- Inspired by fanart following the release of The Force Awakens, this short features Kylo Ren and Rey further down the path towards the light and the dark, as they meet for what may be their last encounter.

This film never gets old, I love it. There are rumors about Rey and Kylo having a big emotional duel in Episode IX, and according to it they end up giving up and crying and holding each other, so it would be awesome if something like this happened.

You were partially correct.
@@mcolottiboy the ending it's very alike than the actual one, but I enjoy more the fight issue in TROS in which Ben deflects against Rey her enormous dark side, making her fall in the own fear of it, instead of taking on himself that fear like he did in TFA (that's a little a Luke and Vader matter but whatever)
@@GuerrillaOne honestly this reminds me of the expanded universe story of Mara Jade and Luke Skywalker and how they got together! Honestly if they went with this route I think the movies actually would have been much better!

Actually if you think about it I enjoy a reference like that even though I'm agnostic because Star Wars always drew upon mythology and using symbolism like that is great filmmaking.

This is brilliant, I'd always seen fan art and dark side Rey and redeemed Kylo, but the fact that you guys were able to bring that to life is really amazing. I loved every second of this video. Also I love the fact that you guys used Ultrasabers in the video.

OMG this is very BEAUTIFUL! The lightsaber effects were great, the acting was amazing and the music was put together really well. I loved how at the end Rey didn’t kill him, leaving the audience thinking about the backstory they must have had for them to embrace each other at the end. Really beautiful, you got me almost in tears :’)

First time seeing this. Kinda reminds me of the "I love you Bastilla" moment in Kotor. Good job to the makers of this fan made. Keep them coming.
I expected some bs but this was surprisingly pretty dam good. Choreography was smooth with great effects. Force abilities looked badass. And the acting made me forget this is fan made. 👏👏👏👏👏 well done to the actor/actress and also to the team behind the camera.

better ending than what we got. Rey going dark for a while and then turning light again already happened with Luke in the EU so its not out of nowhere.

Smart way to exploit a weakness in its design. Especially after everyone, including Obi Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) said the hilt was pointless. That moment is one of many reasons
It's amazing how this shows, you don't need cheesy dialogue to make a good fight scene.
My prediction for Episode VIII is that Kylo and Rey have a switcheroo. Kylo turns to the light and Rey turns to the dark side. We already know the dark side pulls at Rey, and that the light is definitely pulling Kylo. Perhaps when he's about to kill his mom he turns back, then she gets killed anyway? Then in episode IX, Kylo has a similar entrance that Luke does in Return of The Jedi. While Luke deals with Snoke, Rey and Kylo fight, in which Rey comes back to the light. Luke is killed, then they both defeat Snoke, Kylo possibly sacrificing himself to save Rey? I don't know, that's just my theory. But anyways, 10/10 on this! I can seriously see this happening!

Hey there! Thank you for the Subscribe! And we're not familiar with Hitfilm? We used Adobe Premiere for the Editing program, and all the effects were done inside After Effects. A shout out to Andrew, from Videocopilot.net who literally taught us everything we know.

Fantastic!!!! Really enjoyed it!!!! I usually do not get into Star Wars fan films that are mainly focused strictly on a light saber battle, but this one was definitely different. Though there there was no dialogue, a strong story was absolutely being conveyed in their facial expressions, how they fought and all. I really enjoyed it!
We do not see too many stories where the evil ones get converted. This is a nice story. And she is strong too.

This is after Rey succumbs to the Dark Side and after Kylo's redemption. If you read some of the accompanying novels and analyze the movie, Rey has dark side tendencies. while Kylo Ren/Ben is always being pulled to the light.
