The YES Greats is a high performing all-mountain/freestyle snowboard that packs in lots of tech and is capable of ripping the whole mountain. Starting with a true twin shape, cam-rock profile, and mid flex, complemented by an asymmetrical sidecut and "midbite" additional conact points this board offers stability and grip on variable terrain while still being fun for jibbing and butters. I really enjoyed the versatility this board offers and believe this would be a great option for the rider who wants to ride it all, and spends a good amount of time in the park. The blend of stability and flex makes this board really fun, and the grip the midbite gives you was a cool bonus as well, let me know what you think of the YES Greats snowboard in the comments. Thanks for watching. Спорт

Do you think my 195 lbs is ok for 154 cm at higher speeds? Cheers. Thank you !
you have so much style riding, love the art on the board (can't really imagine how it feels just by watching)
Awesome. Been hanging for your review on this board. Thank you.
Awesome review again tj! I was riding my k2 happy hour when we met u guys a couple weekends ago in keystone a51. Needed a more all mountain vs my yes jackpot. But really want to try the greats!
First and i love your guys channel so much it has helped me so much!
Same here
Thank you so much! I was thinking about buying this board for the 19-20 season.
Love the red base, bindings, and mitts combo!
Patrick Pan I like how those bindings paired on that board too
another great review guys ! AWESOME !
Thai Winter Sports hey thanks Napa
Hey Kevin and TJ. Great videos. I wonder if it would be possible when you review boards if you would consider giving comparable boards to consider. Ie. for this board would you compare it to the RIDE Helix or GNU Headspace. just for an example.
Keep up the great work.
Clean and clear board review. Thanks for the insight as always man. When are you gonna start demoing the 2020 fleet?
Rob Gams thanks Rob! You’ll start seeing some 2020 boards sprinkle in soon
Yup
How about a review on the Yes Standard next?
The spring break twin is another great asym board too. Downside to the twin is that it really needs to be broken in before you take it to the park. That board looked a little soft.
The Dingo I was able to get some nice flex out of those rockered tips
I rode the greats at killington yesterday and loved it. Can you recommend a few similar boards to try?
Yes... More TJ board reviews 🙌🏾
Great review! Thumbs up
Can you also do a review on Gnu Hyperkyarve?
10x man. Shred on!
BIG YES. fan here, and I am looking at the YES. Greats board for 2021. How tall are you, and what size board were you riding in this video?
Nice, always wanted to try this board. They def peaked years ago with the top sheets though!
Great board, aesthetically not the greatest
Been riding this board all season and it is awesome...
Completely upped my carving game..
This thing is built like a tank and can handle abuse 😂
Plus I get tons of compliments cuz of its unique shape/look-
Love it!... thanks YES.
👍👌🥳
what about the base? I saw reviews where it is described as too soft for sintered base
Trying to define which size to buy. I can fit a 154 or 156. Am keen for all mountain but also want to practice switch and butters.
"Great" review as always 👍😎
Hello, I plan to buy the Yes the Greats, but Im hesitating about the ideal size 156 vs 159. I heard it is also a bit knida like volume shifted board.. so its better to downsize 2-3cm than the normal? I ride generally on a 157-158W board (with 28,5cm boot size) Based on that I should go for the 156, but my weight is a little bit above the specs chart. Im actually 205lbs, but my weight is fairly moving up and down normally between 190-200lbs. What do you think should I go for the 159? Im just a little bit worry, I dont like to have a slow edge-flat-edge feeling. More smooth egde to edge, but also dont want an undersized board either :) what is your opinion?
TJ, you know the board is wicked. You looked at home on it..
Looking to purchase a new pair of snowboard boots.....any advice on the Burton Ruler BOA 2? Thanks
TJ - Yes The Greats or a GNU Gnuru? Have been offered both at the same price. I'm not a park rider, mostly groomers and powder when it comes in.
Review of the Endeavor lineup. Specifically the Archetype and B.O.D. please :)
review the PYL and Weston snowboards!
5’11” 180 lbs 10.5 boot size. should i go with 154 or 156?
the topsheet is CLASS on this board
I agree
Apparently not overly durable to binding abrasion though.
@@harryforks6708 my binding broke :(
Hi TJ and your teem.
So, yes or prototype 2?
What is the difference? What would you prefer?
Proto is way better in the powder, yes for slopes
Why do you rank the Yes Greats higher than the Yes Standard? They seem to have pretty comparable features, I’m just curious. Which one has more pop for jumps & side hits?
I would like to try this board
Yes greats or proto type 2 for carving and freestyle?
Just picked up the Greats to bring more freestyle into my otherwise freeride riding. Looking at bindings. TJ - do you run softer boots and bindings on your freestyle boards or keep your set up the same from board to board.
He rides union stratas alot
Hey Kevin, how did you film TJ that well?
Great review on an awesome board! Do you believe asym sidecuts perform as different in powder as in hard pack?
It's not very noticeable in powder
@@BoardArchive thanks
How does this board compare to the Nitro Diablo, which has a dedicated heel side and power pods similar to the additional contact points on this board?
I think the Diablo had slightly elongated tip/tail to make less of a chore to ride in pow. It's since been rebooted as the Nitro Fury. Both the Diablo and Fury are pretty narrow though, not one for those with big feet.
Do a review on the capita outerspace living 2020 pleaseeeee
Ya!!
Great video. How is it on powder?
Did you buy the greats? I'm buying the 154 from this year I loved the graphics and the camber/ dual side cut
Tj Escarate yo! Nah this was a demo but I really enjoyed it. It’s one I would consider buying. The 2019 graphics are sickk
Im stoked you put a video up of the greats!! I demoed the greats when I was up in keystone and it was totally a all mountain slayer ! Love the new content
I have it and love it!🤤
@@BoardArchive hello. Do you think my 195 lbs is too much for a 154 Greats at higher speed? Thank you. Merry Christmas!
I am about to buy an new board ( as a second one ) for freestyle. Rigth now i am riding the Ultra mountain twin Jones. I have been riding (flight attendant burton , custom flying v burton ) . I am an aggresive rider, i can go hard on my turns knowing what i am doing at all , but i am not a pro rider ( i can land 180 and 360 pretty easy). I am looking more for progression on jumps and switch, i dont like jibing at all. More or less charging hard and send it big. Rigth now i am a bit confused ( i am in 2 boards ).
1. Gnu Space Case 2019.
AND
2. YES GREATS 2019.
unfortunately i didnt have to chanse to ride them on demos cause i broke 2 back bones on the end of this season. So i would appriciate if anyone could help me.
Thank you for your time
George .
Is there anyone out there riding this in 159 with Size 13US boots, who can tell me if it's possible to lay-over a euro-carve without washing out?
Hi, would you compare Yes to DOA, or Westmark Frank April?
Closer to the DOA out of those two. I think the K2 afterblack and Salomon Huckknife are two others that are pretty comparable
going to Nikseko Japan again this winter any recommend pure powder board for large feet(US12)?
CNCutCake Gentemstick XY
Korua shapes
@@BoardArchive trying to get hold of one. kind of hard.
do the spring break twin next please :)
good idea as it is not present in Capita lineup for the next season
finroddd asymulator joins the chat
Comparable boards to it?
is this the board to get for those long days where you just don't want to use all your energy to brake? I'm now torn between this and the DOA.
I have a 2018 Capita DOA and it's such an amazing all around freestyle mountain board! Crazy Pop, turning, carving and such a nice flex
That nose press 😍
Solid for sure
Hey guys thanks for the review. I want to buy this board but I’m torn between 151 and 154 what do you think? I’m 5‘11 160lbs and I ride park mostly. Jibs and jumps. Would love your feedback
Mas In before TJ replies I can share my exp. I am pretty sure 151 for what you say. I own 154 at 6’1 and 185 lbs and it rides to me like a regular all mount freestyle 157 board .
I was on the 154 that day, that's what I'd recommend as we have fairly similar height/weight. The 151 would also work but would feel a little less stable and more jibby/maneuverable
@@BoardArchive thanks for the responses guys :) I ordered both boards now and will go with the one i feel better on
@@matthiasmoj4318 what size you end up on ? I'm on a 154
What size do you normally try to get the boards you try out?
Andyguy it varies significantly depending on the style of board. But generally 153-155 is ideal for me
i love your vids to i’m also a snowboarder
Me to
oh really? i’m watching this cuz i scooter
What size did he ride?
How is the Greats compare with Gnu Head Space?
Very Similar, I think the Greats is a bit more buttery than that Headspace having those rockered tips. The Magnetraction on the Headspace also helps more outside of the park.
Board Archive Thanks TJ!
How well did you find this board for jibbing?
Shay Aron not a total jib stick but it is a lot of fun on rails
@@BoardArchive thanks for the quick reply ! I am actually looking for a park board, more jib oriented that would hold well on jumps and high speed..at least as much as it can ..considered the ultrafear but saw that alot of people claimed it aint too stable at high speeds...would ypu have any other recommdations to check out? Greetings from IL
What size did you test out?
Anthony Hum the 154
What stances do you guys ride?
15, -15
I have last years it’s great apart from the colour. But the board feels so good
Cool
What size were you riding?
That's the 154 ... you can tell by the different animal graphics ...I think its 151 tiger cub 154 owl 156 gorilla 159 elephant
This was the 154
Litty
This board is sold out everywhere damnit!
Sanctionsnow.com has a 151 on sale
@@rozrider3513 thanks for the heads up, but I was looking for a 154.
Will you come snowboarf in Romania??
Let s give this as many likes as possible for Kevin to see it :)
They should
Best snowboard I've ever ridden! omo_mko
Greats vs Space Case? 🤔
Greats by a mile
Cool.. I was just wondering. I have the 2019 Greats. I know Kevin really likes the Gnu Space Case...
hi i was first to like the vid
carrie click got em
I was so stoked about 2019-2020 model of Yes Greats that I have bought it despite the controversial reviews. Anyway I found that it is greatly overestimated regrettably!
The proportions of the deck are wrong and even 151cm is too wide. I have size 10 boots and it is just too wide. This ruins the whole thing IMO. It requires efforts to get it on edge and the turn initiation is anything but intuitive and quick. The over-the-middle-point stiffness also is totally not in place here.
It totally sucks in soft snow! If you let the pressure off the back foot just for a second , the nose sinks immediately even in 10cm of soft snow. I never would bring this thing in powder day! Probably the worst board for soft snow that I have ever ridden. It is good only for carving and hard snow. It needs total overhaul - the width needs to be reduces for the whole length of the board, the camber zone needs to be reduced as well and more rocker to be added at both nose and tail. The topsheet scratches very easily event by plastic bindings. The base is too soft for sintered but that apples for all Yes boards.
I like only the edge technology, it really works. Sorry for the negative review but I am completely honest here.
Please, be very careful with this deck, you could make a mistake getting it!
