I just bought myself this exact bike, same color and all today for my 35th birthday. I went in to order a Cbr1000 and found out none of the local dealers can order bikes. They get whatever the manufactures send them. I have had many 450 dirt bikes, a few CBRs and even a Hayabusa. I just wanted a smallish peppy bike that I could fit on my reese hitch carrier on my pickup when we go to the mtns. This bike fits the bill. You cant use the liter bike power in the curves in the mountains and when I sat on the GSX8R I fell in love. It’s so damn comfortable. I can’t wait to pick it up tomorrow evening.

Twins have high restrictions in 1st and 2nd because the trq of the twin....Super Dukes 1390 is the same. You don't really need to decrease the restrictions in those gears as it will just be more wheelie prone and less manageable, IMO.

    • @gpd456

I didn't go the flash route as I a friend had issues with a company he used, not a good tune plus there's no hp restrictions or top speed but like this 8R 1,2,3 have restrictions, timing was removed I believe, don't care as the bike doesn't need any more grunt in those gears it's already retarded plus I use it on the track and usable power is key .... smooth is fast as we like to say.

Looks way better. Sounds amazing too. I wouldn't mind one. 1000cc is just for bragging. I bet this would be perfectly fine on the street.

Of course not, you only need to make sure the rear is strapped down so the tire doesn't slip.

These style bikes are not designed to be 1/4 mile burners. You buy this if you want a comfortable sport bike for the street that is fun to ride. This is actually a pretty premium version of that style of bike.

Or maybe the fans are just getting less shy, thanks to teams like yours.

Same engine but I am not certain of any tune differences from the factory. I want to flash my 8S but the cash for a new exhaust and velocity stacks is a bit much right now.
