to lower it by like 40 i dont know what’s wrong lol. Like I set it to 70 on Bahrain and I lapped everyone in a 25% race so I turned it up to 85 to see if it was better and now I can’t even keep up even on 60
The handling is very different. Also, depending on your damage settings, you may have had underbody damage from running over the kerbs too much. Other than that, I can't really help you much, sorry.

They have to improve the AI system, at 77% I won with a 20 second lead and at 80% I came in 15th place.
I don't understand what's going on.. F1 21 I was around 92. On f1 22 the ai is RAPID out of slow corners (or the full fraction control is slow but even medium is like ice with a controller) and I put it to 85 and in my team I got stomped. Now I have it on 77 and its hard... But this guide is telling me to put it to 96.. I done it on jeddah and it was saying 96 then went to bahrain which is meant to be really op for ai and I was still first place telling me to go 96....
I went onto Baku as I got stomped there before and it worked out to go with 80 ai rating and I got 17th at france with the worst car. So about where I wanted to be
I feel your pain. I used to play 2021 at 103 AI on tough tracks and 105 on easy ones like Baku, Austria and Mexico. In this game I'm P19 at 99 AI. I feel so shit omg. It feels like a completely different game compared to the previous few years.

And just the rocket ship speed the ai have on any sort of straight track is just ridiculous. Can't compete and when I can I'm in ultra defence mode cause I can't catch a car to save my life

This game is nonsense, i was playing perfectly at season 1 of my team at 100-101 with no problem, it was balanced, but in season 2 with better car i had to lower it down to 95 and i qualified 22th at hungary, when in the season 1 i managed to play hungary at 100 and i even qualified better on season 1,how is that possible?

I can't change ai difficulty it's stuck on adaptive and I can't turn that off or turn it up I can't find any setting with anything to do with adaptive ai at all
Hi! If you open the settings menu you will see in the top right corner an option to change "Race Style". Adaptive AI only works in the Casual race style. The settings for the AI is found in Simulation Settings. Hope this helps! :)

My fricken AI is LOCKED...even when I put it on expert. You should be able to change ANYTHING on custom!
is your AI locked when you loaded into the session already? because that is normal. that has always been the case. if your AI is locked before that, in the settings screen, then check what "Race Style" you have set. Whatever it is, change it to "Expert" and you should be able to change the AI!

how to change difficulty in career f1 2022?
You can only do it in between sessions, at the workstation. Just go to Settings -> Simulation Settings and change the AI difficulty there. Once you load into a session, you cannot change the difficulty for that session anymore.

Because since all cars are equal, it would make you an average driver. You're not as good as Verstappen or Hamilton or Leclerc, but you're better than Latifi, Stroll, etc.

With the AI setting you get from this method, you'll be fighting for wins in the best car, fighting for points in a midfield car, and fighting for dear life in a backmarker car, yes.

Did you choose Newcomer as your MyTeam? because if so, you're not supposed to keep up with the top drivers. You're in a team that's just starting out. You have to work your way up.
