    That exhaust is awesome but it really needs cams in order to take advantage of the pipe size. The WSBK bikes have a lot of motor work in them.

      Yes correct, but also not to mention this is not an actual world super bike exhuast at all not even close, the wsbk akra has cast titanium bolt on individual oval manifolds for the headers to attach to. Also not to mention the wsbk exhaust is a completely different routing and must also have installed the special deeper oil pan that moves the pan to the right side of the motor and headers to the left this exhaust in the video is the super stock class exhaust bikes that essentially have stock engines for the most part, thinner head gaskets and a bunch of little tips and tricks to get the most out of them while staying inside the rules, but this is a super stock setup not WSBK

      It needs a complete engine blueprint in order to take advantage of the large super bike exhaust and he also needs the WSBK H2O radiator and oil cooler because if you’re going to tumble down the rabbit hole of adding RS parts to your bike, you need to do all of it or not at all

      Then you see toprak at mugello training with a r1m stock 8seg slower than the sbk one .. skills and practice makes more difference than expending Xs amount of money in accessories 😊.

      Rider skill would be more of a deciding factor in a race between an R1 vs. R1M around a track. How many people are even skilled enough to extract the tiny bit of performance out of the R1M over the standard R1? A pro rider on a R6 would keep up with an average rider on an R1M. The difference between the two is negligible. I'd say you're better off buying the base R1 and modifying it with the extra money you saved over the R1M.

    The cams would be worth it with either exhaust really well done sir this is actually my dream bike was planning on buying one this year but my wife got diagnosed with cancer 2 days before Mother’s Day and the money for my dream bike went to my wife no question worth it I figure out a way to get my dream bike but she is more important never even hesitated where the money needed to go my wife and kids is exactly where it need to go even though we talked about me saving money for the bike and I found one then we went to her appointment and things changed. Awesome vids as always thank you for sharing 👊🏻🤙🏼

    Motomillions had an R1M and R1 with the same Akro WSBK SS Spec Exhaust and got 198HP on both on the dyno. Only difference is had sprint air filters and WSBK Velocity stacks. At least the two were consistent with same mods.

    You can get the GYTR ECU and wire harness and tune it to high test fuel and it will be 205hp at the wheel.

    The wsbk exhaust is probably worth it all supporting mods. Vstacks Wheel bearings filter etc. If your wanting an extra 2-5 whp.

    There is a RUclips video on an R1 race bike and changing the head on it from what the team manager said gains a tremendous amount of horsepower so I can see that exhaust been better given its diameter

      It is a great looking bike but the v4 is not tall person friendly like the other person said on top of the heat factor that bounces off that bike and the maintenance will kill you but it is nice looking I just like more well rounded bike and I’ll talk the other pluses from the r1 m and lose a little of the looks to the v4

    You pretty much summed it up Chris, this pipe is designed to flow 230+ horsepower. Which you just can’t reach without major engine work or a turbo.. is it worth the money ? - for the road No but you are paying for the R+D that went into producing it, against the limited numbers they’ll produce.. Maybe you should get some super aggressive cams for drag racing and see if your pipe holds it back..!!

      Still be interesting to see how much flow it can handle before it becomes “ the restriction” and the bigger headers become an advantage, WSB motors spend the bulk of their life flat out - so maybe the extra flow helps where’as on the road you need a bit of midrange to make it rideable, hence the compromise, then again when you produce an engine putting out 200+ HP but then have to electronically limit it to stop it looping itself into the scenery - how much power do you really need on the road…( TYRES ARE GETTING VERY EXPENSIVE..!!! ) .😂

      @@ianmurray3820 diameter of headers ,mide pipe,and silencer is designen for optimal flux (gas volume at diferents speeds of flux, flux waves and linear speeds on every conduct and control the exhaust back presure... obviously more diámetro tubos is better for big and high speeds fluxes ...

    It’s a great looking bike coming from a guy who doesn’t own one. I must admit I like 650ibs M 1000 with all the carbon fiber. Not even a BMW fan but he’s got me wanting that fine machine over everything else.

    As I watched tons of videos. I truly believe, having you blue up my exhaust. Honestly, I think if anyone who gets an exhaust SHOULD go to a tuner for that.     Hard to judge. I seen these make 198 with motomillion although feel that dyno is a tad generous. Need stacks and cams to gain the most from it. In think they run around 220 with kit ecu here in BSB but still if u can afford it why not.

      Because that’s the stock oil cooler for streetbike!!! it’s not meant for that exhaust!!!! The teams in WSBK and BSB are running an oversize radiator /oil cooler by H2O. You cant go adding RS parts to a streetbike unless you plan to do all of it. Its all or none, no in between. That exhaust is going to bake the oil and decrease HP

      @@ricktaylor3748 I really doubt you would be able to do that! Have you not seen an R1 in person stripped of its bodywork? The ONLY possible thing you could do besides buying the proper RS radiator/oil cooler is to fabricate 2 small aluminum brackets to mount the oil cooler about a half inch to inch away from the headers...BUT then you will have the problem of the stock bodywork not fitting properly and have to trim it with a Dremel or something or just mount race track bodywork

      Yamaha is one of the poorest. designed bikes on the market, they''re extremely hard to work on.
      That's why there's not many professional Yamaha drag racing teams.

      Making sure not to touch it with your hands, thats a major thing, even if you think your hands are perfectly clean the oils from your skin will cause it to do goofy stuff. Other than that he just runs it on the dyno until it does it. Most people dont have that luxury and ride them, thus getting other crud, bug guts and what not along the way that help mess the coloring up.

    sounds like yamaha is ripping their customers off, nice bike but not double. with that exhaust maybe head porting with cams would net you 200-205. I think i would heat shield the oil cooler or move it

      How do you figure? They never claim the bike has more power . It does exactly what they claim which is the semi active ohlins fork and shock and. Carbon fiber body. They charge around 8-9k which is fair when you look at what carbon fiber bodywork costs as well as the suspension. It’s not a deal, but it’s far from double and you are paying for what you get . If it’s worth it , it’s worth it .

      2015 R1 in the UK is £10k- £11k
      2015 R1M is £11k- £12k ( Source- Autotrader)
      unless theres is £1000's in difference of servicing, id go for an R1M for the looks

      I think the face lifted R1's (2022+) have a different intake system or something. They seem to make more power once tuned. You can check Chris's other videos and see it.

      Gotta agree. Not only is it still fast, but it's pretty average for what the other liter bikes dyno at the wheels on a factory tune.

    Anyone spending this kind of $$$ on exhaust or 30k for a bike seriously needs their head examined. I have owned an R1 & traded for a older k3 Gsx R750 w/standard free flowing full Yoshi exh. & I guarantee I’m having more fun & satisfying wins & rides on the streets of Tx than anyone else!doesn’t take much money to do so.✌🏼
