My favorite thing about you is that you always try new things! Learning what works and what doesn’t, and not being super discouraged when things don’t work the way you wanted- it’s just really inspiring :)
🙏🏻✨I’m very proficient at messing up:)
@@Shmoxd
That's why we love you! 😊
I HAVE THE SAME EMBROIDERED BIRDS AND FLOWERS THAT YOU BOUGHT FOR THE SLEEVES 😲
It's literally behind me and I am from Europe, so it makes all this even more fascinating for me. I am curious where my grandma got this and whether they came from the same place 🧐
Oh! I wonder i ended up trying to bleach that piece and ruined it!😅
Those were gorgeous.
And what a weird coincidence, indeed!
@@Shmoxd Apparently the pieces I have are 30 years old and were bought from a souvenir shop of a Chinese exhibition in France and were brought to Eastern Europe to our hometown.
So I guess they were mass produced? 🤷🏻♀️
You tried to experiment and create something interesting and beautiful. Mistakes are bound to happen and I love how you do not shy away from them and embrace them on your channel. Keep up doing what you love ❤
This is a fun video. Your jacket turned out really cool. I love how mixed media it is.
Tip: watercolor fabric medium will make your paint permanent on the fabric and the colors will be more intense instead of washed out. Golden has good one.
It's so cool how you stick to the subjects you like but always refreshing your techniques and trying new stuff. I just love this channel :)
Your embroidery style is really awesome:) it reminds me of woodblock printing & linocarve
You always make me wanna get creative and go thrifting. I hit up a bunch of Charity Shops and get some stuff and then it fails and I cry and throw it all away.
ahhhh I know that cry...
Absolutely absolutely LOVEEEE this skull & flowers!
Thank youuu!!:):)
The only thing I would have don't different would be cutting around the design before sewing it to the jacket. Either that, or watercolor it so that it eventually merged with the color of the jacket. But that's just my taste. I love that you upcycle, and that you share these things with us!
thanks, I also need to let go of rigidity in my art, this is a good lesson on how
“Letting go” is not one of my strong points haha
DUDE
The end result looks so cool! I love how dinamyc your editing is, cant wait to binge watch your videos :D
Fabric dressing… I’d never heard of it and I felt highly amused thinking you’ve made an upcycled fabric salad. I’m weird 😅
Hahaha 🥗 making me hungry
Your videos always inspire me to get back in touch with my creative side! Thank you so much!
I love the idea of making cheap thrifted pieces more durable with fabric wax
Dude when u started layering and layering and layering and then embroidering, trimming, shaping, incorporating into the jacket, elevating elevating like..... you rock my socks off every time.
You should definitely try the watercolour method but with fabric dye because watercolours isn't color fast.
oooo could be v v fun:)
@@Shmoxd I'd also be intrigued to see what would happen if you cut round the flower/skull shape and painted the background navy blue - the same colour as your jacket. I wonder if it might then look like you'd embroidered the _actual_ jacket!
Anyhoo, this is a year on so you may not even have it anymore! Lovely project and thanks for sharing it with us... 💐💀💐
Love the embroidery videos 😍
wellll Ive been loving embrodering.. so works out well:)
I'm just watching this...
and Oh God!!!
Exquisite 👌!! another awesome project
As I said the word rigidity to kinda help you out you said it to I love this I'm definitely going to a thrist store soo
You always inspire me to create love your work man! Beautiful 🤩
God i love your crap!!!
I am a huge fan of skulls, would love to own this!!
Already liked the video cause I know it's gonna be awesome ✨️
you sweetie:):):)
Dude this is amazing! Wowwwww your stuff is brilliant
Thanks s'much:)
I enjoyed this, so here’s a comment for the engagement, more people should see this 😊
Thank you🤍🤍
Dude, you should totally check out 3D punch needling, it’d be awesome to se what you create b/t house renovation
ooooooooo sounds intriguing
This jacket is EVERYTHING you absolutely killed this!!
Thank youuuuu🤍✨
Your embroidery skills are top drawer!
That's a lovely result! My only critique would be that I'd have used watered-down acrylic paint instead of watercolour, because how it is now you can never wash the jacket 😅 but I suppose it's safe to dry clean
true true! low key am stoked to see how it fades... but might have to do some touch ups with acrylic
i like the idea of art that changes, fades or even vanishes over time. how colors change is really interesting, i always wanted to dye with natural/plant dyes that fade with each wash to see what'll happen
@@Shmoxd the layering will look really cool, and it can't be duplicated!
@@kfogo7459 turmeric, cinnamon, cayenne, purple sweet potatoes, butterfly pea flower, and beets are all super easy to do. Just wrap your garment in elastics like a normal tie-dye and boil a large pot of water, then toss the spice/vegetable for the color you want in and boil it until its as vibrant as you like. You may need to experiment with how much plant matter you need to get the right tone, but you can always plop it back in if you like.
@@ghostinameatsuit4654 thanks for the overview, i somehow thought it would be a lot more to keep in mind. i have some of the vegetables you mentioned at home anyway, so i could start right away. hopefully i'll have time to experiment with it on the weekend :) do you have a favorite food to dye with and which color does it make?
The word you were looking for with cubism may be impressionism, at least that's what it reminds me of, looks awesome!
Love the concept!
You are just so adorable and creative 🥰
Delightful
god damn, dude! it's so awesome
🙏🏻🙏🏻✨
I can't wait to see the sleeves!
Your voice is so calming to me, it helps relax my anxious mind plus your art is so beautiful :)
you should try india ink. i have a good like 10 colors. they look really good on the canvas. specially when using water. but i would soak the canvas first. then drop the ink on instead of using a brush. to make your image. i think youll enjoy this,
I love this idea 😍 that looks so cool ✨
A couple things you should know- Super 77 yellows a lot and may come through your canvas. Those watercolors are probably not lightfast so they'll fade pretty fast. If anyone decides to make anything like this to sell you'd want to use archival stuff just cause it will last a lot longer.
You are the artist I wish I could be.
this looks so cool, as always with your works!
I’m not into skulls, creepy! But this joint is dope, I think I’d look even better on a denim jacket. Happy crafting.
this is fascinating, really want to try this out myself
I love all of your content, thank you so much for being such an inspiration
I love the stuff that you make
This man loves his skulls.
I'm a sucker for em..
This came out so welll I wanna see how the sleeves turn out (btw it’s an op shop)
Ahhhh i ended up ruining one of the sleeve embroideries cuase i bleached it tooo long
nice stuff as always 😊😯
🙏🏻🙏🏻
I didn't even watch the video yet. I just came here to give it the obligatory "like" because I know it's going to be brilliant. ♡
🤍🤍🤍✨
Looks so dope😍 i need to do some embroidery soon
Haaaaaave fin:)
Fun* but also fins could be cool ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@Shmoxd 😂😂 it would, imagine the amount of people i could scare away at the beach
I like watching you trying things out and just following your process. it's really inspiring. thank you!
Wellll thank you:) I enjoy the process
BTW I rung the bell years ago and I was not notified about your last two videos and this only showed up on my homepage on 2/5 /22 so if toothpick vid. isn't getting love, it is probably a stupid RUclips algorithm thing., don't worry all us OG subs still love you
This came out so good!
Awesome
This is friggen sweet
love you man
😍
ily toooo
Anotherrr oneee🔥
Very cool. At first, I was like: 'A skull? Not again...', but you really made it work 👍
Have you tried placing it on different colored sweaters/jackets though? I think, it might look even better on a brown or dark green maybe.
Ohhh that color combo would gooood:) I’ll have to test it out
jus crushing over your painted nails. don't mind me.
super coool
YOURE GREAT wtfffffff
where do I get one of those maracas sprays 🤣
Gotta special order em..
So what happens if the water color patch needs washed though??
Im excited to see how it fades:)
@@Shmoxd 😁 I'm wondering if the alcohol would make the pigments more permanent. It would be cool to see how it fades.
Hey schmoxd! do you know the difference between a hormone and an enzyme? you can’t hear an enzyme
🥰
Oh check czech artist Bohumil Kubista he did paintings of skulls in cubism style.
Oooo yup:)
Future waxing endeavors: Mixing Jojoba Oil in with the melted wax before application prevents it from cracking later on...
Incrível!!!
Your from UTAH??!!
FIRSTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
Damnit
that's great cause I have two arms. 😌
shmoxd please read this: DO NOT stitch that piece down on the jacket and wash it, the watercolors will be re-activated and wash out 😅 pls hang it somewhere where it can't get ruined by water
the shot of your legs on the table, chefs kiss mwah

So wait... I'm still waiting for the sleeves???
The wax, salt, and alcohol probably aren't working because you're using such low quality watercolors. Cheap water colors are often made with chalky pigments and thicker binders so it's not going to behave like better quality watercolors.
Oooo! Thank you🤍✨ I’ll have to try it again.
@@Shmoxd do you have a PO box? I can make you a dot card with the ones I have.
You making a very good works, and your ideas is perfect, but i don’t know why but is mising something in your videos, i would watch all of them, but is hard for you to create some dope video, who would drag into it
upcycle??? verb reuse (discarded objects or material) in such a way as to create a product of higher quality or value than the original.
Your newer videos seem a lot less authentic to me. I feel like you’re just uploading to fulfill your sponsor contracts and not actually into the process of making and sharing art as much as you used to. Maybe something to think about
Impressionism?
