This was a fantastic analysis of the trailer and you even went into the smallest details and possibly theories that may happen, i was waiting for a Jump scare at 8:20 but that moment was spooky 😂 I loved the little comedic nods you did at The Gold Saucer part too and those Chocobo's are definitely doing the Wark Dance 😂 Also that Cloud/Dio part looks like it could be a wrestling or dance off match and i'm excited to see what they are about to do! I think the Cruise Ship scene is a section where you don't need to be worried about being spotted and then they find a way to enter the special section with a disguise, we will have to see how things play out and i'm excited for it!
The fact that both main themes of Remake & Rebirth are focused on Cloud & Aerith is my favorite part. I always thought lots of depth was missing from their relationship before she got Sephiroth-ed in the OG and it makes me really emotional. Feels like we are getting a part of the original vision that never made the cut. I really respect Nojima and Uematsu for this special treatment of the fans.

Great breakdown! I noticed that about Cid too, it's out of character for him. However, I don't agree that he is trying to swindle them because that changes his character even more than making him nice. Someone said my thought already, but I believe Aerith touched him like Red XIII at the end of Remake. Look at how the scene is composed, Barrett is far behind Aerith and no one else is in the shot, so he's definitely talking directly to her and no one else. If he wanted to help the "Party" then I would naturally think he'd be talking to Cloud or Barrett (the leaders) or all of them at once, but he wants to help Aerith specifically. This leads me to believe they're headed to the Temple of the Ancients soon after this. I think this is the most likely explanation.
On the topic of Cid swindling the party, Ray Coffman dropped a banger of a theory the other day on his channel. He predicted that Cid is secretly hoping to get back into Shinra’s good graces by delivering the party to them, maybe in hopes that they’ll give him his old job back with the Shinra space program. When they get to Rocket Town, Rufus backs out of the deal, and Cid lashes out, stealing the tiny bronco and teaming up with the party to fight against Shinra Chef kiss🤌🏼
That's awesome! I actually just tweeted a similar theory! Cid gives Shinra the Keystone, not Cait Sith, in a last-ditch effort to achieve his dream. Shinra screws him over again though. We'll wait for Part 3 for Cid back in Rocket Town where Shinra shoots down the Tiny Bronco he apologizes to the party and joins them

Great video as always. A few thoughts of my own: 1) After the Tiny Bronco takes off, it cuts to Yuffie. It looks like she's starting to float, which makes me wonder if that scene is actually the rocket leaving the planet and not inside the Tiny Bronco, and gravity is going away. 2) In the original, Dyne is limping, almost dragging himself towards the cliff after the fight with Barrett. I never thought he had a chance at survival and was just dying on his own terms, rather than bleed out. So I think he's still going to die, but maybe from gunshot wounds and not suicide.
😅 I don't like the idea of each character's story changing and they overcome fate but I think it's setting up to give hope that Aerith will too. But I don't think she will.
@@FinalFanTV yeah I’m the same way. I do admittedly have a level of inconsistency or bias in this regard personally. In OG, I was always really drawn to Biggs’ design. I thought he was just so cool, and then Remake validated that in it’s awesome fidelity. When I saw Remake’s ending and how it opted to frame him as surviving, I was hype! Haha but I think you’re right about the usage of “changing fate” and how that will affect certain characters to make us uncertain of Aerith’s fate. I hadn’t considered Dyne’s fate as a candidate for this…but once you mentioned the ESRB thing, that really moved the needle for me.
Honestly, I’ll be mad if once again I can’t visit the Icicle Inn with Aerith so I have hope the developers thought about that. It always felt wrong how we Aerith wasn’t at the Icicle Inn for me. So maybe we go to the Icicle Inn first and then Rocket Town in Game 3. The story could enter truly uncharted territory even if they keep following key moments in Game 3 as expected.
Aerith might learn to control the whispers and stops Cloud from interviening... or maybe she was in control all along... or alternate timeline Aerith was in control of them, but is unconscious now, and when she wakes up regains control and stops any intervention, allowing our Aerith to die, because she knows it has to happen.

I don't know, maybe Cid and the Tiny Bronco will just act as a fast travel system in this game. Since he's not gonna be playable as a party member, that could be a logical way to make him relevant to the story. But I'm not taking a huge risk speculating on that one... if I were to make a bolder assumption I'd say maybe Cid is going to be the Shinra mole of the party this time around. Everyone expects Cait Sith to give the Keystone to Shinra like he did in the og, but what if Cid was working for Palmer under the false promise to restart Shinra's space program ? 😅 Cid could have a great redemption arc in the third game if that was the case.
My issues with the "Zack's world is where all tgevpeople who died go" theory is the fact that it implies Marleen died, Jessie and Wedge survived while Biggs died, Elmira died, and a lotbofnother characters the show up in both contradict that theory. I'm not apposed to Aerith dying and going to Zack's timeline/reality, but that it is the "purgatory" area is where it doesn't make any sense. I also feel like Zack saying "I can feel every nullet" seems more like he is describing a dream to someone and not that he is still feeling those bullets. I could be wrong but the way the line is delivered is a lot like how movies and TV shows have characters describe dreams that do have meaning or reveal what should be the truth. He Cann feel every bullet in his dream like a lucid dream. I like how they took the current real life AI controversy and put it into the game with Jessie. The line with Cloud and Tifa could be on the Tifa date scene on the gondola. Cid being the Tiny Bronco pilot to shuttle the party around is exactly what I thought his role would be when we found out he won't be playable. Not seeing ro ket town makes sense. Given how in part 3 we would be going there to go into space to destroy meteor, they may have left into introduction till then sense the ONLY reason yo go to rocket Town was to get the tiny Bronco. In addition that only happens because Shinra wanted it which doesn't make sense seeing as Shinra has TONS of air vehicles to travel including the highwind. I heard a theory that Cid is "helping" aerith because he isblooking for thT 500k reward. It would be interesting to see Cid be the traitor instead of Cait, but he could easily want to help because Shinra shut down his program and he wants revenge. It's too early to tell. I still think we will go to Mt. Nibel and I think we'll get a "rematch" woth the materia keeper. BUT that's just speculation. I've held onto the idea that Mt. Nicely will be a very important moment for Cloud to return to in Rebirth well before we knew its actual name. Cloud can't remember hoe his encounter ended in the flashback and revisiting it would be a great time for him to replay that event and reconfront sephiroth. Last time I checked un-aliving is not outright mentioned in esrb ratings and instead fall under "mature themes" or something like that. There are plenty of games that have that subject to matter that it isn't mentioned in esrb ratings... although I will say in the detailed breakdown it doesn't mention it so who knows? Maybe it's more like Dyne's fate is just left ambiguous. The final scene in the trailer still doesn't tell me anything about her fate. There are still wo many questions. Are the whispers controlled by Sephiroth? Are they theblofe stream? The black feather is definitely Sephiroth, but is it current timeline Sephy or the Sephy from the end of remake? Are there 2, or even 3 different sephiroths running around? If sephiroth wants to change the future why kill aerith? Holy failed in the og and aerith had to convince the planet to use the lifestream to protect itself. Wouldn't keeping her alive prevent that from happening? So many questions.
Have you seen the last team poster they released? It seems like it’s similar to what they did with Remake on the bridge, showing the last moments of the Remake. Now in the new poster they are all together and it’s like they are coming out of the Corel cave looking at the snowy mountains. Seems like the end of Rebirth.
First off, why is no one talking about the slowed down Temple of the Ancients music playing during the trailer? Second, how are they going to handle having Cid and Vincent both as guest characters? Will we pick which one participates as an extension of our party lineup? Will they still level up normally since we have them for a much longer period than we had Red in Remake?
Definitely have to focus on music in the next breakdown. What happens is, I literally go frame-by-frame and point out visual details then focus so much on what is being said I tune out the music. And I think Vincent will team up in the Mansion and probably return to slumber when done helping the party or say he needs to leave and be part of INTERmission Part 2 DLC. I actually dont think Cid will fight. I think he's gonna be there to shuttle the party to Temple of the Ancients and Northern Continent.

I guess I just assumed that Cid being a guest character meant that he fights with us, but you never know. He could just be an NPC.

Great question! So I've been thinking alot about this after publishing the video: I'm thinking that Cid is swindling the party because he wants to cash in on the Bounty in a last ditch effort to have Shinra fund his dream of going to space. I think Shinra will screw him over again. Then in Part 3, we find Cid in Rocket Town where he will have to reconcile with the party. As for not visiting Rocket Town in rebirth, I think Cid will shuttle them in a fully functioning Tiny Bronco to the Temple of the ancients from an air strip outside of Nibelheim. And then possibly fly them to the Northern Continent.

Yes. According to Howlongtobeat.com the average completion time for Remake's main story only is 33 hours. That seems accurate. So if 40 hours is true for main story only, Rebirth will be a bit longer!

I was thinking, what if Cloud in Zack’s timeline ends up thinking he is Sephiroth instead of Zack (since Zack is obviously still alive here, Cloud can’t “steal” his identity anymore)? The cells could read Zack’s memories of Sephiroth and insert Cloud into them instead. Also, since Tifa is assumedly dead here she can no longer help piece him back together, and if Cloud thinks he’s Sephiroth he’ll be doing Seph’s work for him unknowingly. I just wonder how this “SephiCloud” would react when seeing the **real** Sephiroth? Would he just “break” after realizing he’s a puppet/clone much like the OG game? If so, could Seph somehow use THAT Cloud to manipulate Cloud in the Beagle timeline? Idk lol This would also make Cloud a potential boss fight for Zack. Of course, one of the main holes in this theory is that the cells could also read Zack’s memories of Cloud as well, but maybe Sephiroth has enough control over him to keep that from happening? I dunno, this theory is probably so wrong with many holes, I didn’t even bring up Marlene and this timeline’s Aerith. Perhaps Seph (or even “SephiCloud”) will kill her off way sooner here because she isn’t needed. I say “needed” because I think Seph kept Beagle TL Aerith alive because in order for “fate” to be defeated she needed to be around. Otherwise I’m sure he would’ve killed her right away if he truly didn’t need her. Sorry for the novel lol- I figured this was something worth sharing. You know, food for thought haha. All I know is that this game is gonna be one heck of an emotional roller coaster ride-

I still feel that people who opened their minds to this new reimagining of the OG FF7 and didn’t lock themselves behind because it isn’t just a faithful story copy Remake of the OG game will be glad they decided to immerse themselves in this new experience of this world and characters written by the OG writer and composer. They are treating us better than any other Remake could ever deliver imo and by the end of it, we will have a new story in the universe of FF7 to be proud of as fans. Might not be the same, but it will at least be something fresh that will make us talk for another 30 years. Cheers!
Cid being happy to help is kinda like how Red was like "if it is to be a hunt, you could use a nose like mine" in remake while in OG he is grumpy like "I'm going to my hometown. I'll go with you as far as that". In a sense, a lot of characterizations aren't in accordance with the OG, but somehow fits anyway. I have a small theory, which I have seen few others have. The Aerith death scene is actually the OG event. With FF VII remake being canon, the OG timeline would be filled with the whispers as well, we just didn't seem them. It is also a timeline in which the whispers didn't need to intervene the way they did in remake, so they just observe. With destiny shattered, we could be seeing a version of how it should be, and now with the ability to see the whispers (either like how we the audience see them in Zacks last stand) or that the party sees them as well in a place like the singularity. We might even see other iterations as too why destiny forged the OG path to begin with.
Interesting take. I don’t get people being fixated on what happens to aerith. It’s pretty morbid and not a good thing what happens to her. I personally don’t think they will go down the same path as before. I think they are changing things and doing something different this time around. I like your take that that scene is the original scene playing out not rebirth.

Last time I checked un-aliving is not outright mentioned in esrb ratings and instead fall under "mature themes" or something like that. There are plenty of games that have that subject to matter that it isn't mentioned in esrb ratings... although I will say in the detailed breakdown it doesn't mention it so who knows? Maybe it's more like Dyne's fate is just left ambiguous.
The final scene in the trailer still doesn't tell me anything about her fate. There are still wo many questions. Are the whispers controlled by Sephiroth? Are they theblofe stream? The black feather is definitely Sephiroth, but is it current timeline Sephy or the Sephy from the end of remake? Are there 2, or even 3 different sephiroths running around?
If sephiroth wants to change the future why kill aerith? Holy failed in the og and aerith had to convince the planet to use the lifestream to protect itself. Wouldn't keeping her alive prevent that from happening?
So many questions.

Have you seen the last team poster they released? It seems like it’s similar to what they did with Remake on the bridge, showing the last moments of the Remake.
Now in the new poster they are all together and it’s like they are coming out of the Corel cave looking at the snowy mountains. Seems like the end of Rebirth.

First off, why is no one talking about the slowed down Temple of the Ancients music playing during the trailer?
Second, how are they going to handle having Cid and Vincent both as guest characters? Will we pick which one participates as an extension of our party lineup? Will they still level up normally since we have them for a much longer period than we had Red in Remake?
Definitely have to focus on music in the next breakdown. What happens is, I literally go frame-by-frame and point out visual details then focus so much on what is being said I tune out the music. My bad. Thanks for the feedback though!!
And I think Vincent will team up in the Mansion and probably return to slumber when done helping the party or say he needs to leave and be part of INTERmission Part 2 DLC.
I actually dont think Cid will fight. I think he's gonna be there to shuttle the party to Temple of the Ancients and Northern Continent.

That's a interesting idea for balancing out Cid and Vincent. I guess I just assumed that Cid being a guest character meant that he fights with us, but you never know. He could just be an NPC.

Great question! So I've been thinking alot about this after publishing the video:
I'm thinking that Cid is swindling the party because he wants to cash in on the Bounty in a last ditch effort to have Shinra fund his dream of going to space. I think Shinra will screw him over again. Then in Part 3, we find Cid in Rocket Town where he will have to reconcile with the party.
As for not visiting Rocket Town in rebirth, I think Cid will shuttle them in a fully functioning Tiny Bronco to the Temple of the ancients from an air strip outside of Nibelheim. And then possibly fly them to the Northern Continent.

Yes. According to Howlongtobeat.com the average completion time for Remake's main story only is 33 hours. That seems accurate. So if 40 hours is true for main story only, Rebirth will be a bit longer!

I was thinking, what if Cloud in Zack’s timeline ends up thinking he is Sephiroth instead of Zack (since Zack is obviously still alive here, Cloud can’t “steal” his identity anymore)? The cells could read Zack’s memories of Sephiroth and insert Cloud into them instead. Also, since Tifa is assumedly dead here she can no longer help piece him back together, and if Cloud thinks he’s Sephiroth he’ll be doing Seph’s work for him unknowingly. I just wonder how this “SephiCloud” would react when seeing the **real** Sephiroth? Would he just “break” after realizing he’s a puppet/clone much like the OG game? If so, could Seph somehow use THAT Cloud to manipulate Cloud in the Beagle timeline? Idk lol This would also make Cloud a potential boss fight for Zack.
Of course, one of the main holes in this theory is that the cells could also read Zack’s memories of Cloud as well, but maybe Sephiroth has enough control over him to keep that from happening? I dunno, this theory is probably so wrong with many holes, I didn’t even bring up Marlene and this timeline’s Aerith. Perhaps Seph (or even “SephiCloud”) will kill her off way sooner here because she isn’t needed. I say “needed” because I think Seph kept Beagle TL Aerith alive because in order for “fate” to be defeated she needed to be around. Otherwise I’m sure he would’ve killed her right away if he truly didn’t need her.

I still feel that people who opened their minds to this new reimagining of the OG FF7 and didn’t lock themselves behind because it isn’t just a faithful story copy Remake of the OG game will be glad they decided to immerse themselves in this new experience of this world and characters written by the OG writer and composer.
They are treating us better than any other Remake could ever deliver imo and by the end of it, we will have a new story in the universe of FF7 to be proud of as fans.
Might not be the same, but it will at least be something fresh that will make us talk for another 30 years. Cheers!
Cid being happy to help is kinda like how Red was like "if it is to be a hunt, you could use a nose like mine" in remake while in OG he is grumpy like "I'm going to my hometown. I'll go with you as far as that". In a sense, a lot of characterizations aren't in accordance with the OG, but somehow fits anyway.
I have a small theory, which I have seen few others have. The Aerith death scene is actually the OG event. With FF VII remake being canon, the OG timeline would be filled with the whispers as well, we just didn't seem them. It is also a timeline in which the whispers didn't need to intervene the way they did in remake, so they just observe. With destiny shattered, we could be seeing a version of how it should be, and now with the ability to see the whispers (either like how we the audience see them in Zacks last stand) or that the party sees them as well in a place like the singularity. We might even see other iterations as too why destiny forged the OG path to begin with.
Interesting take. I don’t get people being fixated on what happens to aerith. It’s pretty morbid and not a good thing what happens to her. I personally don’t think they will go down the same path as before. I think they are changing things and doing something different this time around. I like your take that that scene is the original scene playing out not rebirth.
