Great video! I also have some good news for you if you don't already know. There was a post from one of the developers named Tragic (I think) that came out the same day as your review. You seemed to have nailed several of the key concerns for not only yourself but the community as a whole. Here are the key takeaways that I saw: 1. Traits - he said that, while they will not remove the cap, they are open to changing the number of points that you get. So, no commitment to a specific amount, but there does seem to be a willingness to move the needle. They also acknowledged that there is an issue where some traits will not be taken because some are just flat out much better and there are too few points to make some traits worth investing in and they plan to try to fix that. 2, Once you have capped your trait points, the books were supposed to continue to give XP and also give scrap. The fact that they don't is a bug they will be fixing. 3. Scrap drops and respec costs are being evaluated. The rewards from chests and duplicate trinkets are also being evaluated to make them feel more impactful 4. Cost to convert engrams to archetypes is very likely being reduced. 5. The game as it stands is supposed to be a base line to work from. They are planning on adding more biomes, puzzles, gear, secrets and bosses. He even teased their may even be "other ways to play" but nothing more specific. Thanks again for doing these great evaluations after thoroughly exploring what these games have to offer.
Wait, are you saying that the game is so good that the one bad thing about it is that there isn’t more of it, which makes it slightly less good but it can’t be because it’s too good to have more?….. what did I just say…..
There weren't any cap for Traits in Remnant from the Ashes and with 50+ traits so the max level was more around 1000 when you got every Traits to level 20. That said, they just shift the long term progression from Traits to Relic Fragments. And the trait cap can be increase with DLCs.
hey man, just went in onto your channel after a night our drinking. As an old time viewer from your old DOS 2 videos, It's nice seeing everything going well for you. Hope I get as much good info on BG3 as I did from the DOS 2 videos
As someone who loved the first remnant, they did a fantastic job on the sequel. Everything feels bigger and badder.. absolutely worth it imo but I definitely do agree about the trait system.. capping it at such a low degree kinda ruins it because I'm still finding trait points but cant invest..
I will say that Remnant 1 had better enemies across the board, which is ultimately where the main gameplay mechanics are at. Also the pacing of acquiring things such as scrap, the weapons you get, the mods you get, alternative boss kills, the amount of traits you get, unique traits you get, and other loot like variety of armor, was better. I do like the size of Remnant 2's maps though (Remnant 1 was small and crowded), and the aesthetic exploration is nice. But I think, everywhere I see, people are completely downplaying what Remnant 1 did by making it seem like Remnant 2 is better in every manner. Which is just straight up not true.

100% agree about only having 3 worlds. If they had 5 worlds, with 3 randomly being selected for your campaign, it would really open up the gameplay and boost replayability. Also, I did handler + summoner and found that the health loss from the summoner abilities was easily mitigated by the healing abilities of the dog.
I think the cap is pretty perfectly set in my opinion, its not to much or to less, and not to mention you get two traits included with Archetypes that don't require trait points, maybe I'm a minority in the argument but I do think having it set to 60 forces you to be more mindful and creative with what works and what doesn't for your playstyle
@copingflower1909 yeah i dont want another borderlands 2 situation where the balance is great at level 50 but once they increase the level cap they make every enemy an annoying bullet sponge and makes certain builds just unusable
Some of my favorites in remnant is the secrets it has on levels and they crank it to 10x this time! I love the part where you show a new player the location and do the mechanics for them and get the item for them. You are gonna get a crouch spam emote which is a staple remnant "thank you, bro!"
8:10 you don't have to be lvl 10 with the first archetype to equip the second. You only need to find 10 trait points to be able to equip the second archetype.
@@SnakeTheBoss13 Maybe bcs I already spent 60 hours in this game and equipped my second archetype when my main was only lvl 7. Edit: Sry, I reread your comment. I misunderstood. Yeah, the tutorial is broken.
My biggest annoyance is the 80% damage reduction cap. On normal and veteran it’s fine but on my apocalypse run 80% doesn’t even prevent one shots This is real annoying for my build focused around doing very little damage but being gigatank melee, nightmare was already pushing it but apocalypse is just one shot after one shot even with resistances and damage reduction capped
There are other ways to scale effective health like shields and increasing HP. Besides, the build variety lets you create builds with high damage resistance and near infinite regeneration so without one shots it can become impossible to die when built correctly.
I feel with the trait system it makes playing harder difficulties like nightmare and above too painful with very little upside. In Remnant 1 you were always growing your character. Harder difficulties meant more exp = more traits. This in no way felt like cheesing. Having played Rem2 online I see the community is either modding super characters or using the same build. The 50% hp tank build. This is because playing your own build is underpowered and highly frustrating. More trait points and more traits and this game would have way more replay value. Also Remnant 1 had more elements. Bosses had clear weaknesses like fire damage etc not just weak spots. It's a shame this element has been mainly removed as changing loadouts in Remnant 1 to counter difficult bosses was fun and rewarding.
The tweeted that the cap isn't set in stone and I had the same wish as you where the traits unlocked from classes are just innate so you don't have to use points on them.
Note: excess trait books are only useless because theyre bugged. They should be providing scrap and xp if youre trait-maxed. Just thought i would mention because ive seen many complaints about it besides here
The trait cap is such a weird choice, I feel like it defeats the whole premise of what made the first game so replayable. Seeing people being done with progression after day 1 made me hold off for now. Hope it gets addressed because the gameplay otherwise looks fun.
my guess is, it may be DLC content (sicne apparently there is 3 DLCs planned already, and the world selectin wheel being half empty does tell me they planned on adding more worlds)
There are 3 DLCs coming if you didn't settle for the bargain version. There are already 5 worlds, Yeasha, N'erud, Losomn, Root-Earth and Labyrinth. There will be 1 or 2 more world zones most likely. Were you expecting post apocalyptic Starfield?
same they are all so unique that by the end I was surprised there wasn't more. However, there's supposed to be 3 new dlcs coming out later that shoudl fix that issue if they're the same as they were in the first one
I actually thought the 60 trait points felt like plenty but I do think more wouldn't hurt I totally dislike the one shot potential of so many enemies in the late game on higher difficulties. Makes the damage reduction feel so unimportant the further into the game I got. Still it's been overall an amazing experience and a insane amount of fun. Just maybe not as repayable as they market it as in my opinion
for someone like me who doesn't have a lot of time, i was actually ok with the 3 worlds only, they're really well fleshed out and love their overall story (especially n'erud ). i didn't really play the first game though so for me it was an all new experience. Incredible game, probably goty for me, and great review, congrats!
some godamn beautiful scenery in this game graphics, is it optimized as well as it could be though? I'm getting those vibes from it. I remember how well far cry 5 was made optimized so well it was piss easy to run in 4k hdr
One small thing is that you don't need your main archetype to be level 10 to put a second archetype in. When I got to level 5/6 as the handler I was able to slot in my medic archetype, so I guess you are able to do it when you get halfway and have the archetype available
It's when you get 10 knowledge tomes, my second archetype was available after I maxed at lvl 10 with my first one, because I didn't reach 10 yet. Do not confuse trait points with traits themselves. It's a confusing system tbh.
I gotta Say you are my go to reviewer. You do such a great job and are honest. I was on the fence about this because of some of the negatives but im going to give it go after this video. Great job
Between Campaign mode and Adventure mode, the thing I've been liking a lot about Remnant is the secrets and puzzles. There's this eureka moment the game is perfect at creating when you've gone back and solved a puzzle by reading contextual clues not just from notes and books, but also from environments as well. I can live with just being on survivor or veteran, the difficulty isn't why I like the game. It's all the hidden secrets just waiting to be found.
after playing about 100 hours now i think the trait cap isn’t so bad at all. you don’t need more stamina or aoe size on every build. i think it’s a great way to try out new playstyles
Great review, you have captured my exact experience. I adored remnant 1 and really love the improvements in 2. But I feel like it is missing 1 whole biome in terms of zone variety. That being said two worlds are “skins” of worlds in first game. So I wonder if its not the same feeling for players who haven’t played the first. Regardless, I absolutely love this game and likely will get the DLC
Yep, I knew it definitely buying it ASAP, there's two things that convinced me: your in depth analysis and Doggo companion, said to my mate the other day games need more Animal companions, to which he replied "how would that work in Gran Turismo?" Um good point 😅 imagine how games would be with a doggo option? Resident Evil would certainly be interesting with it and The Witcher, I'm waffling again arnt I? Anyway yep, this games a must buy, I'm very excited for it, cheers again 🤘
I love how much more viable a solo build is in this version! I gave up on Remnant 1, when I couldn't progress past the first couple areas as a solo player. Been playing as a handler for the past 20+ hours and love the hell out of this game now. The exploration is so much fun. I currently have a series of upgrades/perks/etc that not only gives me a constant slow regen of health, I also get health back anytime I get hit and I maxed out the lifesteal trait, so shooting any enemies with automatic weapons, basically heals me.
I really agree with your points on the traits, the first game had a better system. That being said, we will be getting a new world(s) with the DLC and I’m almost certain they will increase the trait cap with the DLC. The first game had really awesome DLC, it was better than the base game imo so I have high hopes
AA games have really been good lately. They have actual good gameplay and less over the top cost on cut scenes. I passed part 1 but R2 is making me wana go back. This game kicks buttox.
If I understand this correctly there is both more and less content in Remnant 2. Because on release of the first one there where 4 worlds, 3 of those with a adventure mode with 2 Bosses with different kill rewards. On earth was the tree and the dragon, in the dessert was the Impaled monster and the undying king and in the forest was the Wolf with the puzzle and the totem dude. Later they patched shortly before the Corsus dlc came out an adventure mode for corsus and they added a different way you could kill the butcher. THis might come in the next dlc. I really enjoyed the short adventure maps because you could blast though them in an hour.
How do you have two clips of being infected with Root rot? The bazooker guys are the only enemies in the game that have ever inflicted that debuff on me, and thankfully they're extremely rare.
As far as the ending, did you watch the post credit cutscene? If you skipped the credits you also skip this as well. That scene radically changes the ending of the base game to the point that people who watched it and people who didn’t will have very different knowledge of where it left off. Also, I thought the variations were really unique. On separate runs just in Losumn I went up against the Red Prince and the Council in one run, The two kings in another, the Nightweaver as the world boss in a third with an asylum storyline. It really keeps replays fresh. Also the absurd amount of complex secrets hidden in the world kept me guessing nonstop. It’s tough to pull off a world like that where it feels like anything could happen. Really enjoyed it.
Hey guys, so I’m one of those players that like to research games a good bit before I buy them and I’m super on the fence on whether to get this game or not so any advice would help a ton! I’ve never played a souls like game before. I’m also the type of player that doesn’t always like to wait for all my friends to get online to grind the game so I was curious if this game would be possible to beat solo for a newbie or if I’ll have to wait till after I’ve gained loads of experience from gaming with my usual friend group. Lastly, if any of you think this game would be worth it, which version do you recommend between the standard, deluxe and ultimate? I don’t fully understand how much the armour that’s given helps and if it’s a better investment for the dlc since you get it free in the future with ultimate instead of buying them all separately when they come out. Sorry for the long comment and thanks in advance!
Recently, every time you publish another "after 100%" review I have visions of you sobbing out your review of Baldur's Gate 3 after 100% in a year-and-a-half after 1259 hours of gameplay. I'm guessing that's a title that's going to get a regular review first and 100% much further down the road. Your stamina for finishing games COMPLETELY is amazing btw.
The plan right now is to do a first impressions video if I don't get a review copy, an initial review after beating the game once either way, and the 100% much later since it's gonna take probably a few months
First game in a very long time that kept me entertained and invested. I certainly hope they expand upon it and, agreeably, it definitely needs more worlds to explore, trait system, and frankly, all systems need an overhaul. Thx ror your efforts. Aesir -
I’ve got roughly 40 hours in the game. The only glitch i’ve been able to consistently recreate is that when I kill the final boss, and skip the credits, I get a “Network Disconnected” followed by getting kicked to the menu. It’s so far happened every time I beat him.
Great video! Very interesting and informative. I really liked the first game so i was wondering if this one was gonna be any good. Judging by your review, I think I'll like it alot. I like the systems they've added and all the different guns they have look super cool. I never really cared for being tied to a certain armor set for your build in the first game. So I'm glad that's gone, but I do feel like armor needs to have more than just some basic stats. That being said, at least some of the armor looks badass lol. Your character had on some sweet looking stuff. So thats a good thing. I always kinda expected that they'd get this game right. I think my expectations were right. Cause it seems pretty awesome.
The amount of biomes aside, one of my biggest complaints is the random difficulty spikes. The final boss is a good example as string of mini-bosses in the final area felt like they were from dark souls while the final boss was ripped from friggen sekiro.
Very nice detailed review and congratz on 100%ing game agree with pretty much everything you said my only complaints is low ammount of scrap and resources we earn or find on survivor difficulty as economy in the sequel is kinda rough (especially in early game) and I wish I could reroll adventures from ANY checkpoint i wanted not just from ward13 - going through all those loading screens countless of times was such a time waster and it kinda killed my urge to do last few achievements required for platinum I hope dlc will give us another few hours of joy and would be nice to see in their next addition at least one biome from 1st game like Corsus or Rhom Anyway one of best games this year and great sequel to already amazing first Remnant for sure!
24:00 Did you play any of the later areas on Deck? There have been reports that the frame rate gets significantly worse to the point that it’s unplayable, so it’d be nice to hear that someone’s found settings to make the whole game work before I buy it.
If you use Proton experimental and use the Intel up scaling in game you can get 30 fps on low but there will be drops to low 20’s. It’s “playable” but I don’t think it’s very enjoyable on the Deck. If that’s the only platform you have to play the game on, I would pass.
@@darkdaysahead01Honestly, I could handle a minimum of 20 fps if the entire game’s playable on Deck, but hardly any reviews go past the first areas, and I haven’t heard of anyone beating the whole campaign, so I’m hesitant. I’ve heard there are areas that dip below 20, so I’m holding off on word that there are settings where that doesn’t occur
@@amyyost7022 the patch that was released yesterday really helped the fps on the deck. it runs 30-40 in most areas and fights. the hub area is the most taxing and will drop into the 20's occasionally when going around talking to people or going into a menu. the low settings and resolution do make seeing enemies against the background harder though. I think i would have a hard time playing this solely on the Deck. Especially at higher difficulties. But on the easiest setting it might not be too bad.
I think how much or little time you spend on this game hardly depends on your skill and how fast you want to go through it. I’m actually glad that I’m bad at it. From the ashes was my first souls like game. And I’m taking my time so I’m pretty sure I won’t go under 150 hours to get everything.
Good review for the most part. I will say that i do think that his comparisons with the first game's worlds are a bit strange considering he's almost definitely looking at 2 through the lens of the complete edition of From the Ashes. Its only fair to take into account that this is just the base game. We havent gotten the dlc yet which will almost assuredly come with new worlds and gamemodes, as well as archetypes and the like.
This is a great review. Remnant has Outriders vibes for me. I liked Outriders AFTER New Horizons. That game was "Diablo with guns", and I would agree. Remnant seems like fun. I'm relieved it's only 40 hours to do everything. I don't have the patience for games that take 60-100 hours, and then you endgame forever.
I would be very impressed if you can do everything in this game within 40 hours. The reason for this is you need to do two hardcore runs, one on vet, one on nightmare, each world boss has at least two kills (requiring two playthroughs AT A MINIMUM), you need to beat the game on Apocalypse difficulty for some unlocks. If you can manage an minimum 6 playthroughs, while getting every alt kill for all bosses, every side area for the rewards in order to do everything within 40 hours you are an amazing gamer, and got super lucky on world generation
Regarding that certain mystery game... Wow. They really screwed the pooch on that one. I mean, they really had to go out of their way to really jack it up as much as they did (outside of the major greed factor, which absolutely impacts the experience). Their follow-up made it worse. Figuratively *and* literally. Again, wow. You think you know what the worst can be... and then you've got the overachiever patrol stepping in. But hey, that's why Bobby gets the big bucks.
100% a game is a good trait to have to justify your opinions and overall experience. This being said, although I do agree with many of the points, having this gameplay in the background is criminal 21:34 . That should not be the expectation and experience going into it.
nicely done im in the same boat as you i have done everything found everything the game has to offer untill more is found obviously i even did it on hardcore apocalypse just to make sure i was not missing anything and i just want more
One ick I have with this game is that it would be nice that I could swap to a different load out in an instant as I have different builds with different rings and amulets. But it sounds like a low percentile player base issue as most people do not have multiple builds yet to swap to, but as the game gets older, I believe they should try to at least implement it.
Yeah, the same biome thing is a bummer. But it was the same in vanilla Remnent: From The Ashes. But, DLC adding more biomes definitely helped with the sameness of it all.
R2 has the same amount of biomes as the first. (not counting Reisum, the DLC). Earth, Rhom, Corsus and Yaesha. R2 has Losomn, Yeasha, N'Erud and Root Earth. Also the Labirynth is way bigger.
Post-100% reviews should be industry-standard! Imagine the credibility gaming journalism would have if that was the case. Devs should start introducing a trophy called 'Worthy', and you unlock it once you've completed what the devs deem to be the ideal average playthrough. Its what they'd consider to be the RRP value. So completing story mode once and nothing else isn't considered 'Complete', so you're not Worthy of claiming to have had the full experience. Then like the Twitter / IG blue ticks, on gaming websites, reviewers could have a little W logo next to their name where it credits who did the review: if they've unlocked the Worthy trophy/achievement then you know they've experienced a fair amount of side objectives / multiplayer / exploration etc.. It would require so much goodwill cooperation between game devs, journalists and players, so ofc it wouldn't work but it'd be nice.
currently stuck at venom on apoc difficulty, constantly getting 1 shotted and the fight takes forever. overall i have had a ton of fun and really enjoyed all the secrets to find and interesting puzzles to figure out. Apoc is overtuned for enemy damage doesnt matter how much armor you wear its all about getting the attack patterns down.
Rtx 3080, a small ryzen 5 3500, 16gb at 3200hz, had to lower graphs a bit and turn off dlss to avoid chopiness, i turn down fov to .85, now i play i at 80 fps regularly, at high smob counts and explosion i see drops to 60fps its acceptable to me, GAME IS EARLY ACCESS I KNEW What TO EXPECT, i play destiny 2 this game is not perfect but so far seems solid recommended.
Core traits should always be linked to your player level... Just my 2 cents, they could easily do that by making your core traits level up with your class traits
I wish to clarify you don't need a class to be level 10 to multiclass that's just when the game tells you that you can. I equipped a secondary class while my handler(first class) was only level five.
Some sort of indicator for being attacked from behind you would be a big bonus. Forever getting swiped in the back from nowhere. Maybe a better indicator for being at low health aswell as i have had a fair few deaths from when i didn’t even realised i’d taken that much damage. Fix this stupid negative traits glitch. Honestly though i have hammered this game over the last few days. I finally got my Archon sub class but i’m so burnt out from getting it i’m going to have to take a few days off
For anyone who is watching this now, you should know that they did increase the trait limit significantly.
I definitely agree with wanting a bigger trait cap, there's so many traits that feel like a must have
I think it should be 65 or 75. Just to round stuff out with the 5 free points you start with.
they have said they will change the number but they cant say what it will be
They've said they'll be adding more too the cap, next balance update is moving it to 65 points
I hated it too, and honestly modded my trait points so I could play like it was the 1st game.

Some of my favorites in remnant is the secrets it has on levels and they crank it to 10x this time! I love the part where you show a new player the location and do the mechanics for them and get the item for them. You are gonna get a crouch spam emote which is a staple remnant "thank you, bro!"
Second best gaming reviews channel on RUclips
8:10 you don't have to be lvl 10 with the first archetype to equip the second. You only need to find 10 trait points to be able to equip the second archetype.
What makes people think this is that, like myself, you only get the tutorial prompt at archetype lvl 10
On normal and veteran it’s fine but on my apocalypse run 80% doesn’t even prevent one shots
This is real annoying for my build focused around doing very little damage but being gigatank melee, nightmare was already pushing it but apocalypse is just one shot after one shot even with resistances and damage reduction capped
How do you get resistance that high? Just heavy armor ?
@@michaellombardi5831 To get Relic Fragments. Did you maxed out every RF ?
Good lord how did people max out traits in the first day?? That's wild

Really good review btw. You really hit all the points needed for me to say, yeah im buying this
My only disappointment is having so few worlds. I wanted like 5 worlds.
my guess is, it may be DLC content (sicne apparently there is 3 DLCs planned already, and the world selectin wheel being half empty does tell me they planned on adding more worlds)
For the base game, yeah, was hoping to see the dessert and bug worlds too starting off. Hope they add free dlc
@@xTHEARBITER117preordering the deluxe version promised 3 dlc within a year so I have to think they won’t be free
same they are all so unique that by the end I was surprised there wasn't more. However, there's supposed to be 3 new dlcs coming out later that shoudl fix that issue if they're the same as they were in the first one
I actually thought the 60 trait points felt like plenty but I do think more wouldn't hurt
I totally dislike the one shot potential of so many enemies in the late game on higher difficulties. Makes the damage reduction feel so unimportant the further into the game I got.
Still it's been overall an amazing experience and a insane amount of fun. Just maybe not as repayable as they market it as in my opinion
Thanks as ever for the awesome review and for continuing to disclose your sponsorships and gifts!
Seriously man you have the best gaming channel on YT. Keep it up!
I watch your channel all the time but the ad transparency in the video is what finally got me to sub. Thanks for being someone with integrity.
Bear in mind the ending has a post credits scene in which the actual ending happens!
I started to just like the game, but the more I am playing it the more I love it, actually. You summarized the negatives perfectly.
for someone like me who doesn't have a lot of time, i was actually ok with the 3 worlds only, they're really well fleshed out and love their overall story (especially n'erud ). i didn't really play the first game though so for me it was an all new experience.
Love the game. Thanks for the review.
They increased the trait cap by 5! I think it's the second time a game patch notes does exactly what you suggest (to an extent). Just magic =]
Excellent review! Also the calmness of your voice is very pleasant and relaxing.
New here haven’t finished the video but I love that you fully complete the games before reviews, definitely got a new sub.
after playing about 100 hours now i think the trait cap isn’t so bad at all. you don’t need more stamina or aoe size on every build. i think it’s a great way to try out new playstyles
Regardless, I absolutely love this game and likely will get the DLC
i rarely leave a comment but man! you're just awesome. Thank you for your time and effort and much love from Germany :)
Daily reminder the definition of 100% is included in the first two minutes of the video. While your definition may vary, it is there.
Never watched the channel before but the integrity first start was solid - subbed!
Glad there was an explanation at the beginning, I was like "HOW???"
Still pretty impressive tbh
Yep, I knew it definitely buying it ASAP, there's two things that convinced me: your in depth analysis and Doggo companion, said to my mate the other day games need more Animal companions, to which he replied "how would that work in Gran Turismo?" Um good point 😅 imagine how games would be with a doggo option? Resident Evil would certainly be interesting with it and The Witcher, I'm waffling again arnt I? Anyway yep, this games a must buy, I'm very excited for it, cheers again 🤘
I love this game and playing with random people is a blast I'm pumped to play the dlc
This is good to hear. I solo'd the first game, but it was a hell of a challenge.
It's my favourite new IP and I'm ready to dive in.
I really agree with your points on the traits, the first game had a better system. That being said, we will be getting a new world(s) with the DLC and I’m almost certain they will increase the trait cap with the DLC. The first game had really awesome DLC, it was better than the base game imo so I have high hopes
ending feels like its not an ending at all like its suppose to connect to another part
Apparently, don't upgrade your armor, because the higher level armor makes the enemies scale up to match it.
AA games have really been good lately. They have actual good gameplay and less over the top cost on cut scenes. I passed part 1 but R2 is making me wana go back. This game kicks buttox.
I agree that at the very least the Health and Endurance should not need to waste trait points
You can decide to not put trait points into them.
This is the best game this year so far for me.
Great review!
Thank you.
Zelda, Hogwarts, remnant, bg3, starfield, spiderman....This will be the best year for gaming in a very long time
@@sorboomAnd now Lies of P, the best of the lot imho
Thanks for the video. I think I'm too potato for it, but it's nice to see how genres evolve. Onward to 300k. All glory to the algorithm.
The biggest issue with performance to me is that the game only runs at an upscaled 720p on consoles and the framerate still is inconsistent.
He already said he plans to do a first impressions and then a full review in an earlier video.

I’ve got roughly 40 hours in the game. The only glitch i’ve been able to consistently recreate is that when I kill the final boss, and skip the credits, I get a “Network Disconnected” followed by getting kicked to the menu. It’s so far happened every time I beat him.
On my list. thanks for this excellent review, Mortym!
Just to update, after the recent patch you can use the second archetype as soon you can get it no need to have 10 traits point anymore.
The amount of biomes aside, one of my biggest complaints is the random difficulty spikes. The final boss is a good example as string of mini-bosses in the final area felt like they were from dark souls while the final boss was ripped from friggen sekiro.
With regards to the end of the base game, Gunfire has already announced 3 DLC's, so the end of this part isn't really the end.
Having a blast playing nightmare with the handler. Hotshot plus MP 60R is a great combo. Originally bought for PC but ended up refunding and going PS5
Why's you change platforms? Just curious
Very nice detailed review and congratz on 100%ing game
agree with pretty much everything you said
my only complaints is low ammount of scrap and resources we earn or find on survivor difficulty as economy in the sequel is kinda rough (especially in early game) and I wish I could reroll adventures from ANY checkpoint i wanted not just from ward13 - going through all those loading screens countless of times was such a time waster and it kinda killed my urge to do last few achievements required for platinum
I hope dlc will give us another few hours of joy and would be nice to see in their next addition at least one biome from 1st game like Corsus or Rhom
Anyway one of best games this year and great sequel to already amazing first Remnant for sure!
@@darkdaysahead01 Wow, I wasn’t expecting that level of improvement! I guess I can pick it up now. Thanks for the heads up!
I think how much or little time you spend on this game hardly depends on your skill and how fast you want to go through it. I’m actually glad that I’m bad at it. From the ashes was my first souls like game. And I’m taking my time so I’m pretty sure I won’t go under 150 hours to get everything.
I’m thinking of trading in Diablo 4 for this should I?
Good review for the most part. I will say that i do think that his comparisons with the first game's worlds are a bit strange considering he's almost definitely looking at 2 through the lens of the complete edition of From the Ashes. Its only fair to take into account that this is just the base game. We havent gotten the dlc yet which will almost assuredly come with new worlds and gamemodes, as well as archetypes and the like.
Man i love this game, been playing this game everyday since it came out. And the community is so helpfull💯🙏🏽

"Diablo with guns" is Borderlands.
I am surprised at how good this game is. Really fun, challenging and engaging (compared to season 1 of that Top-Down Action-RPG with wonky patches )
Don't you be talking shit about Baldur's Gate 3 and it's day 1 patch.

100% a game is a good trait to have to justify your opinions and overall experience. This being said, although I do agree with many of the points, having this gameplay in the background is criminal 21:34 . That should not be the expectation and experience going into it.
nicely done im in the same boat as you i have done everything found everything the game has to offer untill more is found obviously i even did it on hardcore apocalypse just to make sure i was not missing anything and i just want more
For what it’s worth, according to their community manager, on Reddit, they have stated that they are looking at reworking the trait cap in some way.
The Labyrinth was a pain😂
Good video mortismal
This isn't true. You just are not wearing defensive items. Look up tank builds and you can see people on apoc not taking more than 20% health per hit

edit: early access ... but still... im always impress with your 100%
will this get updates like content over time or is it like once you play till end and you are done? Is there a endgame element? Any multiplayer stuff?
Core traits should always be linked to your player level... Just my 2 cents, they could easily do that by making your core traits level up with your class traits
I wish to clarify you don't need a class to be level 10 to multiclass that's just when the game tells you that you can. I equipped a secondary class while my handler(first class) was only level five.
It's when your trait points are at 10, not your class level.
I finally got my Archon sub class but i’m so burnt out from getting it i’m going to have to take a few days off
Did you able to get the archon arch?😊
