Whish one of these bulbs will work properly with the dimmer for the instrument cluster, or for those cars that dim the interior lights until they are off like my 2000 Grand Prix GTP when you shut the doors?
Most people after a t5, are after backlight for gauges. The wrong style will cause blotchy light, or "hot spots". . . .I'd also like to add, that you should choose an led that will cast light into the reflector if applicable. A forward facing led will never put as much usable light out of a reflector housing, as an appropriately designed 2 sided led.
I've been using Osram t10 in my front sidelights since 2007 swapped into 3 new work vans used on average 50hrs a week and still going strong 13yrs later. The original glass bulbs would only last 6weeks or so.
The main problem i have with T10 dashboard lights is that they never have the light source in the correct spot, so the factory diffusers within the cluster no longer function correctly and as a result, you get hot spots and shadows.
I've run across the same issue. You have to try and figure out if you need a lamp that offers more light off the end or the sides and try and pick the one that would work best. It can get expensive in a hurry you end up have to try 5 different types. 😒
That is a fantastic option, you will really love the finished product with those LEDs! Let us know if you need anything else or have any other questions, we are here to help!

Any recommendation on whihc LEDs are best for dash lights?
Any of them will be fine, no need to worry too much about heat. Bulbs this small do not produce much heat at all!
Looking for something to replace my T10/W5W parking/position lights inside headlights that have a reflector. 6000K to blend in with my 6000K xenon H7 low beams. No need for canbus because they're not monitored. Recommendations? Please

My wife's car was rear ended and they fixed it but never put in the trunk light. I bought a t10 194. But it doesn't fit into the socket. I think they wired in the wrong socket. I need something smaller. What do I buy?
I would suggest reaching out to our CS team so we can go over some options with you!

Hi, because LED low voltage usage, how do I compensate my car PC. I have a 2005 Jaguar XK8. I was told that I did to use diodes
You can sure what's called a PWM (pulse with module). That can correct the electrical flow so the bulb can work on your vehicle.

Thank you! Great vid excellent presentation!!
Such a great video! I've been messing with Led bulbs for a while now, mostly store bought and not very high quality, or even wiring small pcbs instead of tubular bulbs.
I've come to some conclusions myself, but you explain all just perfectly and give great advice on brands and types of application.
Thanks!
You are so welcome!
can anyone refer me to a t5 led that projects light only out the side? Its for my instrument cluster and standard t5 bulbs that project light foreword cause bright spots

I would appreciate more information on lumens. Brighter isn't always better.
Great point! Brighter isn’t always better - it’s about finding the right balance and beam pattern for your needs. The "SPECIFICATIONS" tab under each product listing on our website has all the lumen and tech details you’re looking for, as lumens can vary depending on the bulb. Feel free to check it out, and let us know if you have any questions - we’re here to help!

Great video…..you know more about bulbs than most. I’m trying to find a replacement bulb for my rv. The bulb is a 921…I think that means it’s a T15. I’d like to get a daylight sort of light….bright as possible. What would you recommend ?
