It was a great pleasure to be there witnessing the record run in person. Tim was such a polite guy. So much fun test ride the new GSX-8R and offroading the Vstrom-800. Now I also become an owner of GSX-R 600 since the event, hope to see you guys next year at Suzuki Live!
You are absolutely amazing ! , what a rider. I nearly bought this bike last year but ended up with the new Duke 390. Hopfully will get the new GSX-8R in 2025.
Great vid & bike. Congrats on the lap record. Sterling job. The GSX8R is a bit of a dark horse & a really underrated package. Needs a fair bit of work to get it up to speed but it responds really well to the upgrades.
What lap record are you referring to? Supertwins are in the 1:35’s. Minitwins are in the 1:37’s but that’s not really relevant because minitwins are 130cc less, limited to 72bhp and cost less than the bolt ons fitted to this…?
At least here in the states any Gxsr over 10yrs old is seriously clapped out already from neglected maintenance and heavy abuse on the daily..riders rev bombing while wheeling for miles on end well over triple digit speeds..that 2k bike would need a minimum of 5k worth of repairs if not much more..the people that bought Gxsr bikes rode them hard and put them away wet..maybe find a basement or museum bike in fair shape..
There's another 3-4 horsepower at the top end of RPM with an airbox swap by a company in the States. Factory is about 77 hp, it makes 93 on the same dyno after tuning, with no falling off at top revs. Spending a lot of time at high revs, this would make even more difference. Not really sure what all they did to the intake on this bike. Would also like to see Blackstone Tech (BST) make carbon fiber wheels for the 8R.
Fully uncorked, it's made as much as 88-90 horsepower at the wheel as there's been a lot of tuning going on in the States. That's a solid 100 horsepower at crank.
I think the gearing is just a touch off. For street riding like a normal person, it's a great bike. But when you crank down on that throttle, it seems like it's running out of RPM before it's running out of HP/TQ.

What an achievement on a brilliant bike, well in Tim nicely done! Congrats to everyone involved 👍👍
Really enjoyed watching the onboard fast lap.
Damned impressive! Love that you chose Suzuki 8r to do it too. Well done!!!!!

Man you're riding the hell out of that bike! 🤌
This was solid, through and through. Well done.
This was an awesome series 👏
Loving the series, thank you 💪💪

I'm off to tade in my SV650 😂
He said he was trying to beat the minitwin lap record. He didn't say he was going to do it on a minitwin.
Great job! Really interesting series of videos, thanks!
great work. Good to follow.
Well bloody done.
Well done mate
Think I’d still rather have an early 2000’s GSXR750 for under £2k though.

@@agentcovertyea no seriously. Any gsxr for under 6k probably isn’t worth it. And even those are gunna be old and need maintenance.
Awesome effort that mate 💪🏻🏍️👍🏻👍🏻
Brilliant that 👏
Well in !!
You had to really wrestle that girl round the track if you watch that back in slow motion wow well done
Nice work! one question clips-ons can be usable for every days or it is in contact with every thing ?

That is mighty impressive.Just goes to show it’s not all about bhp.
Very impressive.. love to see you beating people in fast group with 85bhp lol 😂
95 👌🏻😉
@@mociczyczki he said 95 was the limit for supertwins not the bike he's just rode
@@youtubed9695 maybe i dont watch whole 😉👌🏻

To get rid of the ABS did you just pull the fuses?
I believe you turn the sensor around so it's still connected
Watch part two.... bypassed completely.
@@alm4132 I watched all 3 parts, didn't catch how it was done.
@@266226 Changed the lines to braided directly to the calipers, installed plugs in the ABS ports.
What rear suspension did you upgrade to i cant find any links for a fully adjustable suspension
Bitubo front and rear. Same set that it going on my bike. www.bitubo.com/Bitubo/cms/ENG/content/529-new-applications-for-suzuki-gsx-8r.html
No ecu mods?
Damn good going considering you're 15hp down and it's not a race bike (yet)👍🏻
What lap record.
1,33.6 was our best twin lap, testing in March
Whats the Tire size are they running?
120/70 - 180/55
That's the stock size anyway.
Why is the picture quality so bad?
Who is the rider? It's not Danny Kent, is it..?
Tim Neave

When you get the ecu flashed with new exhaust and velocity stacks, it gets better in the higher RPMs
100% pass on the gsx8
A 20 year old GSXR 600 would smoke this pile of junk.
But there's not enough water in Lake Superior to dilute your saltiness.
And a 25 year old 1000 could beat that 600. And you couldn't beat this gsx8r laptime on either... So what does that have to do with anything?
And an old F-15 jet could beat all of them.
