    In the replies you can easily tell who is, or has been a fast biker, and who hasn’t. You did a great ride there, it takes a lot of courage and much more skill than many will understand. Focus on riding your own envelope, treat the Porsches and fast cars just as mobile chicanes. Every fast biker knows that fast cars are for the people who are much too frightened to ride a fast bike, and deep in their souls the car drivers know it as well. You can’t fall off a Porsche, all you really have to do is press the gas pedal, if anything goes wrong, then chassis, protective body shell, air bags, seats, belts, electronic gizmos all work to keep you safe. You don’t agree ? - then go and put leathers and helmet on, straddle a fast bike, pull the visor down and twist the throttle, you’ll never be lonelier and more exposed, closer to your demise than in those moments. The wind is screaming and buffeting around you, your nostrils smell every exhaust and tyre slip in front, you feel the sunlight and shade, the bike flexing as you carve and lean at crazy angles with tyres on the edge of grip, - but you have a helmet and racing leathers. You have to be brave. Respect guy, - go safely. You’ve made an old fast bike lunatic feeling a little younger tonight.

    I love watching Misha throw cars around the Nordschleife, but POV on a sportbike is a totally different animal, great riding! Getting there is a bucket list thing for me, is traffic on course a problem typically? You for sure handled it well, though I could feel the hesitation analyzing if someone you came up on knew you were there or not. And it seems like you could get caught out easily when they finally moved aside, you gave it a little extra gas, but not too much to blow the corner. That section when you finally had some clear road has to feel amazing.
    Finally, that black Porsche at the end was for sure fast. Having that much extra contact patch makes a difference on a road course like this it would seem. Great lap for you though!

Leaning and taking the corners at those speeds even though he didn't have R11, V02 or Supercorsa tires, he had Diablo Rosso Corsa 4 which are good and have good grip but they are not the top top tires for this kind of racing yet he was still going insane.

What I say to them is always the same, go take a sharp corner at 120kmh and they will, fail, go wide and crash then say it's the tires or some bs.

    The trouble with bikes at the ring (and issues arising for the rider as a result) is that it's way way easier to drive a car fast than to ride a bike fast. Most bikers are slow around the ring, like dogshit slow, could be outlapped by a stock '05 Type R. This is a problem when you are a fast rider, and you have to constantly deal with everyone elses preconceived ideas, and surprise that a two-wheeler is absolutely fucking shifting!
    This was a good lap. Patient, smooth, making sure you have shown yourself in their mirrors. I'm impressed!

    • @ringerbart
      @ringerbart 10 дней назад +1

      Some semi good bikers are so far in their zone thinking they are fast and cannot be overtaken. So they don't look in their mirrors and the result is they endanger themselves but also the person overtaking.
      Same applies to some car drivers but it has become better over the years.
      Your Nordschleife mindset needs to be: there's always someone faster coming so I need to look in the mirror as much if not more as looking forward.

    From what I could see on your bike, you topped out at about 150mph on some sections. While that is very fast (most people really don't have a true idea just how fast that is, especially on a bike), 150 mph is not near the top speed for some bikes on other tracks. I have gone much faster than that on other tracks. BUT on this narrow track and with all those cars and their unpredictable drivers drifting from side to side on the track, 150 mph is sketchy as hell. You are an amazing rider and your confidence in your bike and in yourself is very apparent with how you handled the track AND the traffic!

    That was a crazy ride, looked like an adrenaline rush from start to finish, having to share tarmac with all those fast cars. Well done, or as we say in my country, “RESPECT AND MANNERS”. 🙌

    God these guys are absolutely insane. There's just no words. You'd have to be completely crazy in order to ride this track this hard. If I had the opportunity I think I'd do it exactly once, just to say I did. But here they are, proving us all cowards with every lap. Mad props.

    PLEASE, we need insta 360 shots of the Nordschleife.
    I think you would be first one to EVER do it with a motorcycle, so there is great potential there.
