    top stuff Brett!! love your vids mate, they are always helpful.
    I just fit a Redarc Brake controller to my MY20 GLS Paj, used the Mitsi supplied redarc and the factory loom for it so was pretty much plug and play once you get the rear trim off etc, it was a pretty easy job and worked a treat the last 6 days when I went up the Murray with the camper.
    Only thing I wish Mitsubishi did was with the factory tow kit they should put a 12 pin plug rather than a 7.
    Anyway have a good Australia day holiday mate!

    Cheers Ant

    • @DENMONKEY
      @DENMONKEY  3 года назад +1

      Hey Ant, yeah mate stuck them into the low beam but they also fit into the high beam. So you can just get 2 of the same. Right now I have some auxbeams in the high beams. they were sent to me for review but weren't much good. so the review didn't happen. I only like to review stuff or share things that Im impressed with. One of my nighteyes started to flicker a week or so ago but has since sorted itself. I think it may have got dirt in it or something. Since I was so happy with them for the price I got straight on ebay and ordered a 2nd set. So I have them sitting there ready to go. So might swap them into the highs when i think of it.

    Great vids Brett especially the Super Select vs traction control one, so good to see those comparisons.
    Anyway, I want to change the door and mirror globes for a trip coming up as these are the only ones that don't turn off if you switch the master near the rear vision mirror. Sorry I didn't get which globes you were saying (the less bright ones I was looking for) were the best, you said T10s and your link takes me to 10x AUXITO T10 W5W LED Wedge Interior Number Plate Light Globe 6000K Error Free which look like they are the right thing but different to what you showed on the vid - these are independent little globes - are these the newer type to get? Or are these the ones you were saying fall apart. Thanks mate.

    • @DENMONKEY
      @DENMONKEY  3 года назад +1

      No worries John, thanks for the compliment mate. The 2nd link is the t10s I recommend(AUXITO). The ones I put in in this video which are the same ones you see in the top right hand corner of the image for this video, are still all working. I also placed them into another vehicles parkers. I've yet to have one fail . The other ones that failed were ones that my mate gave me and look more like a conventional bulb(kinda) where the good ones like like they are flat. hope that all makes sense

      @@DENMONKEY Thanks Brett, OK its not that much to give them a go. Thanks so much for what you do. I was googling how to turn off all Pajero lights when camping because all except 6 (4 doors and 2 side mirror) are off with the master switch. Weird Mitsubishi wouldn't make the master switch off ALL interior lights but anyway you have given me a way to least drastically cut the usage with 6 x LEDs and make it less likely I will drain the battery in the middle of no where.

  • @johnhackwood1568
    @johnhackwood1568 3 года назад

    Hey Brett me again. DO you know the size name for the little mini globe in the glovebox? Its about 16mm long and about 5mm wide. Of all the bulbs that needs to be bright it's this one. Can't see what LED light would suit.
    Also for everyone else, I found when removing the bottom door bulbs, perhaps because they are naturally on when you access and remove them, I blew a fuse. It was an obscure 15amp fuse and when blown you lose the navigation system, rear camera, radio and other important stuff. After a lot of frustration I found the fuse in the engine bay fuse holder (2013 Pajero) which is within a separate yellow plastic holder that has a 15 amp and 10 amp fuse. I had to lift this up (but not off) so it stays in place but lifts up to a notch using piers gently held on 2 sides of this holder. This effectively lifts up and disconnects the fuses within the holder and then you can easily replace. The 15amp fuse was blown the only spare I didn't have so had to race off to Supercheap. So if I am changing these bulbs again in the doors I would lift this yellow holder holder up to disengage the fuses first within so no fuse will be blown. If you don't want to bother doing this, I would just make sure you have a spare 15amp fuse. Hope it helps someone.

    • @DENMONKEY
      @DENMONKEY  3 года назад +1

      Hey John, I can say I do. I know you have to remove the wiring for it when you drop the give box. I didn't pay too much attention but I remember thinking it was going to be a tough one to replace but I haven't taken it from it's housing to look closer I'm afraid. Yes good lesson on the site bulbs. I do remember having to grab them with pliers because the originals were so busy hot. Didn't do any fuses though.

    • @johnhackwood1568
      @johnhackwood1568 3 года назад

      @@DENMONKEY Actually glovebox comes out easily to gain access and after the little cover which is near impossible to work out, the bulb is just sitting there. No wiring to remove. So confess I broke the little cover to get at the bulb but really that cover is not doing much as the bulb is hidden anyway and pretty dim. Then the bulb comes out with gentle pliers pressure. If I could upload a photo I would. I will take it to Jaycar or Repco and see if they have something and let you know.

    • @DENMONKEY
      @DENMONKEY  3 года назад +1

      I think we're talking about the same globe. When you pull the glove box out you need to remove the housing with the globe and the wiring that runs toward the middle of the car. It just unclips. Handy tip though, it comes on with the head lights. So it's a good wire to jumper to make your stereo head unit dim when the lights are turned on 😉

    • @johnhackwood1568
      @johnhackwood1568 3 года назад

      So the LED for the glovebox is a T5 you can get from Jaycar for about $3. When I said the glovebox comes away easily well really it it drops out of the way but is still connected. But there is a lug that hooks onto a soft close plunger and it's easy to break that away :( . My advice, forget the LED in the glovebox you have to be extra silly to leave it on so it's low risk if the goal is to reduce the risk of a flat starter battery when camping which was my reason to do all this.
